Name: Professor Gustav Schreiber
Age: 250
Birthday: August 3
Gender: Male
Species: Goo: Black Slime
Category: Staff
Class: High School/college
Subject/Work: Biology/Supernatural biology

Appearance Description: The most obvious and noticeable thing about Gustav is the fact that he is a slime. “Standing” upright he is roughly six feet even. While he does “drip” tiny bits of himself, he doesn't actually leave any sort of trail or mess behind him due to his body's need to bring itself back together. During lectures he typically grows a single skeletal arm so that he can more easily point to things on the board. He also maintains a more humanoid state during such times. Gustav also wears a mask which serves to give people something to look at while he's speaking. It's a simple white mask with a blank expression, contrary to his rather expressive personality.

Personality Description: Gustav is generally a jovial and outgoing person. The kind of person you see at many neighborhood and town functions. He's the type of neighbor who greets newcomers with a plate of cookies and has a really pristine vegetable garden. Gustav is a firm believer in family and community which was one of his main driving forces in becoming an educator. He is known for pushing his students to excel but is willing to go out of his way to help those who may be struggling with his subjects. He also prefers hands on exercises rather than solely lecturing all day.

Once he gets to researching something new he's known for becoming super engrossed in the subject matter for days at a time. He was human once, his body's current state is a testament to a past error in judgment. He's come to terms with the current state his body is in and also goes out of his way to warn of the dangers of reckless experimentation.

Species Abilities: Being a slime, Gustav functions immensely differently from standard creatures. He's more similar to creatures like jellyfish only a sentient cluster of cells. The only centralized organ he has is his core, which is actually contained in his mask. It's what retains his mind and keeps him from being a simplistic predatory slime. In the event that that is broken he would become a mindless matter. He can naturally change his consistency from a thick sludge to soft clay in an instant. He can stick to walls as well as slip through cracks as long as his mask can also fit through. His mask acts like a magnet for any pieces of him that may break off during the day, thus leaving his body in a near constant flux.

Functional immortality: Having lived for two and a half centuries it can be assumed Gustav has a degree of functional immortality. So long as he eats and isn't killed, he probably won't die of aging

Regeneration: Striking and stabbing Gustav is simply ineffective given his body. He simply reforms painlessly when struck physically with things without magical properties that would say otherwise. If he is broken apart his body gets drawn back to whatever section contains his mask. If parts of him are outright destroyed he can regain his original mass ranging from half a day to an entire week depending on its severity.

Weaknesses: While striking and stabbing him doesn't work, he has plenty of other things to look out for. Extreme heat through sources such as fire and electricity can easily destroy his cells. Extreme cold can also render him too brittle to move and fall apart. His mask is the primary point to hit him in as it effectively functions as a control unit for the rest of his body. Again, if that's broken he effectively dies. Inversely if you destroy his body without his mask it renders him helpless unless someone takes it upon themselves to make him a new body.

Powers:
Minor shapeshifting: While he's unable to take on a human form, he can replicate specific organs more conventional beings would have. Typically these involve growing additional organs to grant him minor feelings of being more human such as eyes. Gustav can also grow exoskeletal limbs to grant him a finer degree of dexterity. He can also shape himself into objects, though these shapes are best compared with molding something out of clay.

Biography: Gustav Schreiber was the son of a doctor in a small village. He was born human, and lived a fairly ordinary life. He eventually took over his father's practice. In doing this he inherited his father's research, something he'd known about since his childhood, but never actually received any explanation on to this point. As it turns out, his father was convinced he was creating an elixir of immortality.
Gustav's own years of research into the subject yielded what he believed to be the final product. Upon testing it on himself he went through an agonizing process of becoming the creature he is today. He spent the first couple decades looking to reverse the process to no avail, and fell into a depression, resigning himself to his fate.
As time went on in his wandering he heard talk of an island for beings such as himself. He promptly made preparations and headed to Manta Carlos. Upon his arrival he took several college courses and became a professor at the school where he still works today.

Additional Information: He did have a family before his accident. What became of them after he left them is unknown.
