"Huh... so you have a power that I can download onto my smartphone? Kinda lame but... whatever. I guess its useful." dismissed Nyota, clearly not impressed by Klef apparent powers before she added "The glowing eye thing is kinda cool though... I guess."

Super tight? Eww... gross. This kid must not know how to talk to people. Whatever she thought as she turns her attention back to the Castiel.

"Whoa! You fried someone's brain?! Thats awesome!" blurted out Nyota

She couldn't help but curl a smile and admire him with her luminous eyes. Now HE was someone that peeked her interest. Handsome, tough exterior, impressive powers, Russian... someone about him resonated in her. Sure most people would have been off put by the fact that they are sharing a room with someone who murdered someone with their mind but Nyota always seems to have appreciated people who could hold their own and were willing take matters into their own hands. Whoever it was Castiel killed probably had it coming anyway. Still... deep down... even she was slightly fearful of him, knowing that was was more than capable of frying her brain at any moment. But... she wasn't about to show him that said of her as showing weakness wasn't in her character.

"Hee... your already in your room you dork." laughed Nyota as she points to two unclaimed beds by the wall.

Klef’s eyes widened. Frankly, just the fact that the boy was had the ability to murder people with his mind was unsettling, let alone kill someone. Questions such as Why? and Who? tried their damnedest to slip out and yet Klef refused to utter a single word. Having the genuine desire to get along with their roommates no matter how murderous they may be, Klef was wary of saying anything that would deter those goals.

Their attention shifted back to Nyota, who was clearly not impressed with their powers. It was true that their powers were basically useless thanks to the existence of smartphones. “ Well not everyone has a smartphone… but thanks...” Klef mumbled.

The sudden change of personality whenever Nyota talked to Castiel never failed to both amuse and confuse Klef so far, as this was the second time it happened. In contrast to Klef, Nyota seemed to be impressed by Castiels feats, or at least she did a good job at pretending. They were unable to put their finger on why, but it became increasingly more obvious that Nyota had some sort of affinity for Castiel.

“ Dibs on this one!” Klef gestured over to the bed furthest to the right. Having a corner entirely to themselves was especially appealing for a person with a budding interest in interior design. Even after looking at it for only a few seconds already knew exactly where they would hang twinkle lights, if they actually had them.

“ So… Um… Do you guys have any plans for today?” Klef asked, trying to make small talk with their new roommates.

It’s not awesome at all, he thought to himself. He didn’t even remember it. He was filled in by the Scout that had come to recruit him. He didn’t feel like sharing anymore, so he kept his mouth shut. He didn’t really feel like talking at all, so he gripped his luggage tighter. He did realize she was smirking. Was admiration or cockiness evident on her face? He looked back to his luggage and reread the tag on it. Looking for distractions was honestly the only thing that kept him sane in these situations.

He saw Klef’s (was that their name?) eyes widen. It was only natural, of course. He’d gotten the same reaction a few times, only this time they didn’t back away or say anything. Castiel could tell they really wanted to make this work, huh.

”WHAT.” Castiel said through gritted teeth, glaring at Nyota. ”A SHARED ROOM, HUH?” His tolerance for this just hit rock bottom. He had to wade in this filth every morning? He had to sleep in the same room as these people? His world shattered. What else would they have to do? Take showers together? Eat out of the same bowl? Castiel was at a loss for words. He was radiating annoyance and a pretty large amount of anger. He rolled his luggage and walked towards the bed farthest from the heaping trash pile that was this room. He laid his backpack onto the barren mattress and sat down, his hands covering his face. Just what had he gotten himself into?

"Well... it wasn't a shared room until you two nerds barged in." groaned Nyota as she rolled her eyes to Castiel and turned her attention back to Klef.

"As for plans... that depends. What day is it today?" inquired Nyota while she inspected her nails.

Nyota still wasn't sure what day it even was. She could have classes right now and she would be none the wiser. She had already decided that she was going to skip her first class be she wasn't to stretch her luck and skip anymore classes than she had to... that is assuming today wasn't a weekend. In which case she was probably going to going to lay in her bed all day after she wipes off all of the crumbs.

Chuckling at Castiel's over the top reaction to the three of them sharing a room, Klef made their way over to what was now claimed as their territory. "Um... You alright over there?" Klef asked the sulking boy. " It's better than sharing a room with four people amiright?"

" I'm actually not too sure my self.... To be honest. I don't even know what time it is. Let me check my watch..." Klef answered, fishing through their hoodie pocket in hopes of finding their watch. It had been a rough several days or weeks journeying over to Starlight Academy, Klef lost track of the time rather early on. " But, I'm pretty sure it's sometime in the morning." They murmured as their eyes started to glow. One of the perks of aura detection was that it was almost impossible to lose track of anything, even tacky plastic watches.

