She decided that she quite liked the idea of being protected from the zombies. People had begun to make a fuss over the predicted zombie apocalypse, and you never knew what was going to happen next. "That's very kind of you." To be completely honest, she had never considered what her course of action would be in an event like that. Probably roll over and wait to die; easy, simple and effective. "I'm always a bit cold. S'why I have so many blankets." Looking a bit bashfully at the piles of blankets that littered her bed, Ania stole a glance at her closet, who held at least 10 other blankets. No matter what she wore or tried, there was always a chill that gripped her.

Another loud sound came out of her TV, and her head swung sharply to stare. She hadn't been paying too much attention up until now, and she squinted at a character that was gearing up for battle. The music began to pick up, and she caught her cue. Around the second measure of the action music, Ania began to shift her position. Her gaze was locked on the screen, apparently extremely interested in what was happening. Slowly, like a sloth switching branches, her legs found themselves on top of Hadrian's. She hadn't realised that she had been holding her breath, and she exhaled slowly. Pleased that stage one was complete, she inched closer and closer, stopping only when she was situated in the centre of his lap. Perfect. No one noticed a thing. And well, if she ended up getting pushed off, she would have to just try harder to be invisible. "Good movie choice. This is interesting." Her head tilted as she analysed a puddle of fake blood that dripped from a blade. Some movies didn't do it right, and it ended up looking every bit like coloured corn syrup. So far, the protagonist was winning the battle by far, leaving a trail of broken zombie people in his path.

<div align=center>It was a good idea to have a lot of blankets, really, it saved on heating bills anyway. That way instead of turning the heating up you could just go to bed, you saved money and got to take a nap, it was a win win situation. Hadrian had never really thought of a zombie apocalypse, he tended to keep situations which he could end up dying in out of his head. The thought of death was incredibly unpleasant for him, he wasn't scared of much, but when he was put in life-threatening situations, he tended to freak out completely. Hadrian did not welcome death one bit. I'm too pretty to die.

"The best weapon to have in this situation would probably be a sword." He pointed out, since a gun would make too much noise and other, smaller weapons wouldn't do the job easily enough. A big, sharp sword could take zombie's heads off with ease, then you wouldn't have to worry about them anymore. Hadrian made a mental note to get a good sword, just in case that ever happened, and maybe learn how to use it as well. He hid a smile as Ania clambered steadily into his lap, her manner was so nonchalant that it was almost funny. He really didn't mind though, and didn't protest.</div>

A sword? Guns could at least wipe out large masses, but she supposed it would also be extremely noisy. "Do you know how to use a sword?" She supposed that sword fighting was a dying art. With the invention of guns, no one saw the need to bother with close range combat. He appeared to not notice her shift, and she took a moment to settle in, tucking herself tight against him. The thought struck her that there wasn't too much separating their natural bodies, and it made her shift uncertainly. She stared hard at the scene on TV, trying to force her mind away from that. The washer would be done soon, and the clothes could be dried. Though, she wasn't sure if she was happy or disappointed to give him back his clothes.

The heat against her back was comforting, and she was soon lulled into a trance. Zoning out for a bit, her mind wandered back to her newest perch. He was warm and comfortable, and she hoped he'd come over more often to do this. A loud hissing noise drew her from her thoughts, and she recognised it as the washer announcing itself. She pressed back against him unhappily, working up the energy to go switch clothes. With a small sigh, she slid off, and found her way to the laundry. Working fast so she didn't miss too much, she switched it over to be dried, and hopped back to bed. After a moment's pause, she opted to settle next to Hadrian instead of on top. He would probably notice if she sat on him again. After a last wistful glance toward his lap, she made herself comfortable once more, pulling a blanket over herself. "Clothes are nearly done!"

<div align=center>Hadrian shook his head, though what could be all that complicated about swish, swish, stab? Especially when it came to zombies, they weren't exactly that intelligent, nor were they really that fast. Hadrian thought he could outrun zombies at least, you could probably break their legs off pretty easily too, at least the way this movie was going suggested you could. Hadrian was pretty shameless about situations like this, nakedness was something that didn't really bother him. He didn't understand why people thought it to be so obscene, since everyone was naked at least one point during their day, right? Though he supposed some people didn't want to see other people naked.

He almost whimpered when she climbed off him again, shifting a little and leaning against the wall instead. He'd liked having her there, she was cuddly, if that was the way to put it. He was happy to hear his clothes were nearly ready, though, that meant he could get dressed and they could go out. It was a nice day, the sun was shining and the sky was clear, unfortunately that probably didn't mean it wasn't going to be cold though. It was only January, it wouldn't warm up for another few months. "Ah, thank you for washing them."</div>

Wiggling a bit in her excitement, she couldn't wait for his clothes to be finished. They could leave and go see the animals soon, and if that wasn't exciting she didn't know what was. Huddling deeper into her blanket, she watched with wide-eyed horror as the zombie movie raged on. The man battling the masses appeared to be cutting them down left and right, bathing in the copious amounts of blood. Well. Good thing she didn't plan on eating right after this. A thin whine trailed out as bits of the zombie flesh hit the camera for affect. Wrinkling her nose in plain disgust, Ania decided that now was probably the best time to look away.

