Addy loved being the center of attention, mostly because she had known growing up that she needed it to survive. She never really had to want for attention, that being said it got tiring sometimes. Always bouncing from one thing to another, always being random and weird, too much attention and she got high off the feeling. She figured that's why being alone affected her so much, because her system wasn't used to it. Slowly but surely she had started to slip off on her own, explore the places she liked and tried to find out what she thought was interesting and what she didn't. She had tried for the first five months she was there to find some place she could relax, she had been unsuccessful to say the least. It was around the sixth month that she found a small little restaurant that only had a tree logo on it. She found out it only appeared at certain times, it wasn't a well known restaurant but it served her favorite things.
The best time to be at the shop was when it was raining, just like those movies she loved watching. She was sitting in the corner with an oversized sweater and some leggings reading her book. She had brushed back her hair and was solely focused on her book, her teeth tugging at her bottom lip as she read. There weren't many places besides her room that she could get lost in a book, she hadn't even realized her food was put in front of her or that someone had joined her in her little corner. The best thing about the restaurant was that she was completely lost to the world, no one really noticed her besides the fact that she was a regular and left an incredibly tip.

She was usually here. She should still be here. The green haired youth peered through the window to try and find her. There was definately someone there, at the back corner, but was it the girl he was looking for?

Hanoko slipped through the door into the little restaurant, shaking water out of his hair so it'd stop dripping, but it was still a little soggy. Good thing leaves didn't absorb rainwater. His clothes were made of the same material, so after patting himself down with a few napkins he was plenty dry enough to take a seat without damaging their chairs.

There she was. Adeline Rosales. She was beautiful, even in an overlarge sweater and leggings. Particularly in overlarge sweaters and leggings. All the little things that made Addy, Addy, were all of the things that made Hanoko so crazy for her. As a current example, how she was chewing on her bottom lip as she focused so intently on the book she was reading. It made his heart melt.

Hanoko approached Addy, tapping on the table to get her attention.

"May I join you?"

Addy looked up from her book and smiled softly. "Oh Hi Hanako, Yes you can join me" She replied as she picked up a french fry and set her book down. She had intended to read for her time there, but she didn't mind just talking to one person. It was probably best that she didn't completely isolate herself. After picking up so many activities she was feeling sort of down and not really social with the people that mattered. She shifted in her seat, taking time to look Hanako over. There was something about him that seemed familiar, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

"So Hanako tell me about yourself, Why am I only just know seeing you around?" If she was being honest, she really didn't notice a lot of people. SHe did make it her business to at least make a mental note of people's faces.

Hanoko gave her a charming smile and slid into the seat across from her. She looked tired. Perhaps he should have let her be.

"I've lived here my entire life, but until recently I was just a tree in the forest. Someone convinced me to come out and join the rest of the world. I guess, I'm fond of this place but I have no idea how anything works. For all intents and purposes I am still a tree - i can't digest anything but sugars, minerals and water. Eh, did that answer your question?"

Hanoko hoped he was coming across as casual enough to make her feel comfortable. He didn't want to stress her out more than she already was.

Addy nodded, she didn't know if she could relate to that. She was always center of attention, even with a million siblings she found a way to matter just a bit. "Well, its good you left the forest. There's so much out in the world you should see" she offered him a kind smile. Pulling her legs into her sweater and up to her chest, she stared at him.

"Yes, although I'm curious as to what you're hoping to find. I mean the first step is coming out into the world...now all that's left is to find your place in it. I'm actually..stuck on that part myself." She admitted taking a sip of her beverage.

Hanoko smiled. What he hoped to find? Well that was an easy answer. He sipped on a water the waitress had placed infront of him before answering.

"I've already found what I was looking for. And hopefully, my place will be with them. Of course, there's no absolute guarantee I'll be allowed to stay."

Hanoko placed a gentle, reassuring hand between Addy's ears, nothing but kindness in his eyes.

"You'll find your place. Perhaps you've already found it. It's hard to tell exactly, I know."

Addy smiled warmly, it was a simple enough answer. Not that she minded simple answers. In face it was something she had grown to crave when talking to people. Something about the green haired boy seemed familiar and Addy latched onto that. In fact she was sort of intrigued by that.

"Im sure you'l be able to stay with that person, whoever they are. I don't think people turn away that kind of dedication normally. As for me, i'm okay with finding out little by little. I think I'm most worried about....making sure my place in the world matches with the kind of person i want to be. Sometimes...it doesnt...sometimes it does.

Hanoko smiled brightly at Addy, a dazzling, charming smile. Her warmth was returned in double, a comfortable, warm, protective aura radiating from him. He wanted to keep this girl safe and sheltered, to keep her happiness preserved from the harsh waves of the world that had been lashing out at her. Hanoko reached out to take Addy’s hand.

“Being who you want to be is all you can do. If people don’t want to accept that, then you’re better suited elsewhere. When someone shuts a door on you, they’re shutting one of their own doors. Don’t bother waiting for that door to open agian when you’re perfectly capable of abandoning the doors entirely and taking the skylight.”

Hanoko paused, thoughtfully considering his words.

“Metaphors are strange. I’m not sure I like them”
