As she watched the conversation, she desperately wished that she could hear. She didn't know what was happening, and decided what she was going to do about it.

She tracked back a bit, and then came from the direction of the school again. She broke into the clearing, and froze in feigned surprise. Her large eyes didn't hold the surprise her body and face showed. "Oh sorry. I was just going for a walk to eh..clear my head." she cursed at herself mentally. Why hadn't she just let things lie.

She knew why. It wasn't in her nature. She looked at Donovan. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." she desperately wanted to scream that she trusted him, and that trust showed through her eyes, but she didn't voice it.

Donovan ripped away from Lilliana and wiped his lips on his shirt sleeve. He wanted to yell at her, tell her she meant nothing to him but then he heard Nikki. He whipped around to face her
Nikki! Nikki, I am so sorry, it meant nothing! I swear, she kissed me! he said and moved closer to her to try and explain things to her, to make her understand she was the ONLY one he cared about.

She smiled softly. Her heart hurt a bit, but she just dipped her head. "It's okay Donovan. I trust you." She brushed some hair behind her ear. Her eyes focused past him at Lilliana, and her eyes changed ever so slightly.

There was also an almost imperceptable change in her transperancy as her frustration caused her to go into phase mode. "I'll see you later, okay?" she closed her eyes and smiled at him (anime style, whoot.) and then started to move backwards back towards the school.

Donovan started to say something to Nikki but then stopped, knowing it wasn't going to do anything.
He turned his head back to Lilliana and glared at her, his eyes telling her he would never forgive her.
He quickly turned back to Nikki and started running after her.
Donovan! Wait! I did have something to say. They want you back Donovan! The Organization wants you back! she called after him. He slowed his pace for a moment and then shook his head.
I don't care! All I care about is her! he said and continued running.
Lilliana sneered and turned around stalking off towards the woods, there was nothing she could say to him now, she would get him later.
But inside, the true Lilliana's heart broke.

Donovan caught up with Nikki and tried grabbing her arm, but it went right through. He stumbled and landed on the ground in front of her on his arm. There was a small crack and he bit his lip, trying to suppress the pain in his arm.
Those dang machines were going to get to work now...

The shock of having somebody go right through her was only momentary when she heard the crack. She immediately pulled out of phase mode and dropped to her knees beside him. "Donovan, are you okay? I'm sorry." she reached out and gently brushed his hair from his eyes.

"I really didn't mind." she told him softly, trailing her fingers down from his forehead to his cheek. "And I really do trust you." she added, shifting slightly.

Donovan tried to smile when she touched his face but he just grimaced and grabbed his arm, the machines were kicking in and the pain was 10 times the pain of the actual fracture. He let out a low moan and rolled over, facing away from her so that she wouldn't see the pained expression on his face.
He never wanted her to see him like that; looking so week.

Nikki was silent. She flickered between tangibility, but she didn't say anything. She wanted to reach out and touch him, take away his pain, but the way he'd turned away from her meant he didn't want it. So all she could do was just sit there and wait.

She kicked herself for following him, and then for making her presence home. It was killing her that it was her fault that he was in pain. She felt so useless. She reached out and tentatively touched his shoulder. "I'm sorry I caused you pain." she said quietly, in almost a whisper. Her lower lip trembled slightly before she got ahold of herself.
