Nicolas walked through the forest. He'd always loved taking walks in the woods... it kind of reminded him of home, actually. However, that wasn't why he had decided to come here. He needed to get to know the grounds of the school, and since he was sure the lawn and the lake would be easy to navigate, why not start with the forest?

As he walked, the somewhat melted snow beneath his feet crunched, though he didn't really mind it. His hands were stuffed into the pockets of his coat, fingers fiddling around with some of the bandages he had in there. Perhaps he was just a little bit too paranoid, since most of his pockets were filled with bandages. But, oh well, it was habit, and it would be far too hard to change now. His hair hid his face, since he was looking down as he walked. Although, he did look up and glance around, since he didn't ant to walk into a tree or anything.

So, the young man continued on his way, the silence bothering him somewhat, but he would live with it.

((VERY low on BJ, but eating candy now ^^))
"Take that! And that"
A voice rang through the silence of the trees. Terra was in the next field over, pounding her enemies fort with snowballs. The fort had muffled cries coming from it, because it had holes and Terra was accurate.
"How do you like sneaking up on me now?"
She laughed. Finally, the boy ran off, and Terra leaned against a tree, chuckling.

"Take that! And that"

Nicolas raised an eyebrow. His curiosity got the better of him, and he couldn't help himself. He cautiously started walking toward the sound, just incase any violence was going on. He doubted that, though, and hopefully he'd be right. As he walked, he came upon the sight of a girl and some kid having a snowball fight.

Eventually, the kid ran off, and he almost laughed. He didn't want to, though, not wanting the girl to think he had snuck up on her; he didn't exactly want to get pounded with snow. Again, he couldn't help it, and laughed softly. Ah, well, if he got pounded at least snow didn't hurt much.

"Those poor kids..." he said quietly, walking into view of the female. "Hey, by the way."

Terra waved and chuckled.
"Would you like to have a kid trying to get you down and bury you in snow? He tried to do that to me but..."
She glowed with pride.
"He couldn't sneak up on me! No one can! Unless that's there power, then I guess they can..."
Terra kicked a snowball.
"So... Whatcha doing?"
She asked, watching the snowball roll into the trees. She sighed with boredom. The snowball fight was very fun, but now she was very bored.

"Would you like to have a kid trying to get you down and bury you in snow?......"

Nicolas laughed softly. "No, I suppose I wouldn't want that," he said. "That's why I was careful approaching you. I didn't want to get covered in snow." He shook his head, glad she hadn't thrown any snow at him. Well... yet, at least, and hopefully not at all.

He shrugged when she asked what he was doing. "Nothing, really," he replied. "Just going for a walk. What about you?" He paused for a moment. "I'm Nicolas, Nik or Nikki for short, by the way."

"Terra."
She smiled when she heard his nicknames.
"So, 'Nikki', I was just pulverizing the boy that ran off."
She looked where he had run and sighed.
"Such wimps. What do they teach these days."
She didn't mean to sound old or anything, but fleeing from a snowball fight was pretty babyish.

The male nodded when she said her name. "It's nice to meet you, Terra," he said.

"Such wimps. What do they teach these days."

Nicolas couldn't help but laugh at her statement. "Well, I don't know," he said. "But running away from a snowball fight is quite wimp-ish, I'll admit to that." The young man smiled, going silent for a few moments while he shook his head. "So, do you go to the academy?" he asked.

Terra nodded.
"But hardly ever go to class."
She chuckled again.
"What is the point of having classes is only one-fourth of the students go to them? Just a bit slow, if you ask me..."
She shook her head.
"Most of us would rather practice our powers an learn to use our powers properly."
She sighed.
"Most of the teachers think differently."
