Astiral was trying to find her way around the school following a map a fellow siren student had written up for her and gave her dirrections. She understood the siren written language better than written English. She had followed a long hallway leading from the cafeteria to the main school building and down 2 flights of stairs, down two long corridors to a room with a red door. That trek took about 10 minutes and had her almost going in circles. She thought the directions were odd but, hell, at least she could read these. The sign said Basement/Furnace room. But of course she couldn't read it very well. Well at least she made it to class she thought. She put her hand on the metal door knob and opened and walked down a set of stairs. There were some mechanical machines down here and it was very dank and mildewy, One of the machines hummed and she saw a bunch of what she recognized as tools. But no other students. She thought other kids would have been here by now.

While looking around she saw another door and turned to it thinking the classroom must be beyond this door. As soon as Astrials hands touched the knob she heard a melodic laughter of another siren, then feet running upstairs and the light flicking out and a door above her slamming shut. The door knob her hand was on turned to be locked and no way out. She could not see anything in the darkness and could not see any windows. Oh No! What was she going to do. She did not only hate enclosed spaces but was terrified of them as it being one of her phobias. She started to panic and stared to sweat like she was warm. She was feeling her way along the walls towards the stairs hoping to find her way back up to the hallway. Just as she found the stairs almost tipping on them the furnace belched and let off a quick flame. That was her second fear. Fire. She backed up tripping over the first step and screamed a siren scream that can not be ignored by anyone. She started to cry and panic and desperately tried to climb the stairs to get to the door at the top, which ended up being also locked to her. She pounded and banged on the door while sobbing and screaming for help. Her stomach turned and she felt weak and like she was going to vomit. It was very hot it there and hard to breath. She started to hyperventilate. If school was this hell she wanted back home, right now, right this instant.

Orion Pendragon was a knight, a prince and in general a good person, so when he heard someone crying for help, he had to investigate. So he followed the voice the best he could, it wasn't hard, whoever was yelling had quite the voice. He reached up and touched the hilt of his sword Rathier, while it was a weapon it's healing abilities may be needed.

He rounded a corner and went down some stairs. He kept his eyes sharp for trouble, hopefully the person in trouble wasnt being attacked, but if they were, Orion would deal with it.

He eventually came to door, the yelling was coming from the other side. He brushed his brown/gray hair out of his eyes and placed his hand on the door. He spoke calmly, "hello....my name is Orion. I'm here to help." He took to door knob, undid the lock and opened the door.

She had been on her knees pounding at the door and sobbing when a voice finally said to her "hello....my name is Orion. I'm here to help". It was a miricle, someone had herd her plea for help and had come to her rescue. She scurryed back away from the door bumping into the wall behind her and scraping her hand on the floor.

As the door opened and very bright light began to pour in through the doorway she could see a guy standing there but as her eyes adjusted to the brightness he started to come into focus. This very tall guy with gorgeous dark brown eyes and brown hair, carring a sword and wearing a long white trench coat was looking down at her with the look of much concern in his eyes. She burst out into hiccuping sobs of relief while she's sitting there with her back against the basement wall. She tried standing up using her good hand but was off balance and started to tip towards the stairs. She reached for this guy grabbing his very long coat in trying to keep her balance.

He dropped Rathier to the ground and quickly stepped forward, his arms reaching out catching the girl. "Easy now," he said calmly, gently holding the girl. "It's ok now...your safe," he gently pulled her close placing her head against his chest. Hed always loved helping people, and he'd always been good with people.

He stook there a moment letting her vent her emotions, just calmly holding her, "No need to be afraid, I'm right here." And need be, he'd stay there forever to comfort her.
He pulled a tissue from his pocket and gently wiped her tears, "hey...no more tears. Too pretty of a face for tears."

Astiral boo hoo's for 10 minutes dabbing her eyes with the tissue this guy handed to her. Her hiccuping sobs started to calm down to where she was now just sniffling. She was being held and comforted by a total stranger. And this Orion guy had rescued her. Ignoring the tissue she was using for her tears she rubs her runny nose from crying on his long jacket.

This felt nice. She had never been held by anyone other then her parents before. He was warm and smelled very good. She feels like she could just tell him anything. She wanted to tell him what happened but didn't know where to start. Maybe, if I'm lucky, he'll be a friend to me. I really could use a friend. she had only met Alpha the one time so far in the cafeteria and her new room mate for this school year hasn't arrived yet. She was lonely and needed someone to help her understand all these new things. After all these thoughts spinning in her head, she realized he still had not let her go.

"There you go," he said calmly, let it all out, if she didnt get it out it would keep bothering her. He gave her a kind smile, "I'm Orion Pendragon, and I have to say, a pretty girl like you shouldn't be crying like this."

He eased them to a sitting position keeping his arm around her, "no need to talk if you dont want to....but I'm here if you need me." He meant every word. They didn't know each other, but he strongly believed in helping people.

She handed him the map, that had been given to her, in the siren language, by another siren girl. "I don't read English very well so this one girl offered to help me find my first class." She points to the spot they are at with her finger and says to him "see, it say English in the Siren language. And we are at this spot, are we not? Did I not read the map correctly? I don't know what went wrong?" She was now very confused and had no idea how this classroom mishap had happened. She shakes her head saying "I just don't get it," while lost in thought. She looks up at the door that clearly states Basement/Furnace room (which she cannot read the English). "Why would someone label this room as the English room when it isn't?"

He listenedto her and immediately became angry at whoever had done this, "I'm afraid that doesn't say English, it says basement." He hugged her knowing shed likely become upset at the revelation that her so called friend had pulled a cruel prank.

"Some people do these mean things bease they think it's fun," he looked down at her, giving a kind smile, "real friends don't do that, real friends help each other." He'd now lived in two dimensions and people's cruelty still baffled him. "I'm pretty new myself," he'd only been here a few weeks, "but I can help you, be your friend."

Baffled by the thought of someone doing something mean to her made no sense to Astrial. She hadn't hurt anyone. Why would anyone want to be mean? She just couldn't grasp this concept, just like she couldn't grasp the personal space concept that someone had tried to explain to her. She was coming across ideas and concepts she never heard of before. She thought people liked doing nice things for others, not being mean to each other. But she understood the meaning of being friends. "Yes I would like to be friends. You are kind and nice to look at too."

Then she noticed he was carrying a very large long knife that looked real sharp. "What is the knife for, " She asked him, curious as why one would carry something like that around with them? "You don't need to hunt here. There is a free food place down stairs. Also," Astrial said changing the topic back to her bad incident, "I was told to tell a teacher or Mentor if something bad happened, and, well, something bad did happen. Can you help me figure out what to do now, please?"

He smiled and even blushed when she said he was nice to look at, "my full name is Orion Pendragon and I'm already proud to call you my friend." He gently lifted her to her feet, "people can be mean, you have to find those who won't be...I promise to never hurt you."

He chuckled when she asked about his sword, he picked it up and showed it to her, "this is my sword Rathier, I keep it to remember my home. It can heal people to...thats the part I like the most."

He gave her a kind smile and nodded, "yes I'll help you." He kept his arm around her to show he meant every word, "come on, let's find where your supposed to be."
