Help! :S

Yuki walked along the sidewalk,leisurely. It was Christmas day and several people were scurrying around, buying last minute gifts. She didn't have anyone to buy gifts for. Well, friends, anyways. She bought presents and mailed them to her family already. And she received one gift back in return- a snowglobe from her younger brother. Her parents probably were to busy or they didn't care much. She didn't mind. Or so she tells herself.

The girl headed towards the coffee shop, and walked in. The smell of coffee greeted her warmly as she walked to the counter, ordering her drink. She ordered a frappucino, despite the cold. Well, the cold didn't affect her at all- she really liked it, actually. She then paid and moved aside to wait for her order. She saw a burly man appearing out of no where from the side, but didn't have time to react- the man bumped into her, hard. She lost balance and fell as the man's hot drink spilled on to her. She gasped in surprise and suppressed a yelp. She stood up hurriedly as the burly man with bloodshot eyes yelled, "Watch it you little twat! Are you blind?! Why the hell didn't you move aside? You made me spill my drink! Get me another one!"

Yuki's eyes widened as she took a step away from the man. "Uh.. umm.. I'm sorry.. I-I didn't.. I didn't see you. I-I'm sorry," she managed to stutter out. The whole coffee shop was watching by now. Her cheeks turned crimson with embarrassment. Yuki took another step back, not necessarily because she was afraid of him, but more because she was afraid her power would suddenly blast out and harm her surroundings.

Vi must have been pretty popular amongst the island's citizens since the man pursed his lips and took a step back, away from Yuki. "Whatever," he muttered, shooting a look at Yuki before hurriedly exiting the shop.

Once the man exited the shop, Yuki exhaled a breath of relief, he brows still furrowed in worry. She didn't realize how tense she had been. People began to turn away, going back to what they were doing prior to the incident. Yuki then realized that she hadn't said anything to the young woman that, well, rescued her from the brute.

"Um, thank you," Yuki told the other girl, "for making him go away." She gave the black-haired girl a rather timid, appreciative smile.

Yuki glanced down. Half of her previously white dress had turned brown. She was fine, though. "Yes, I'm alright," she told the officer. She then glanced at the young woman's table, coffee cup still on it. "I'm sorry I had to disturb your break," she said. She assumed the officer was on a break, since she wasn't currently doing rounds around town.

She then glanced at the display of cakes and sandwiches next to the counter, behind Vi. "Would you like anything, from there?" she gestured towards the display. "As a thank you." The officer did something nice for her, despite it being her job, so Yuki felt like it would be great if she could do something nice in return.

Yuki's eyebrows raised at the young woman's suggestion. She had planned to go back to the academy right away after finishing her conversation with this girl, but the academy was pretty far from here. She would hate having to walk all across town drenched like that, drawing attention. But she didn't want to cause trouble and burden the person who saved her any further...

"Would it really be okay?" she said to the girl uncertainly. "I really don't want to be any more of a bother."

Yuki smiled at the way the young woman admitted she was a cop. "Alright, let's go," she said, starting to walk towards the door. "You're really considerate. I thank you for that."

After a moment of silence, she asked, "What's your name? Mine's Yuki. Yuki Winterlock. And sorry if I'm being to nosy, but why do you hide your identity as a cop?" She looked at the other girl curiously.

"I'm Vi. Vi Crew," she said, holding her hand out for Yuki to shake.
"Vi's a really pretty name," Yuki told Vi earnestly, shaking her hand. Then she nodded as Vi explained how she was off duty.

She pointed at the walkway to cross the street. "We're almost there, my apartment is right across this street," she said.
"Okay," Yuki replied, walking towards towards the walkway. They crossed the street and reached an apartment building. "Here?"
