Hopeless wandering..and maybe lost..

Ember wandered through the empty halls, bumping into something here and there. It was so dark, she could barely see a thing. Duh! How could i be so dumb?! She thought to herself and knocked on her forehead wondering why she hadn't thought about it before. She lifted her right hand in mid air and created a fire ball in the center of her palm, providing light for her to see. "That's better." She sighed in relief to shine some light on where she was going. She found a white candle sitting on an old wooden table. She picked it up and light the candle wick before extinguishing her fire ball.

As she wandered, she observed the walls, dusty and covered with cobwebs and spiders. Ember shivered with the thought of spiders, oh, how she hated them. As time passed, she drew tired of the hopless wandering down the dark hallways. She rested her back on the wall, and slid down sitting herself on the floor, thinking of what to do next.

Ember's breath was shallow as she tried to relax. She observed the candle's flame: the way it swirled around the wick, its color, its heat. At first, she didn't notice the faint light that was quite a distance from her, and when she did, the light disappeared, and a girl appeared form the shadows. She introduced herself as Atalia, so Emebr stood herself up and returned the greeting."Hi, I'm Ember. Ember Mars."

"What brings you to these musty hallways?"

"I guess I felt like exploring a bit, i guess..." She said with a shrug. "But then I sort of got a little lost..hehe. Well what about you? What brings you here?"

"Well, it's nice to meet you, Atalia Donatrice. You went with your sister, or you both just went walking but not together?" Ember asked.


"Find anything interesting besides spiders and dust?"

"No, not really. Although if you like quiet places, this sure is one of the places to be," Ember said with a light giggle. So, what's your power, Atalia?"

"Well for starters, I can fly. I can also manipulate water, and talk to animals."

"Really that's really cool. I've always wanted to talk to animals, especially my dog. You're lucky." Ember laughed. Sometimes she wished she made different powers instead of just one big one. But then again, it was only a thought.

What about yours? I'm guessing something to do with fire, from our name, and the fact you have a candle lit, and I don't see any matches, or lighters around here."

Ember gave a short applause for Atalia in her 'discovery'."You are correct! I can manipulate the element of fire. From the smallest little spark to the biggest fire-whirlwind, i can create it."

Changing the subject, Ember asked: "So, ave you found a roommate yet?"

"Really? That'd be awsome!" Ember said with a big smile.

"A fire-whirlwind, you say? Don't think I would like to be around when that booger is flying around! No offense, but water is much more my forte.

"You're probably right. It's basically a giant flaming twister. Someitmes i wonder what it'd be like to be a water bender, but i'm fire, so, oh well. What tricks can you do with water?" Ember asked, curious about what things she could do with water. Probably around the same things as me with fire. She thought.

"Well, having a twin sister, it kinda always entitles a project partner, room mate, study buddy, and pretty much anything else we do together."

"Oh, well, that kinda stinks though, don't you think? I mean, always being stuck with your twin sister. I know i'd get slightly annoyed. No offense."
