<div align=center>Wind howled through the corridors, and rain hammered down on every available surface, causing a cacophony of sound to echo through the rooms and hallways, but it was the thunder that was the worst thing, and the lightning that tore ragged patters through the sky, illuminating the horizon and lighting the rooms that hadn't yet drawn the drapes with an electric blue colour, Bill squealed, half tripping over his feet in an effort to break into a light run. He hated storms, and this was the worst storm he'd ever seen by far, the way wind had been pounding against the glass of his window made him take fright that it might smash, he'd pulled the drapes in an effort to comfort himself, but it hadn't worked.

The boy had been running for what felt like a lifetime, the corridors were dark and he was getting confused, perhaps this hadn't been such a good idea after all, he'd rather not be lost in the school at night, it was daunting to look at during the day, at night it reminded him of something from an old fashioned horror movie. His feet were cold and he was worn out, he didn't know how late it was, but it was quiet around the school, he'd presumed everyone had taken refuge in their rooms, no point being outside while this was going on. Bill came to a stop outside a door, he caught his breath against the wall for a moment or two, before scrabbling frantically at the door, and whimpering, "Gabe!" His voice was high pitched, desperate, "please let me in!"</div>

Gabe was sat on his couch, his legs stretched out and resting on the coffee table. Although he was in a resting position at the moment he was feeling rather restless. Storms tended to do that to him , they charged up his energy and made the hairs on his arms stand on end.

Gabe didn't much like storms, not because the actual storms scared him, but because of the amount of energy running through him it was even harder to control his powers and this made him very nervous. It wasn't often you found Gabe nervous, storms were one of the few times.

When he heard the banging on the door he leapt out of his skin, causing the power in his dorm to go out.
"Crap!" He winced. "William? Don't do that, you scared me."

<div align=center>William scrabbled even more when he heard the man's voice, tugging frantically at the doorknob to try and get in, he was frightened and cold and he didn't like the storm. "Please let me in I'm scared!" The poor boy had run all across campus to come and find Gabe, he stood outside the door clutching a white blanket, and the old, worn out teddy that normally sat on his bed. He was dressed in his pyjamas, they were light blue and covered in what looked like little white moons and stars, he looked like a twelve year old in his current state, and the frightened look on his face made it even worse.

He knocked again, he was cold and he just wanted to be inside, a clap of thunder went off somewhere behind him, it made him jump, and squeak softly. "Gabe please!" He was taking an awfully long time and Bill was a little worried that he was still upset about what had happened the other day, he hoped not, he'd thought about it a little since then, but he still felt awful. The boy was tense and jumpy, he wanted to hide somewhere, or do something to take his mind off the weather.</div>

Gabe wasn't even sure he wanted to see William right now. The boy still hadn't gotten back to him on his decision, Gsbe assumed he hadn't made one yet or was simply not interested. He felt cruel leaving the boy outside in the hallways though so he supposed he ought to open the door for him.

"Come in," Gabriel said as he pulled the door open. "Though I'm warning you now you probably shouldn't come too close to me." He frowned, "my powers are kinda up in the air at the moment and I really can't control them." He pointed towards the lights which had blown out, "that's what happened when you knocked, merely because I was a little startled."

<div align=center>The boy shook his head, he didn't care about that, he practically threw himself at the older boy, and clung to him, whimpering softly and trembling. "Don't care," he squeaked, staring up at the older man, still clutching his things to his chest. He figured if he was going to be electrocuted he'd rather be zapped by Gabe than anything else, at least he'd know it was an accident if it happened like that, he was more frightened of the storm than anything else at the moment, therefore all other fears were temporarily pushed to the back of his mind and forgotten about.

"Can I sleep in here?" He asked quietly, grabbing a handful of Gabe's shirt in his hand, Bill needed someone to talk to for a little while at least, he just needed to be distracted for a little while, at least until he fell asleep. He resembled a small child in his current state, clinging to Gabe and staring at him with that set of pretty little doe-eyes. Bill trembled again, and tightened his grip very suddenly as a new roll of thunder boomed outside, he yelped, and hid himself against Gabe's chest, "Please?" He asked, a little desperately at that.</div>

On reflex Gabe jumped back when William came close. He hadn't expected the boy to leap at him like that.
"Damn, sorry I just, that was close." Gabe flustered. Had he not leapt back so soon, William would have several burns. "Be careful, I'm not saying that lightly." He frowned.

