It had been a while since someone hugged Salal, so when Yvarn suddenly did so she was confused for a moment and froze. But just a moment later a soft smile rose to Salal's face and she loosely returned the hug, feeling thankful for the kind gesture. This was actually the first time someone besides Tyler had hugged Salal, and for it to be someone so close to Salal's own size felt...comforting. Salal let her chin lightly rest of Yvarn's shoulder as she remembered how much she actually liked hugging, and she let Yvarn's consoling words reassure her. Salal realized she liked hugging even more when it didn't feel like she was the only doing the hugging because the one she was hugging was so small.

"Thank you Yvarn, you not need to do this, you good friend."
Salal said, and gave Yvarn's back few gentle pats before pulling away. She liked hugging but doing it for too long was embarrassing, even for Salal.
"I want buy you new shirt, as fun as this one. Will you let me? I want to repay you, you give me such fun and nice bandage."
Salal asked before she tried to get up, chuckling. Turns out getting up was very hard, because Salal's legs had no strength. She frowned slightly and tried again, but Salal's legs just shook and she slumped back down. Salal gave Yvarn a small embarrassed smile and a chuckle.
"My legs not listen to me. We wait here? Until my legs listen."

Once they let go of their hug, he patted Salal's shoulder, saying "And good friends always looks after one another, right?", with a brief chuckle following his words. Yvarn still didn't wish for her to repay the favor that way. Instead... "There's another way you can repay me, but only after we go to the hospital. I was thinking of having a fruit salad, you see... But we could make it together.", he suggested.

Once he saw her try to stand to no avail, he checked her legs for wounds, pressing gently. "Tell me if you feel anything.", he wanted to make sure it was nothing so severe that could cripple her.

"Fruit salad? That sound very good, have never heard of it. I would love to make it."
Salal said at Yvarn's suggestion with a much more excited expression now. Mentioning food had a high possibility of cheering Salal up. But she also hadn't let go of the shirt, perhaps Salal could buy it in secret, as a present. Salal had never given anyone a present before, but she knew you gave them to people on the day they were born or as a token of gratitude or appreciation. Salal certainly felt both towards Yvarn.

Yvarn's concern was touching, but Salal didn't think her legs were actually damaged. She had lost a lot of blood from her head wound and had just gone through a shock, and she expressed as such. Salal patted Yvarn's hand a little in an attempt to ease his worries.
"There is no pain, there is just no power. Body was startled, is not caught up yet. With time should be okay."
Salal explained and tried to give a reassuring smile, even flexing one of her indeed muscular arms. This wasn't the first time Salal had experienced a panic attack, based on experience it could take a while for her to reel back from it.
"No need for worry, my body strong. Mind more fragile, but it strong too. I will be good. But your worry is touching, thank you."

He let out a long sigh of relief. Seems Salal is just experiencing some shock then, so it should be fine... "Yeah, I forgot how a shock pretty much stuns us. But never hurts to be sure it's just a shock. At least now we can breathe relieved for a while. By the way... What were you doing up there?", he looked up to where she had been before the fall.

"I breathe relieved for while now, it is good but strange. I start to breathe not well but then it stop, that never happen before..."
Salal only now began to wonder why she had so quickly been able to recover from her hyperventilation, it usually took a while before she could even her breathing but this time it had happened in no time at all.
"Maybe you here help me calm down."
Salal suggested out loud and gave Yvarn a thankful smile.

"What I do up there? Well, there was bird, it was in shock, like I was. I help it get back to nest, see there?"
Salal pointed up towards the tree, to a branch that was next to the stump of the branch she had sat on. The nest was clear to see, and so was the bird, who was now happily perched on the edge of the nest, chirping.
"That is great, bird feeling better! I hope same happen to me soon."
Salal laughed happily, for the fun of it making a series of short, sharp whistles that sounded identical to the bird's own singing. And the bird answered, which made Salal laugh softly.

"That is correct, I helped you control your breathing. It's one of the things I can do.", Yvarn confessed without hesitation, before observing the nest Salal pointed to. He sure felt like she had a lot of courage, perhaps with added confidence for being not human. And as the bird chirped back at her, he snickered a bit. "Then, the worst has passed.", he asserted himself.

"It was you? You help me even more then, that is wonderful skill! I must give you lot of tea as thanks, I start growing mint last week, I make very good blends from it."
Salal chatted, with an expression that was a mix of joy and awe. Nevermind the fun shirt, Salal owed Yvarn half of her cabin now that she knew what he had done for her.

"I see if legs work now, I not want let bird beat me."
Salal chuckled, and then tried to stand again. She put her hand on Yvarn's shoulder for support, and was able to lift herself to her feet. Salal was able to take some steps, but had to still lean on Yvarn for support. And she got dizzy spells on every step.
"Can you help me walk? I do not think I am able to do on my own yet."
Salal asked, tilting her head slightly in question. Salal was quite sure that Yvarn would help, but it was just polite to ask.
"I forget ask. What you do here? Other than watch me fall from tree."
Salal asked, and chuckled. She was ready to leave this incident behind her and laugh about it.

"I should plant some mint within my room then.", Yvarn helped her up and provided her support for walking as well, and sure was as Salal concluded, just that she had been quite shaken by the accident and the fear of blood that had overwhelmed her. At least she wouldn't be seeing red with the improvised bandage he had put in place. "Oh, the usual, you know... Logging plants, observing animals... My people will be overjoyed with my findings!", he held no secret from her.

"I help you grow it well, tell you how to have best mint possible."
Salal promised with a cheerful smile, all the while trying not too lean too heavily on Yvarn. She knew she was quite heavy.

"Nature provide much wisdom. I hope your people like it as much as you."
Salal smiled gently down at Yvarn, it always made her happy to see how excited and eager the young man was to learn about nature. Salal felt a special connection to nature, perhaps because she had once been more strongly a part of it than she was now.
Salal stumbled, and had to grab a better hold of Yvarn's shoulder temporarily. This caused Salal's claws to press against Yvarn's shirt, or what was left of it, and she quickly eased her grip and looked at Yvarn with concern and almost...fear.
"You alright?! I did not hurt you?!"

He gave a smirk in response, her weight may be a little too much for him but Yvarn wasn't willing to let Salal put too much effort right now. "That's true, nature does quite a lot of wonders...", for a brief moment he was lost in thoughts, and her suddenly tightening her grip on him and easing soon after made him come back to reality. "Oh, don't worry, it stings a little but I'm not so soft-scaled."
