He gave a weak smile briefly as he heard the encouragement from his friend, though it disappeared as his face started to wince. No matter what, he was going to beat a minute 15, he had to. He must've gotten better by now, after all that time. It was impossible for him to have not improved. Though every passing second felt worse than the last, making the feat seem impossible.

At a minute and ten seconds, his body was trembling all over and his face was redder than a tomato. The leaf seemed to reflect this, shaking around a little with him. His body was really weak, he could already tell, but he kept it up, and before long, he got there.

1:13, 1:14, 1:15... 1:16, 1:17. He was 2 seconds over when he felt his ears pop. The lights faded, the leaf dropped and Alby followed suit. Although, this time was a little different. The ear popping thing was new, and on top of feeling utterly exhausted, he had a headache. On top of these was the usual feeling of being completely tuckered out. He wasn't unconscious, but he definitely didn't feel like standing back up at the moment.

He'd watch as his friend strained to hold up the leaf and then unexpectedly collapse. "Alby!?"he'd jump up from where he was standing, moving to Alby. "Fuck man....you ok?"

The dragon would take knee besides his friend, looking him over. "Uh.....you want me to call the hospital?" he'd look to his phone, closing the stop watch and switching to the phone function to call an ambulance.

"Is anything hurting?" he'd ask.

Alby stayed put where he was until Eein came over. He closed his eyes tight and then flopped over so that he could face him without actually getting up. "I'm fine, I'm fine." He blinked hard again and then opened his eyes to see his friend. "I just overdid it a little. This is normal." His breathing was pretty fast and he looked like someone who'd just finished running a marathon.

He tried to get up, only to wince and fall back right away. "I just need a few minutes and I'll be good again. I got a bit of a headache, but other than that I'm just feeling sore." Alby had a more important question on his mind than his own well being. "What was my time?"

He'd sigh and take a seat in the grass. "Well...as long as your ok," he'd look at the timer, "a minute and seventeen seconds." He'd put his phone away, thinking a moment before looking to Alby.

"Ok so.....you're sore?" he'd say, more as a statement than a question. "So that means there is a connection between your telekinesis and your physical body, it's not just a mental thing."

The dragon would hum in thought. "Maybe you need a different type of training besides lifting things?" he'd scratch at his cheek. "How long have you been at your current weight limit?"

Alby closed his eyes to rest while Eein was talking to him, only to open them shortly after when he heard his time. "A minute seventeen?" His head still hurt, but that didn't stop him from smirking. "And yeah, I always get sore when I do this for a long time." Some people might not consider a minute of leaf lifting to be a long time, but those people probably hadn't tried doing it with their mind.

"I've been at a minute fifteen with the leaf thing for as long as I can remember, I think I had a lighter leaf a long time ago and got a good time and haven't managed to beat it since. At least until now." He had trouble getting enthusiastic in his current state, but it was still visible. "Definitely didn't cheat either, that leaf was on the bigger end if anything." Alby was very proud of the extra two seconds.

He'd lean back, thinking for a moment. "Maybe you should have yourself examined when using your power?" he'd suggest, scratching at his chin thoughtfully. "Someone who can detect how the telekinetic energy moves and reacts as your using it." He was kinda curious about how it all works.

"Maybe a magic doctor?" there were plenty of them on the island so lots to choose from. "I'm sure the school has a lot you can see for the tests," he'd hum in thought.

"Did your parents have powers?" he'd ask, wondering if there was anyone in his family who could give advice.

"I never thought about doing that, that's a great idea." Alby never even considered that. With all the research he'd been doing, there were still loads of things that were more possible than he thought.

"No, they're totally normal. As far as I know, nobody in my family has ever had psychic powers, or any powers for that matter."

Alby winced, taking another whack at sitting up. This time he managed to sit up, though it certainly didn't look easy. "There. Already doing a bit better."

Eein would glance over at the weights they'd brought. "Well....I guess we won't be needing those," he'd say with a tiny chuckle.

Eein would pick the leaf Alby had been lifting, spinning it in his fingers. "You should get some custom weights, just for training your telekinesis."

He'd look Alby over. "Ok, so, you gonna be ok to walk," he'd ask. "If not.....well I could shift and fly you back to the school if you'd like." One of the perks of being a dragon, quick travel through the air.

Alby laughed kind of weakly. "Nope, guess not." He looked over at the weights with an almost serious look across his face before turning back to Eein to listen to what else he had to say.

"Custom weights might be nice, but I do question if they make 'em go light enough."

After being asked if he was going to be able to walk, Alby made a small effort to stand up, before sitting back down and giving up. "I'd be good with that." Being flown back sounded like a pretty sweet deal to him. "If I can just get back to my bed and rest up, I should be back to normal in no time."
