It was Erione's first winter holiday season on Earth, since he had left to go home before last holiday season. Aside from poking out to help keep his outdoor shrine clear of snow, which was pretty tiring work for him for sure, he had been mostly staying indoors this month. Not so much because of the cold itself though- slipping and falling on ice would have been really bad for him.

Regardless though he had decided to sign up for Secret Santa and today was the day to meet up with who he'd been paired up with, according to his slip of paper. He had been thrilled when he saw they had listed hand-crafted items as an option for gifts. That fit his particular skills very well. It had only taken a few hours of research into Celtic lore to find something to spark his creativity.

Erione was right on time, owing mostly to his ability to slide in directly from his dorm room window to one of the huge windows in the lounge. His glass shards poured out of the rippling pane of glass and gathered into his humanoid form, with a large object covered in wrapping paper. This roughly 2 foot diameter, circular object was floating along with him as he looked around.

The room was somewhat busy, with the students all relaxing and enjoying the break from classes or making plans for the holidays.

Bel had arrived early and taken a seat on one of the couches in the student's lounge. She was waiting and watching patiently for the young man who she was supposed to exchange gifts with. She hadn't quite known at first what to get him, but after discussing a few ideas with Agnes, her roommate, Bel felt satisfied, or at least hopeful that her gifts would be appreciated.

Hearing some students break out in laughter, Bel turned to look their way. Listening to them for a moment, Bel realised they were joking around, discussing some sporting match and its outcome.

Turning back to gaze around the room, she then noticed a pink haired individual walking with a large parcel, that was floating next to him. Smiling, Bel got to her feet and waved to catch his attention.

"Erione?" Bel called out with over the din, "Over here," she beckoned.

Erione almost didn't notice Bel with all the activity going on until she stood up and started waving. "Hm? Oh, Hiya!" he called out as he made his way over towards her with a happy grin on his face. "Erione, nice to meet you," he added once he was close enough.

There was amoment where it seemed like maybe he should've offered his hand to shake but he just... didn't. He appeared to be in a great mood though and fixed one of the random pins on his shirt instead. They were all kinds of colors and shapes and seemed somewhat haphazard, but cute in their own way. Just like the rest of his appearance actually.

"So... should we sit down and just exchange gifts? I've never done Earth holidays like this before but i'm used to giving gifts to all kinds of people. I do have to give a warning though before you actually take mine with you and decide to keep it or not but... I hope you like it," his words spilled out smoothly but at relatively rapid pace. Clearly he was not just happy. He was nearly bouncing with excitement and glee.

Aside from being able to give what he hoped was a really cool gift to her, he was under the effects of all the joy from people appreciating glass. Which, given the sheer number of lights being put up, glass ornaments and even the windows keeping people safe from the cold as they looked out into the wintry wonderland that had the island under its spell, was ramped up considerably.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Bel," she said with a warm and engaging smile as soon as Erione had introduced himself. Taking in his appearance then, Bel had to grin. There was something about him that was actually very festive in nature. Maybe it was the hair, the pins on his shirt, his bubbly attitude or personality - or quite simply a combination of everything.

"We can stay here if you like," Bel, who was just wearing a simple berry red tunic with black tights and black flats, gestured to the couch which was quite empty except for her gift which was in a festive gift bag with tissue.

"And what do you mean by a warning?" Bel asked him curiously as she sat herself down on the couch and peered at Erione and then at his gift. "It's not going to explode, is it?" she asked jokingly.

"Hiya Bel," Eri returned the smile and glanced at the couch she pointed to. Or, well she didn't need to point it out since she had been sitting on it, but yeah he looked over to see there was plenty of space. How could he argue with that?

Of note, while Erione had clearly seen the gift bag his attention was focused on Bel and not the gift itself. Both being polite and also just genuinely interested in talking to her. "Sure, that couch looks nice and comfy," he grinned and went ahead to sit down next to where she had been sitting. Giving room around that gift though of course.

"Oh god, I hope not. But if it does well... you could call me and I can probably fix it," he replied somewhat facetiously. In reality it was glass so it could potentially shatter horribly if the right temperature changes happened or something else broke it and he really could fix it in person. But he knew she was joking and he was mostly just playing along.

"No, but seriously. I'm a god of glass and this gift is... well I made it for you out of my glass. Which means I will always know if it is appreciated and where it is when that happens. It makes some people uncomfortable," he explained as the wrapped disk shape floated over in front of Bel. A closer inspection revealed his wrapping job wasn't the nicest but he had tried. "So I always warn people. If it bothers you I can get you something else that I didn't make."

