How much trouble can be found here?

Well this was a nice welcome. Destin lurked near some food stalls, listening to workers shout out to the people passing by. The streets were full of people. Young, old, alone or together with friends. Vibrant life. He both hated and loved these places. Loved them for what they stood for. Hated them for actually existing.

Might as well enjoy the moment though. There were endless chances to pull a prank, chase after a lot of bare leg or hang off of a well toned muscle, or meet some poor fool who might wake up in a lake drunk. Endless chances. It was just a roll of the dice. Actually, hanging off a well toned muscle sounded best right now. Maybe he could find more than one.

Destin flipped his top hat up, angling so it landed almost perfectly on his head. He stepped out into the crowd, following the flow to somewhere more interesting.

This was the first time Kamillia had ever been to a carnival. Carnivals did not exist in her home realm, and Kam had just recently moved to Manta Carlos. Kam found the place interesting; there was something oddly comforting about the place. Or maybe it was just the fact she was enjoying herself. There was food to eat, places to see, games to play, and people to watch. Another thing Kam found interesting was how much money this place would make tonight, not that money mattered to her or even most of the people who were here tonight. Most of these things were new to her, the games, the food, the rides, and the money concept. While Kamillia was taught about it, and told what to except she did not have firsthand experience until now. It made tonight a little overwhelming, but maybe in a good way.

The red headed girl stopped at one of the game booths. There were half blown up balloons of different colors hanging on a wall of what looked like cardboard. She tilted her head to the side, a little confused about this game. She watched a few people try their luck at it, a moment passed where she wondered if she should try her own luck at it. However, Kam knew this game wasn’t about luck. None of these carnival games were about luck. They were about skill and how much money you wanted to send.

Well that looked like a decent amount of trouble. Destin eyed a cute girl watching the balloon dart stand. Decent amount of trouble indeed. He slunk through the crowd to stand next to her, hat tilted to make him look mysteriously alluring. Destin motioned to the prizes hanging from the top.

"See something y' like? That panda seems to want a good home."

Destin gave the girl a sly grin, not quite flirting but close enough to it. Testing the waters. If she shoved him away, he'd find someone else. If not, he was willing to pay the high prices to win her affection.

Kamillia looked over at the man who walked up to her. There was an instant when she thought she should just walk away. There had been many people who had walked passed her, why would this random person start talking to her if there wasn’t a hidden intention. However, there was some curiosity in this encounter, Kam could learn something valuable, and she also believed if something bad were to happen she could fend for herself. The red head was not like most other girls who did not know how to defend themselves.

With a nice smooth smile at the man she responded “He is kind of cute. Are you offering to win him for me?” It was blunt, to say the least but Kamillia did not like to beat around the bush.

Maybe this was just how the locals would as it was commonly said ‘hook up’. Kamillia felt a little overwhelmed with how much she had to learn about this new world she was thrown into.

Destin winked cheekily at the girl, rolling up his sleeves as if he were preparing for a fight. It was all for show, of course it was. The game was clearly rigged with balloons blown up to the point where only a direct hit from the point would pop them. It didn't matter how many you popped either. You still had to pay twice to get the large prizes.

Destin didn't intend to play the game.

He looked like he was just walking past the booth while the tender explained things to a little girl. One hop, and he was on the ledge. Two hops, he'd grabbed the bear and catapulted himself back towards Kamillia. With a cheerful, spirited laugh he grabbed her hand and pulled her along beside him.
