"I suppose fireballing me would be more satisfying then trying to fight with me." People were constantly telling him how laid-back he was, and although he hated it, he knew there was some truth to the matter. It was extremely hard to get him mad at someone...
And it can get pretty scary."
"Scary for you, or scary for me?" He asked, grinning once again. The balcony lanterns flickered on, bathing the stone terrace in soft light. It wasn't against the rules to be on it at night - as long as you locked the door when you left - and the illumination of the balcony was a nightly occurence; Alexavier didn't get his hopes up.

"About... Three and a half months; I'm not exactly sure." He shrugged - it was hard for him to keep time, inside the school. A pause, and then "Would you think I was prying if I asked your name?" he said, voice soft and ever-so-polite.

"I suppose fireballing me would be more satisfying then trying to fight with me." "Yeah, probably!" Dani said jokingly, of course. And of course she didn't know he was laid back.

"Scary for you, or scary for me?" "Scary for you." She replied, this time completely serious.

Would you think I was prying if I asked your name?" "No, but I might throw fire at you." Her face was serious, but she was teasing. "I'm Dani.

"Scary for you."

"...Crap. Although..." He rubbed one of his hands with the other's fingers, seeming to pull a thin flame from his palm. It blossomed into a raging fire, and he held it up to eye level to inspect it. "See? Although mine's fake..." He shook his hand once, the fire dissappearing instantly. "Maybe if we pretend to be on fire someone will notice us."

"No, but I might throw fire at you."

He held his hands up in mock fear, shaking his head. "I don't want to know that bad..." She told him anyway, and he politely touched the brim of a hat that wasn't actually there. "Alexavier. Or A, I guess. Nice to meet you - which is quite a compliment, considering the circumstances." He glanced into the ballroom, but the flow of dancers had ceased as if by magic.

See? Although mine's fake..." "Wow....that's awesome." Dani said in awe.

"Maybe if we pretend to be on fire someone will notice us." "Maybe..." She replied offhandedly, though she doubted it would work.

Or A, I guess. "Not Alex?" She asked with a smile.