Bel crossed her legs and regarded Erione with real curiosity. It seemed the island was full of gods and god-like beings. It felt nice, and odd in a way, to not be the only god around like she had been before coming to Manta Carlos.

"That is very interesting indeed, I am fine with it being connected to you," she said with an honest smile, "In fact, now, I can't wait to see your gift, and I honestly hope you like mine," she said truthfully. Not sure he'd like the medium-sized carved wooden box she had engraved and inlayed with Celtic symbols, among the symbols was the Celtic cross, the other four main gods like Samhain, Imbolc, and her very own, which looked like an arrow or tree-like symbol.

"Great!" he grinned and carefully floated the wrapped gift over in front of her. Within easy reaching distance but not in her face or anything. "I'm glad it doesn't bother you, since my best gifts are always the ones I make for people. I think you'll really like it," he beamed as he thought about the gift he'd made. It was a large, 2' diameter, completely glass medallion of the Celtic Tree of Life symbol. The intertwined trunk, roots and branches were all formed of a translucent brown glass while the leaves were all done in green glass. At the top was a a series of strings he had carefully tied so the whole thing could be hung on a wall or, even better, a window.

"I'm positive i'll like whatever it is you got for me. How about we open the gifts on the count of three?" he smiled warmly as she gestured to the two gifts. Erione was often the happiest person in the room and it sort of showed. Saying he would like whatever she had gotten wasn't stretching the truth at all. Aside form something that would actually hurt him, he was always thrilled to receive anything people gave him. No matter what it was, some level of effort had gone into deciding to give it to him and offering it. It was sort of similar to how he treated offering at his shrine, but of course different because it was a personal gift and not part of his "job" as a god.

"Sure, we can do that," she said as she passed him the colorful gift bag that contained the foot long box carved and made from Ash trees near her sanctuary in Wales. It was etched, carved and inlaid with Celtic symbols. And inside the box, she had placed a nice tartan red and black sweater, in hopefully, his correct size.

After passing him the slightly heavy gift bag, Bel reached out hesitantly to touch his present, waiing until he was ready to open hers before she did anything, "When you're ready, on the count of three then?" she stated as she watched him.

"Okay, one, two..." she started as she looked for a piece of wrapping that was loose and where she could start tearing.

Erione reached over to take the bag and it slumped a bit as he hadn't expected the solid weight of the gift. Not to the point where he couldn't' carry it or anything that extreme but it was clearly something significant inside there. For his part he let her take hold of the gift he'd made, only just keeping it afloat for her so she cold unwrap it easier.

"Ok," he grinned and then counted along with her. "... three!" he chirped and reached into the bag to uncover the treasure inside. He carefully lifted out the box and ran his hands across the engravings, feeling the wood as much as seeing it. Erione was a sucker for handmade items even if they weren't made of glass.

"Whoa, this is beautiful Bel. Did you do all this carving yourself? I love it," he exclaimed ecstatically as he examined the gift. The box wasn't even open yet- he was already visibly thrilled with just the box itself. His heels bounced a little bit in anticipation as he gently opened the box to find the sweater inside.

Pulling it out he admired the softness of the material and the colors of it. He had determined right then and there he would put it on, regardless of how it didn't at all match the rest of his clothes. He wasn't one to care that much about it. "Thank you so much for these. You must have put a lot of work and thought into it."

Before putting the sweater on though he paused to look over at Bels' face as she unwrapped his gift. His eyes wide and almost sparkling with hope that she would appreciate the gift.

Bel watched out of the corner of her eye and with great interest as Erione opened her gift, slowly pulling off the wrapping on her own gift. Catching a glint from her gift she realised it was made from glass, curious she started to tear the paper a little faster.

Stopping when Erione asked if she had carved it, Bel shook her head. "I wish," she confessed, "they take weeks, even months, to make," she explained as she looked at the box. "One of my followers makes them. A dear old man, almost like a father to me in a way," she explained with a smile thinking fonding of Lewis. He had been one of the druids that came to take her and her brother away when their god powers started appearing.

Seeing Erione slip on the sweater made Bel giggle. He looked adorable actually wearing the sweater like that, and she was really happy he appeared to like with her choices. "I'm glad you like the gifts," she said with a grin as she pulled off a large chunk of paper to reveal the object underneath.

"Oh my, ooh my...You dinna.. It's Crann Bethadh, " Bel exclaimed in awe, recognizing right away the tree of life, and slipping into a Welsh-accented English in her excitement. "Oh the goddess above, it's so beautiful," Bel exclaimed, admiring it openly, already having hung it up mentally in her bedroom.

"You said you made this?" she asked him in surprised awe.
