Oh no. She wasn't exactly familiar with her own species, having generally avoided them for the past few centuries, and as such had little clue to as how to answer him.

"Well, uh." She started, stopping to take a breath. "For Blood and Emotion, I'm not sure. I'm a Blood Vampire if you hadn't realised., so that's something." Stopping to tap her chin, she mentally checked if there was anything she had forgotten.

"Next up, would be the hibernation. Vampires, well, people in general, I think, generally sleep longer and harder if they are content and with a full belly." She patted her own stomach. "So after something like a big meal, I don't think it would be uncommon to go into a food coma of sorts."

Speaking of which, she covered her mouth to stifle a yawn. "Oh, excuse me. I'm afraid it slipped my mind. What was that last one again?" Speech

Jude had the look on his face of a man who was making notes. He wasn't--he didn't need to, having a perfect memory and all--but it was clear he was focused on Mallory, paying attention to every word she said as he processed it.

"My last question was about age and how it related to strength. I heard that the older a vampire is, the stronger they are, but I wasn't sure how truthful it was. It seems like a bit of an oversimplification at best, but... there also might be a nugget of truth to it."

"Oh, yes. That's what it was. She nodded, remembering. "I'm not sure about how age influences power, but I think it is based upon how long a vampire can survive, like you had to be really powerful to survive for so long and not be killed by a mob and the like."

She realised something and laughed. "If Age really does affect strength, I must be really strong. I'm two thousand years old!"

Two thousand? The surprise showed on Jude's face, his eyebrows shooting up in response. Two thousand?

Okay, now he had like three dozen questions.

"Where were you born? If you were two thousand years old, the country you were born in probably doesn't even exist anymore, not in the form it did when you were first born..."

Well, He reacted just as she thought. Needless to say, she would given far more question than she could answer in any given moment.

"Well, yeah, it definitely doesn't look the same now." She went back to her village a few years back for her teacher's vacation a while back, needless to say, the area had changed a lot, and she actually got lost. Needless to say, she wasn't going back to Cardiff for a while.

"I was born in England, just when it was really just tiny tribes. Not much history was compiled on my group. We were Franks. So, yeah I could be considered an Original German, or maybe an Old English Gal." She said, putting up a Texan drawl for the last few words.

She pondered it for a moment. "I have more stake to the country than the Queen!" Mallory exclaimed, reacting in fake shock.

Franks? Which technically meant, if you were going to be picky about it, that she was considered a barbarian if you were going by the (fairly racist and very judgmental) standards of the time. "History is pretty poor about the Franks. THere's a lot we don't know - or at least there was a lot we didn't know back in my world. I imagine it's pretty much the same. When you get that far back there's only small amounts of archaeological evidence, and almost no written sources. And what you do have is probably biased."

Probably was no doubt an understatement.

"I wouldn't know," Jude said, cracking a smile at the more stake than the queen. "All I really know about the Franks is... they used javelins? I think? That was before I had a perfect memory, I haven't looked at them since then."

History was harsh on its losers. She alone had probably forgotten more about her childhood than most people will ever know. "I would assume it would be biased. Its hard to have an unfiltered opinion on something if you were actually part of it." Akin to spectator of a War, Mallory had her personal opinions on the time, and even with historical evidence. it would be hard to shift it.

"So you haven't always been that way?" She asked, cocking her head to the side. "The Weaponry wasn't that much different than that of the other groups of the time. We, well, the fighters, were known to use this type of axe called a Francisca. Basically, it was a Throwing axe. I can remember back then, some of the men argued a lot about who had the best aim and whatnot. More often than not, it resulted in some sort of competition and maybe a brawl?"

Jude listened as she explained about the Francisca, nodding along. He hadn't known that, and that was part of the joy of history on the island: A lot of the history teachers had personal experience, and could answer questions that even textbooks couldn't.

"No," Jude said, confirming her suspicion. "I was just born a normal human, no powers or anything. In my world lots of people had powers, but it was still more common to have nothing. I found an artifact, the artifact bonded with me, and..." Jude paused, grimacing slightly as he worked out how to delicately word things. "And circumstances arose that required it to fuse with me in order to save my life. So now they're stuck with me, so to speak, and have started affecting my physiology."

That seemed to be something they had in common. Both Jude and herself lived a normal life until something happened to upset it.

This was something she had to ask. "Do you miss being just a regular human?" She may have made peace with being a child forever, but in the early days, it was a hard time for her. If he needed support, she would be happy to give it to him.

"No," Jude admitted without a moment's hesitation. "Not really. It probably sounds kind of strange, but I feel more... uh, myself like this. Before I was a totally normal human running around surrounded by totally not normal people, and I felt out of place. I basically grabbed at the chance without even considering the consequences, but I don't really regret it."

Least of all because it had saved his life.

"I'm guessing you kind of do?"

It was hard not to guess that someone who would look like a child forever might not be happy with it.
