Ember looked back and forth up and down the dark hallways before answering. "I don't know really. I mean, i love hanging out outside, but i also love getting together with a small group of friends and just talking, watching movies, you know?" Ember entered her thought, thinking about what to talk abut next, but she didn't know. "So what classes are you taking?" Was the only thing she could come up with.

Atalia looked around wondering where they were, because she had forgotten. "Err..Where are we? I don't remember..." She asked, reiterrating her inner thoughts, "Sorry if that's random, but I just forgot where I was... did you ask me something? Oh, my classes, err, just the normal stuff with some water manipulation classes...Kinda dirty here... Don't you think?"
Ember got confused for a second or two, what just happened? Hpw did she forget where she was? "Are you okay?" She asked. "Yeah...I guess it's kinda dirty here...." Ember spoke with uncertainty. What's with Atalia? Why is she acting so weird al of a sudden, so random...? Ember thought curiously to herself.
Atalia bursted out laughing with the expression on Ember's face. "Sorry if I confused you, but I can get kinda scatterbrained sometimes... so says Ela, I don't notice it, but apparently I do, especially with that look on you face!"
Ember blushed with slight mbarassment. "Sorry i got so confused..." She laughed. "Well, i mean it's kinda hard not to notice..."She said, not trying to sound rude or snooty.
"So, you like going to the movies?" She asked, changing the subject.

What is this, twenty questions? she thought to herself, she knew that Ember was only trying to get to know her, and have something to talk about, but Atalia could only answer so many questions at once. Plus, she didn't want to be rude..

"Oh..." Ember said slowly. She just sat there, not knowing at all what to do or say. She looked at Atalia to the darkness of the hallways.
Ember exhaled; deflated, she confessed. "Okay, I'm done. I have no more small talk."

Atalia noticed her expression and sighed, she wasn't trying to be mean, but was tired of answering endless questions. She looked up, and closed her eyes. "Sorry, me and Ela kinda found our own entertainment, and we also spent a lot of time trying to figure out our powers. Do you know how strange it is, to be a child, and being the only other one you know who has wings, is your sister, and you don't have anyone to tell you, your not a freak?"
"So, what did oyu guys do to entertain yourself then?" Ember asked. She forgot she was trying to cut donw on questions, but that one slipped out. Ember frowned and gave a low sigh. "...Well...Actually...I don't. I didn't have anyone to talk to, so I had to deal with it myself. Even though my dad went through the same thing as me, I could never talk to him. He'd alwasy say that all I needed was myself; and no one else in my life...."
Atalia looked her sternly, at the things she said her father had told her. She winced. "That's not true! People die without human contact! Why do you think solitary confinement is such an effective punishment!?" She stood up, and floated, angry. There were few things in this world that got Atalia riled up like so, and it was parents, especially parents who abandonded their children in their deepenst time of need. "I... I would have died without Elatrion, and I think she would have died without me..."
