He really didn't seem tired at all, and normally he'd be still sleepy, but... "Couldn't get my mind off of how to deal with the whole Veil situation, and had to prepare myself and Shinme to make sure that only my Uncle should find out about it. That's why we are so prepared and I'm this confident.", he sure did seem like he did his research. And it wouldn't be long until they took a portal that would place them close to a train station.

"Well it is best that you prepared as much as you can. You are more mature than I give you credit for sometimes N- rhmm... Kabano." spoke Izumi, quick to correct herself to refer to Neon by his alias. Sure they were not quite in Japan but it was best to start getting into the habit now.

"So the portal is just up ahead right? Ah this will be exacting... its been ages since I last saw Japan... and it will be Rin's first time seeing that beautiful country herself and not just on the internet. Shinme's first time too. Are the both you excited?"

Rin, just gave her mom single nod and non-nonchalant "Yeah". Though she may not have shown it, Izumi knew her little Rin was excited for this trip, even if the purpose was not for a causal holiday getaway. Hearing her daughter's answer, she turns her head looks to Symlink, ready to hear what his answer is.

"Me gaining back my memories and a responsibility", Kabano rested a hand on Shinme's shoulder, "has made me realize how important my decisions and actions were, are, and will be.". His son was clearly his pride and joy, and his actions before this day have shown too: risking his own well being to cure his son, staying always close to make sure nothing happens to him...

Izumi didn't need to ask much, it was possible to imagine if Shinme weren't disguised that his tail would be leaving afterimages. "Can't wait to see Japan outside the TV!", Shinme's tone was full of energy. And once they were all ready, it was time to take the portal and wind up somewhere in Tokyo. Shinme's eyes were all around, looking at the colors and people, and Kabano let out a content sigh: "It's good to be home... After so long..."

Izumi smiled to her oddball family collection as they departed through the portal and thrust into Japan. It was... different from what Izumi last remembered decades ago. Unrecognizable actually.

"Huh... yeah... back home... " she mummered, still taking in all of the sights.

She was so distracted that she didn't see notice a hurried business man on his phone approaching her until they bumped shoulders with one another. Flustered, Izumi was quick bow their head and apologize in Japanese. The man whom bumped into her almost at the same time bowed his head and apologized as well before hurried off to whatever important business he had to get to.

"Ah... you know where to go from here right Kabano? I feel like I could get lost in this place." questioned Izumi as she directs her focus on him now that she had her moment to adjust.

"Oh, yes, you haven't been to Tokyo in a long time.", pulling up a map phone app, he checked the best routes to their destination, "Ah, Izumi-san. I anticipated that too, but right now I'm reassuring our routes. Keio line from Shinjuku Station is a good route if we want to save money on car ride, plus we avoid traffic too."

Through the corner of his eyes Kabano checked on an excited Shinme, glad his boy was playing along with their disguise. "So, off to Shinjuku Station we go.", Kabano answered with a flick of wrist to gesture towards the station.

"Well whatever you think will work. I don't mind a bit a sightseeing." mentioned Izumi, turning their head to Rin as she started to wander off on her own. Izumi sighed and called her daughter over to her before she got herself lost.

"Well I see one of is eager already. Rin honey, stick with us. I know you want to explore but we can't be losing you now."

Rin spun on her heel and complied, trotting her way back to everyone.

"I wasn't going to go too far now." asserted Rin as she crossed her arms

"I know but... I want everyone to be safe. Now Kabano, would you be a dear and lead the way?"

Kabano gave a small smirk at the two's exchange. He knew how they felt, wanting to explore, eager to see everything and taste sweets. "Ah, Rin-Chan, don't be so upset. Ol' man must have some sweets for sure, and it's as Izumi-san says, we'll take a scenic route.", and Kabano looked over at Shinme, who has just returned to his side.

"Alright, off to the station we go.", and it wouldn't be long until they would reach Shinjuku Station from where they came from, luck had been kind to them. However there it was quite crowded, it would be hard to move at the platform to wait for their train. And sure enough, the wait would not be long, and they would soon board the train and be comfortable in their seats, as it wasn't so crowded thankfully.

"It's a 24 minutes ride, and from there we have to walk another 15 minutes. But I suppose I'll get us a taxi once we leave at Fuchu Station so we can short it to five or seven minutes depending on our good luck.", turning to look at Shinme, Kabano noticed the boy had his eyes glued at the glass, checking the landscape.

With Kabano leading the way, Izumi followed along and made sure her airhead daughter didn't wander off too far. Fortunately it did not take them long to make it to Shinjuku Station. It was however pretty crowded but it was something she had come to expect traveling in Japan.

Izumi was just checking the time and the train arrived right on time. As they pushed themselves through the opening doors, the crowds within the train were not nearly as bad as at the station and were able to find some seats.

"24 minutes? Well I guess we should get comfortable then." remarked Izumi whom looked over at the children.

She smiled as Shinme watched out the window. Rin soon joined Shinme, excited pointing out landmarks that she recognized from TV or online articles for him. Izumi joined in on the window watching, leaning on an arm and watching as the landscape passed them by.

Kabano watched as soon Rin and Izumi joined his son. With a content sigh, he too observed the landscape from his seat, remembering of his own past. When he was Tsubasa Yakou, gluing his face to the window while his father told him to sit down but his mother would simply tell it was fine, the window is closed after all.

Before he knew it, he was daydreaming about how he used to be taking a train to visit his uncle, reality and dream merging in his eyes and all perception of time abandoning him. At least until Shinme tugged on his arm, asking: "Dad, are you ok?"

"Uh? Don't worry. I was reminiscing something... This is such a nostalgic feeling...", Kabano ruffled his son's hair and pulled their foreheads together, "You remind me so much of myself... This energetic and anxious to see everything you only saw on TV until now..."

Izumi and Rin both busy watching father and son when the train began to lurch to a slow stop after arriving at. The intercom announced that they arrived at their destination and looking out the window she could see a sign confirming that they were at Fuchu Station. Surprising how 24 minutes just flew by so fast.

"Oh, we are here already? Well come and get up everyone. Let's get going before the doors close." stated Izumi, raising from her seat and hurries on out with everyone out the door. Now that they were at Fuchu station they was simple quick trip by taxi or 15 minute walk to Kabano's uncle's place.

"Okay so we are all here now... did you want to look for a taxi? I don't mind a short walk."
