Tomo took her first step in and then straight out of the portal, feeling the vaguely familiar feeling of warping across a great distance. She'd never get used to it, for sure. A shiver went through Tomo's body and she shook her head and shoulders, much like an animal would.
A lot of Tomo's stuff had already been transported back here so now Tomo only had her backpack, filled to the brim, and of course she had her violin case. Tomo would only let it be transported separately over her dead body.

Tomo had mixed feelings as she walked further into the portal station and towards the main lobby. This was all just so weird, being back here. Tomo hadn't exactly pushed down her memories of the island when away but she hadn't reminded herself about them either. The memories contained lots of good and lots of bad and although Tomo had only been away for about 8 months it felt like a lifetime. That was how much she had changed.
Tomo hadn't told her siblings abouy her different look, or about her new abilities. Tomo had stayed in contact but it had usually been the "hey what's up I'm good and you" kind of vague stuff that Tomo shared about herself. She hadn't mentioned that she actually had piercings and wore even a bit of makeup now. Even Tomo was still getting used to it...

"Shit, this is weird."
Tomo muttered to herself and fidgeted with her hearing aids, as she approached the place where her siblings were supposed to be waing for her. She wasn't supposed to be nervous, it was just Tada and Shiro. Tada and Shiro who'd see Tomo for the first time in over half a year, wearing flannel and ripped jeans instead of a t-shirt and yoga pants. Tomo wondered if they had changed at all. Tomo had heard lots from Shiro, about Tadashi and his personal drama and of course gossip. Lord, Tomo had missed Shiro's voice, just blabbing on about whatever and Tomo never really cared since she was just happy to hear her sister sound happy. And Tomo had missed Tada's calm energy and watching him draw and his occasional teasing remarks.
Tomo was nervous, but she was also excited. She couldn't wait to see her siblings again.

She stood next to Tadashi, rocking back on her heels as she waited for their sister to arrive. Sitting between the two was large back with something inside it. "So that sushi place we like it open all night, so we can take Tomo to it," she'd say with a smile, excitement in her eyes.

"I can't wait for her to get here little bro," she'd say, leaning on him a little and giggling. "Our little trio is gonna be back together," she'd missed Tomo, a lot. ""Its gonna be great little bro."

Her nose would twitch as she picked up a familiar scent, looking towards the source and grinning as their sister appeared.

Tadashi stood next to his sister, apparently being used as a bit of a leaning support as he fidgeted with the cuffs of his gloves. He... really didn't look all that different than he had before. Aside from the light pink shirt he was wearing, which he probably didn't realize anyway, he hadn't changed nearly as much as either of the others had.

"Sushi," he couldn't help but smile. Fish equals a smiling catboy or catgirl. It was simple math. "Are you sure we got the time right?" He was excited and nervous. He'd been in contact with Tomo, but... only to a certain extent. It seemed like she had been really trying to do her own thing and he hadn't wanted to burden her with all his stuff.

Next to the pair was a fully 3d armored knight drawing holding a paper sign with "TOMO" written on it and three cartoonish sketches of cat people drawn beneath it in pencil.

It really didn't take long for Tomo to spot her two favourite people in the world. First she caught their scent, familiar and really nostalgic. Then she turned a corner and there they were. Shiro and Tada, sitting on a bench with one of Tada's living drawings on the side, holding a sign with Tomo's name on it. A grin automatically split Tomo's face at the sight and she huffed in amusement and, well, happiness. She was just damn happy to see these two losers.
All Tomo's uncertainty melted away and she kept walking. Though her steps didn't remain at walking speed and soon Tomo was jogging and then running towards her siblings. And she was a damn fast runner.

As soon as Tomo got to her siblings she would pull both of them into a tight hug, not really giving a fuck if she was being sappy or cringy or whatever. Tomo even felt like crying a bit, but that was where she drew the line. If no one was dead or near death then there was no need for tears.
"Fuck, I missed ya two dorks a lot."
Tomo said with a short laugh and her tone was nothing but honest and joyful. One thing Tomo had gotten better at during these 8 months was being honest to herself and her feelings.

Shiro would wrap her arms around both her siblings, giggling a bit and actually fighting back some happy tears. "We missed you too Tomo," she'd been hesitant when they'd first reunited, not anymore. "Welcome home sis."