Looking back at Hadrian, a plan quickly formed, and she shifted a bit, throwing her leg across his lap once more and planting her face in his shoulder. She could still hear the ripping flesh and the steady spurting of body fluids, but it wasn't so bad now that she couldn't actually see anything. Shivering a little, she wondered if he would mind if she just stayed like this for the duration of the movie. Hopefully the rest would be gross enough to have a decent excuse. "Is... Is the gross part over...?"

<div align=center>Even Hadrian twitched just a little at that scene, at least the protagonist was winning, right? He hadn't kept track of who died and who hadn't, he thought perhaps someone might die soon, he had a feeling about it. He placed a hand on the back of Ania's head, petting her absently and staring blankly at the TV screen. "I'll tell you when it's over." He promised, though he wasn't sure how long that would be. There was several minutes more of zombie slashing and guts flying everywhere, a scream went out from one of the female characters and the screen showed her being dragged to the ground and being devoured by hungry zombies. Ew.

"I think it's finished, now." He told her, when the scene had changed and showed the aftermath of the fight for a moment. He wondered if this movie was that good of a choice, though it did give him a good excuse to pull Ania close to 'protect' her every time something horrible happened, he wondered briefly if he'd unconsciously planned that or not. Hadrian didn't think his clothes could take all that much longer, the sooner they were done the sooner they could go out to the zoo. He was excited about that. He hadn't been on a proper date for a long time.</div>

From all the screaming and splattering that was going on, she concluded that this movie earned every right to be called rated R. She decided that she didn't mind so much, though, as long as it meant she could stay cuddled up like this. The noise had begun to quiet down onscreen, and Hadrian confirmed that it was over. However, she didn't really want to detach herself. "Um. Okay. If you sayyy it's over ... Then, I suppose ..." She couldn't really think of a reason to stall, but kept trying despite herself. "But I mean ... It would be safer to just stay like this. Just in case." She didn't often latch herself onto people, but when she did, it was awful hard to want to detach.

Hearing the steady thunk of clothes finishing their drying cycle, Ania perked up considerably. "Heyyy, I think your clothes are done." Pushing herself up to sit properly on Hadrian once more, Ania threw her arms around his neck and hugged him tight for a moment. "Going to the zoo!" Hopping down, she bounced into the bathroom, choosing to ignore the rest of the scary movie. Gathering up the bundle of hot clothes, she returned to Hadrian and tossed the clothes and herself on the bed, taking a moment to roll in the heat. "They're so warm. "

<div align=center>Hadrian tittered, and pressed a small, soft kiss to her forehead. "You're so funny." He patted her on the top of the head as she stood up, before struggling up off the bed and trailing a short way after her, pausing as she turned around to bring them back. Hadrian smiled, "if they're still warm by the time I put them on then you can cuddle me?" He offered quietly, pouting just a little and rubbing the back of his neck. Even if they weren't still warm by the time he'd put them on, he probably really wouldn't have minded if she were to cuddle him anyway. He wondered if you could put clothes that weren't wet into the dryer, that way he thought she could put a blanket into the dryer when she was cold. The thought of Ania hidden in a nest of blankets made him smile a little.

He picked the clothes up off the bed, and told her he wouldn't be very long. Hadrian returned from the bathroom not long later, fully dressed and more or less immaculate looking, aside from that little bit of stubble that had cropped up on his face over the last few days. He found his wallet on the side table, picked it up and slid it into his back pocket. "You wanna go to the zoo?"</div>

Ania thought she quite liked the sound of cuddling a warm person in warm clothes. Though, she would probably end up doing it even if his clothes weren't warm anymore. Glancing down at herself, she realised that she wasn't really appropriately dressed for a zoo. What was appropriate clothing for a zoo, anyway? A dress would be easiest to throw on, though it might get cold. But then, what were leggings for? Snatching a dress and leggings from a pile of unfolded clothes, she hovered for a moment before hopping to a partially concealed corner and tossing off her clothes. Quickly pulling her new garment over her head and tugging her stockings up, she reasoned with herself that he had no doubt seen a female body before. She didn't have much to hide, either way.

Shaking herself out, she arranged everything to lay properly and slid a sweater on for extra measure. "Zoooo! I'm ready to go to the zoo. Do you think they'll have tigers, too? Like yours? I want to go see yours one day." Taking a final glance around her dorm, she was satisfied that things would be alright until she came back. Shuffling a bit closer to Hadrian, she took his hand a bit timidly, not knowing how dates really worked. People held hands when they went out, right? Seemed like the most natural thing to do, anyway. "I'm ready if you are!"

<div align=center>Hadrian supposed they would have tigers, maybe they would have those big white ones. He had always liked those ones, and frequently wished that Altair was white, it'd make him look a lot cooler he'd decided, though he supposed having a tiger for a pet was a little unusual, he wouldn't call it cool, but maybe he took it for granted. He would have liked for Ania to come and meet his pet, she'd like him, he'd decided, since he was less like a wild animal and more like a huge kitten that would sooner try to curl up on your lap than kill you.

"Maybe," he answered with a nod, "lions, too." He had a thing for the big animals with teeth and claws, most would have perhaps wondered why, but a lion was as beautiful as it was dangerous, perhaps it was that fact that Hadrian liked. "You can come see him if you like," Hadrian didn't know when, nor did he particularly mind when either. He wasn't very busy very often, and could usually make time for things he cared about. "He's really friendly." He squeezed her hand softly, and shuffled a few inches closer to the door, "I'm ready to go."</div>
