It had been some time since Iaemor had gone home. During the last couple months he had been away, trying to feel the stagnation he had started to feel in life by changing his current situation. During that time he had been renting an apartment closer to the center of the city. However, he knew he would have to return home eventually. It was sometime in the afternoon when Iaemor walked up to his old door, and pulled his keys out to unlock it and let himself inside.

Walking through the entrance way, he felt at home and yet as he walked through the house, he started to feel as if something was off. Subconsciously picking up on the fact that some things in the house were not where he would have always kept them, or that thing that weren’t there before were there now. His conscious mind however simply put the feeling down to the fact that Maya had been the only one in the home while he had been away, except maybe for nightly visitors.

“Maya?” He called out as he made his way passed the living room towards the stairs. Intending to go up to his old room. He wouldn’t have been shocked if the house was empty, though it wasn’t Maya or him were the sort to lay around at home for no reason alone. “Are you home?” He called out again, as he reached the top of the stairs. “I suppose not.” He said to himself with a shrug as he started to head towards his room.

Before he reached his door though, he swore he heard something elsewhere in the house and looked over his shoulder expecting that Maya was home after all and had either not been in a position to answer, or was being quite on purpose in an attempt to sneak up and surprise him.

It was a boring day, mom was off doing something, or maybe someone, and Arna was busy with school. So Blair was alone and was deeply bored, so she'd float around, poking at this, going through things, made herself some ramen to eat. She felt like an average teenager, which was incredibly dull and boring to her.

The half demon tilted her head when she heard someone calling out for her mom, floating off the ground she'd head towards the sound. She found herself faced with a tall man, who looked maybe mildly familiar. She'd quickly slurp up some of her noodles. "If you're looking for a booty call my mom isn't here," she'd eat a little more of her noodles. "And I'm not into guys."

"Soooooooo......afraid you're gonna be a bit disappointed coming here," she'd sit cross legged in the air.

Iaemor face took on an expression of confusion briefly as he looked over to the person floating in the air behind him eating. "Your mother?" He replied, as he slowly turned around to face them directly. Iaemor took a couple steps towards them and watched them intently. Iaemor then stood up straighter and chuckled loudly. "Maya is your mother." It wasn't question, but a vocal acceptance of the fact. He wasn't shocked to find out had a child, but he was slightly surprised to discover them in his home. Iaemor was very likely had children out their of his own, but he had not taken part in their lives.

"Though I guess I am a little disappointed. I have not been home for a few month and I was hoping to catch up with my sister." Iaemor leaned forward and gave the teenager a wide grin. "My name is Iaemor. I suppose I am your uncle then." He straightened up once more and chuckle again wanting to see what the teens reaction was. "and I think you will find this is my house." He told them.

Growing an extra couple of inches, his hair darkened and hi hand took on their armour and clawed appearance, as well as the metal like wing sprouting from his back. Though they remaining tucked up, as not to take up too much space. Showing the kid both his demonic form and the fact he shared the ability to shape shift might have made the revelation harder to deny. "Had she not mentioned me?" He asked.

"And if you start complaining about your blue balls I swear I'll---Oooooooh its you." She'd slurp up the rest of her noodles, completely unfazed by her uncle shifting. "Yeah she told me, was wondering when you were gonna pop up, I expected you to be taller," she'd say, being the little shit she was.

"And the word your looking for is ours, as in it's our house," she'd stick her tongue out at him, her tail tossing the empty noodle cup into a trashcan. "Its a family home now," she'd say with a snicker, "I got the biggest room after yours and mom's."

Floating forward she'd look over the elder demon curiously. Now whereeeeeees my gift?" she'd ask, "here you are, back from travels, and no gift for you niece slash nephew? Shame shame." She didn't actually expect him to have a gift, but she was being a teasing little shit.

Iaemor chuckled at Blair cheeky words and behaviour. He couldn't exactly complain about Maya allowing her child to move in with asking him. Firstly he had made choices without her input in the past, and it wasn't as if he was around to be asked anyway. When Blair came closer, and continued to tease, asking for a gift they both knew he couldn't have, he brought a hand down on her head. "Well you are certainly a mischievous one." he noted, and gently messed her hair up, a lot more gently then one might have expected from an armoured claw.

Pulling his hand away again, he smiled. A simpler smile then his normal smirk. "And before you go begging for gifts, should you not at least tell your uncle your name." He told her, while Maya had the chance to tell Blair about Iaemor. She obviously had not had chance to tell Iaemor about Blair in return. "Perhaps then and after I can change, I can make up for my absence and spoil you." He told her, sounding like one might expect a uncle to do so. All fun but little responsibility for the child, plus he expected that he could tease Maya indirectly by doing so.

He was still curious about how she referred to herself as both his niece and nephew. Mostly because he didn't yet understand the nature of her powers and how they tied into her identity. He couldn't currently see beyond the female presenting appearance but he simple accepted the fact and made a note to try to treat her as such. It wasn't as if he was knew to the concept flexible self-identities, Manta Carlos was a mixing pot of every kind of gender and non-gender that could feasibly exist.

"Hey, hey, no touchy," their tail would attempt to bap the hand away, "gotta keep my hair looking good for the ladies." They'd stick their tongue out at them and started to drift to the side a little as they talked. "I am my mother's child.....just without the guys...and all the women."

"Blair," they'd say with a smirk, "I have a longer name...with two titles mind you...from my father's side, but here I just go by Blair." They were curious about their uncle, already enjoying teasing them.

Then they'd shift to male. "Good, change, then you have many missed birthdays to make up for," he'd say with a smirk, "gotta spoil me with all the things."

Iaemor smirked as Blair knocked his hand away, and explained the she had to look her best, before answering his question about her name and changing form. "Well I see you have your mothers impressive level of shape-shifting at least. Even if you don't share her penchant for men." He chuckled. "It is good you have more a name on your father side thought even if you choose not to use it" He added before turning from Blair and heading into his room. "I will be right back." He told her over his shoulder.

He wouldn't be in his room long, a simple quick change from his current set of clothes into another set which wouldn't exactly look that different. Before he would come back, finding Blair if he had not waited outside the door. "You mentioned missed birthdays, I have never really paid attention to them myself. It is not as if I really even know when it is." Iaemor explained, wondering if Blair's mother had ever explained how old they were. "You drag me somewhere and I am sure I can afford forking out some cash to get you something you want."