Found it. The watch was completely shattered, if Klef was actually a philosophical person they would probably see it as a metaphor for something deep like death or broken relationships, but they were not. A slightly disappointed expression appeared on Klef's face as they studied the demolished dial that consisted of a motley of colors that were clearly not meant to be together. Klef's hopes of showing it off to their new classmates were completely dashed. It truly was a tacky watch.

" According to my watch it is... 11:24 PM... Funny, I didn't think daylights saving time would bring us this far back." They joked, readjusting their position to better see Nyota. The faint glow in their eyes from searching through their pocket still remained. " I don't have any classes yet, right now is just adjustment period so I'm free all week." Klef told them, plopping down onto their new bed. " I'm kind of tempted to explore Mante Carlos city since there's no real unpacking I need to do."

Castiel was already trying to tidy up his corner. No use sulking when you can get rid of the problem. Some trash from the other side of the room had already rolled to his side. “All I know is that my classes start next week.” He responded as he started unpacking his sheets. He looked out of the window. “It’s definitely morning.”

He started putting his clothes in the wooden dresser next to his bed as he saw Klef found a broken, colourful watch. More garbage, He thought. He looked down. He hadn’t had the chance to see the city, except from the window of a car. He really didn’t want to go with anyone to view the city, but he didn’t want to admit he had a horrible sense of direction. ”I, uh, don’t have anything going on, since, ya know, I moved across the world.” He looked down. “I actually haven’t had the chance to go see the city yet.”

"Ugh... some help you two are... useless. Whatever... I'm used to having to do things myself." grumbled Nyota as she walks her way to the desk next to her bed.

Laying on the corner of the desk, Nyota tapped the home button on her smartphone and the device's touchscreen display turned on. She had to squint her eyes to make out what day was listed on the phone but seeing that it didn't start with the letter "S", the could only mean that she had classes today.

"Crap... I guess I should start getting ready classes." grimaced Nyota as she searched dirty cloths on the floor, looking for the distinct white and cyan colors of the school outfit.

Among the laundry, Nyota gathered her uniform from the floor. She sniffed her clothes, then shrugged as she figured they didn't sleep to bad. Still... it was evident that she was going to have to do her own laundry from now on as there is no way she can get away with wearing the same old clothes day after day now that had other people living with her.

"Well if you two are going to explore the city, I won't be able to join you nerds until classes end at... 3 o clock? Whatever... you guys do whatever your going to do. Now if you will excuse me... I have to go change now."

With her uniform all balled up in her arm, Nyota waddled her way to the bathroom door. Once in front of the door, she balanced herself on her left foot while she lifted her leg and used her bare right foot to shimmy the door handle open it opened for her. Once she opened the door wide enough, Nyota slipped inside the bathroom, threw her outfit on the floor and locked the door just in case the two of them had any funny ideas.

Klef’s eyes lit up, figuratively this time. Taking Castiel’s comment as an invitation, they turned over to him with a beaming grin. “ You should come with me! I’ve heard so much about Mante Carlos and how it really lights up at night, it’s exciting that I might actually get to see it like that.”

“Classes?” Klef repeated, tilting their head. Their excitement died down after hearing that Nyota had school to attend. “ Ugh, that’s such a bummer.” They glanced over Nyota’s phone, it was hard to read what was on the screen from the distance, but it gave them an idea. “ I, uh, don’t have a phone… Castiel, do you? ‘Cause we could use it to meet up with you somewhere in the city, unless you have a lot of homework to do.”

They sat idly on the bed with their legs crossed while the two sorted and searched. Although it was a mistake, one of the few perks of having brought little to nothing on to Starlight was the lack of things to manage, meaning less things to clean, wash, or sort.

“I mean...” Castiel started. What had he gotten into? Did he really want to spend the day with Klef? He sighed. They were his new roommate, might as well try not to hate them. “I guess... I guess since we’re roommates...” He really wanted to go by himself, but there was no backing of this situation. He’d already started plugging in his laptop and phone chargers. He prided himself on being incredibly fast at putting stuff up. Castiel was really happy that he got all this room to himself, though.

He watched as Nyota started going to get ready. He didn’t even try to suppress the cocky smile of ‘you-have-class-and-i-don’t’. One thing about moving in while the semester was going was that you got a few days before you were required to go to class.

Castiel pulled his phone. He loved holding his phone because he had a soft animal print case around it. Fluffy things made him happy. “Of course I have a smartphone. Who do you think I am?” He didn’t want to clog his phone with new numbers, but if he had to, he might tolerate it.