A while later he was sitting down on the couch beside William, he had offered to make tea then remembered there was no electricity, partially because of him, partially as a result of the storm. So he had just poured them some wine, although he wasn't sure if he should give William wine, he wasn't legal for a good while.
"Um, do you want some wine? But if you take it you can't...tell anybody." Gabe didn't want to be getting in trouble with Williams 'rents or the cops or whoever.

"It's...okay to touch me now." Gabe told William, "I've settled down a little bit." However the winds still howled outside and Gabe was sure it wouldn't be long before he felt all charged up again. "Yeah," he nodded, "you can but...well there's not very much room." He wasn't lying, there was literally just Gabe's bed and the couch.

<div align=center>On the whole Bill didn't really drink. His tongue wasn't accustomed to alcohol and therefore the taste usually made him grimace, he'd always thought there was a strange, bitter sort of tang to it that he didn't like. He would only really continue to drink something that was alcoholic if it tasted like fruit, though he'd generally always take the customary first sip, whether or not he'd drink anymore varied, more often than not he didn't. He frowned a little and shrugged, "I guess so," he murmured, his voice coming out just a little tentative. He didn't think that Gabriel would get arrested for giving him wine, and so the other boy's thoughts made him laugh.

"It's okay," he answered, "I'll sleep here," his brow furrowed a little and he leaned back onto the arm rest, pulling his knees to his chest and nestling himself into his blanket. There was almost enough room for him on the couch, he thought it'd be alright, he often curled up, anyway. Bill stared at Gabe for a moment, and tipped his head to the side, apparently trying to work something out, "what happens?" He asked, looking slightly bemused for a second, "how do you make it work?" He leaned forward a little and blinked, Gabe had told him not to touch him. Bill wondered if it was the same concept as a naked electrical wire.</div>

"I mean I have other...alternatives if you don't want alcohol." Gabe was referring to the orange juice in his fridge but he thought that voicing orange juice as an alternative to wine might embarrass William a little bit. He imagined the boy would tell him not to treat him like a child. "So wine?"

"You sure?" Gabe frowned, "the couch isn't very comfy." He rubbed his eyes, "I mean I'd suggest you share my bed but it's not very big," Then again Michael and William had been in the same bed when he'd called...and that had been a single.

"I don't 'make it work'," Gabe laughed, "I can hardly control them." He sighed, that fact annoyed him greatly. "It's like... I have to have the back of my mind concentrating on them all the time," he glanced at William, "you might have noticed, though perhaps because it's a constant you haven't." He rubbed the bridge of his nose, "I can't explain it very well but if I lose focus even for a few seconds it can 'cause a shock. Say if I get a fright or something."

"But it's usually not awfully disastrous if that happens, as there's usually not enough electricity running through me to 'cause any damage to anything...," Gabe checked William was still paying attention. "so when my emotions get charged up or when there's a lot of electricity in the air, like a storm, it's harder to keep a reigns on them. I've to concentrate more on them."

He wondered if it made any sense to William.

<div align=center>William nodded a little, considering something in his head for a little while. It must be annoying to have to think like that all the time, though he thought he'd rather be able to do what Gabe could do than what he could do. The boy shuffled forward in his seat again, lifted a hand, and pressed his fingers to Gabe's forehead, his eyes snapped shut and his forehead creased. It would only make him relax for a little while though, he wouldn't need to concentrate on controlling the electricity in his body while Bill's empathy was at work, it was one of the useful parts of William's 'gift,' unfortunately he couldn't use it on himself.

"S'at better?" He asked softly, opening an eye, and slowly drawing his hand away. Bill seldom used that, he never really had a reason to, people never really understood what he was doing and it frightened them. Gabe would be alright for a little while at least, William wasn't exactly sure how long but at least it would make the man less wary, Gabe was concerned about hurting him, and Bill thought that was cute. William had noticed, but he'd never thought about saying anything, he hadn't felt like he'd needed to.</div>

Gabe tilted his head, watching William curiously. He was unsure as to what William was about to do.
"What are you...?" Gabe raised an eyebrow but didn't finish his sentence, he had been overcome by a sudden ave of calmness and peacefulness.

"Did you do that?" Gabe said after a couple of minutes of complete silence, complete bliss. He didn't have to think about controlling his powers at all, not even a tiny bit. And for that he was indebted to William. "Thank you." His eyes lit up and he wore a 1000 watt smile. "This is...so lovely." He wondered how long it'd last.
