The young vampire laid there, his body damaged and his mind fading. Completely unaware of his friends transformation.

Both were broken, their pieces scattered and lost. They'd look back at this incident and see it as a turning point. One lost to his new powers, another to his injuries.

Perhaps they were lost forever, or perhaps they'll be able to pick up the pieces, heal and move on. Or perhaps they'd be lost forever. Either way, neither of them would ever be the same again.