The cat girl would hold the hug as long as the other two were willing. "Things just haven't been quite as fun with you gone sis," it was nice to have their little trio back together after such a long time without her.

She'd grin, quickly wiping away a few happy tears and hoping Tomo didn't see them. "We wanted to welcome you back proper?" she'd continue grinning.

Tadashi's knight drawing immediately collapsed into dust as he put his two arms around his sisters and squeezed. Pressing his face into Tomo's shoulder to hide the couple tears in his eyes. "We missed you a lot. Don't be mean and call us dorks," he laughed softly. Not truly offended.,

He was definitely refusing to be the first to let go though. They'd have to fight him for that.

"We... probably look like crazy people," he started to laugh a little. Their appearances alone were so very different despite their familial features. Screw it, he was just glad they were together again.

"Oh shush, lil' bro, you know I love you."
Tomo said, snickering and giving Tadashi an extra squeeze. She knew that her siblings weren't actually offended.
Shiro and Tada were obviously as happy to see Tomo as she was to see them and it warmed her heart. The three of them stayed in their hug for a while, 'cos Tomo was reluctant to end it as well. She took in her siblings' warmth and scents, savouring and cherishing it.
"Crazy people are the best people, bro. Why do you think I missed you so much?"
Tomo teased and nuzzled both her siblings one more time.

But all good things must come to an end and Tomo was finally the one to break the group hug.
"Okay, okay, that's enough. I missed ya but that doesn't mean I wanna merge with you. I like being my own person, thanks."
Tomo said with a laugh and stepped back, still with a wide grin on her face. She took in her siblings' appearances and reached out to give both their hair some ruffles. Before she would've teased them about crying, but now Tomo knew better. Besides, she had almost cried too and didn't want to be a hypocrite.

Tomo, with a wide smirk, declared as an answer to Shiro.
"The life of the party is back, bitches! Now what kinda welcome are we talking about here?"

She'd grin. "Wellllllllllllll....we were thinking we'll take you to this awesome sushi place that recently opened," she'd chuckle. "Has amazing sushi, and there's this cute waitress there....but I promised Tadashi I wouldn't flirt with her this time," she'd say jokingly, sticking her tongue out at Tadashi.

"Plus me and Tadashi have this," she'd push the package into Tomo's hands. "We think you'll like it," they'd wanted to make sure she felt welcomed, this was her home afterall and they were his family.

The goth girl would flash an excited grin at Tadashi. She was excited to see their sister open her gift.

Tadashi smiled happily despite the hair ruffling and reached up to pat his own hair back down after they released the hug. And then he immediately had to rub his face and bonk his forehead against Tono once more.

"Shirooo, no... You have to save me Tomoo. She's a monster. I'm not even sure she likes the fish that much there," he teased in his mock horror. It definitely wasn't the first time Shiro and Tadashi had gone there.

But of course he straightened up and gave her some space when the gift was given to Tomo. He did want to see the look on her face when she opened it.

download20200406145058 mini.pngTadashi's dramatics made Tomo snicker and she rolled her eyes at Shiro.
"Good to see nothing has changed. Still as thirsty as ever."
Tomo teased and gave Tadashi's shoulder a (hopefully) reassuring pat.
"But bro, I gotta admit I love sushi more than I wanna spare you from watching Shiro flirt. So bear it for me, 'kay? For the fish."
Tomo answered Tadashi's feigned horror with her own expression of feigned seriousness and humility. Though Tomo really was ready to watch Shiro flirt if she got free sushi out of it, and she could always just embarrass Shiro so thoroughly that the waiter wouldn't even look at her sis anymore and Shiro would be too humiliated to return to the place. But that was Tomo's last resort.

Suddenly Tomo's arms were full of bag and she almost dropped her violin case. Tomo would've normally been irritated but right now she was too high on happiness to actually get mad at her siblings. For today they basically had a free pass for whatever shenanigans they came up with. But Tomo would never tell them that.
"What the hell? Why didn't ya tell me we had to get presents? I didn't get you guys anything!"
Which was obviously a lie, but Tomo wanted to save her gifts for bit later.
"But thanks. One of you hold this."
Tomo held out her violin case, and when one of her siblings would take it Tomo would open the bag, wondering what on earth her siblings had gotten her that warranted a bag this big.
