Eein liked that he was growing stronger, that his dragon form was getting bigger. It helped a bit given that his pride was quite damaged by recent events, among other things. One issue with his growing strength though was re-learning control. At first he thought he was fine, a few broken things later he was here.

"So..uh...school said my human form can lift around two tons now, dragon form can lift three." Indeed he'd gained some more defined muscles from the development, along with a few inches of height to his human form. "Got my phone fixed, dont think me breaking things will do though," he'd say with a small chuckle, a rarity from him lately.

The young and elder dragon stood in their backyard, a few workout and training tools arranged behind them. "What do you want us to do first?"

It was a relief that things had been stabilizing recently, and Huilu's stress had been lessening with Irso in her life. It also helped that Huilu wasn't short on money with her art selling more and more. But naturally she still worried, and with Eein having this recent growth spurt of his Huilu had tried to be there for him. Which had lead the two of them to their backyard, there to develop Eein's power control. He had gained a lot of strength, after all.

"Breaking things is something that every young dragon does during their growth years."
Huilu answered with a chuckle. For this occasion she was wearing jeans and a white t-shirt, clothing that was easy to move in. And her hair was on a ponytail, out of the way.
"And the most important thing is to be vigilant and adjust on time, exactly what you are doing."
Huilu smiled encouragingly, maintaining your abilities was important, which was why Huilu also trained regularly. Although because of her anemic disposition Huilu never really gained excessive muscle mass.

"If you want to learn control then I suggest we start with something that requires you to use finger dexterity and minimal amount of strength. For example..."
Huilu considered for a moment, and then got an idea. She reached out her hand and formed a frisbee-like shape from ice.
"Let us try and toss this around for few rounds, and try not to break it. And with every 10 succesful catches I make the ice slightly thinner."

"My teachers will probably appreciate me not accidentally breaking my pencils," he'd snort, "luckily I haven't broke my laptop." Breaking any expensive electronics would be annoying, so he wanted to avoid that.

Eein would watch her form the frisbee, raising an eyebrow, a little skeptical at this training idea. "Sure, if you think that'll help," he hadn't had a growth spurt like this in a while, never had one that increased his strength so much.

The younger dragon would follow his elder's lead, letting her throw the ice frisbee. He'd catch it and it'd immediately crack as his hands squeezed it to hard. "Well.....that didn't take long..," he'd glance at the frisbee and back to her before trying to throw it back but the cracks made it only make it part way before falling to the ground.

"This is an exercise used with many other young dragons in the community, trust me, it will work."
Huilu assured Eein. She had never had a strength controlling problem, her development in that area had been slow and gradual, but she had done this exercise with her younger relatives and community children.

Huilu's ice was almost as tough as metal, so when despite it's hardness it cracked in Eein's grip she couldn't help but be slightly surprised. He really did lack control. Just in case Huilu made the next frisbee she formed slightly thicker.
"Patience. It is all about relaxing your hand and arm, letting the disc slide into your grip. Don't catch it, receive it."
Huilu gave Eein some advice, and then threw the disk gently again.

he'd nod, letting the disc slide into his hand as it was thrown, this time he didn't damage it. "I think this is the biggest growth spurt I've had...," he'd toss the disc back, doing his best not to throw it to hard. "My dragon form is getting a lot bigger, looking into size altering to make shifting easier."

In truth he had doubts about how playing frisbee would help him control his new strength, but he trusted Huilu.

"You ever go through big growth spurts?" he remembered his dad talking about his, same with his mom, but he didn't really know about other dragons.

Huilu gace an approving nod when Eein didn't break the disk this time, and caught the disk in turn when he threw it back. Huilu's catch was effortless, she might've been on the weaker side for a dragon but she was confident she could catch Eein's throws.
"They are common in your age. Size can be a great hindrance at times, Shul and Fweiu and many other larger members of the community struggle finding appropriate shifting spots."
Huilu answered, creating some chitchat as they did this simple exercise.

Before throwing the disk again Huilu thought about the question Eein presented, and at the same time made the disk slightly thinner for difficulty.
"In size I never underwent any significant growth spurts, it was gradual and ended when I was almost 30 years old. But when it came to my abilities, they often got strange increases and decreases in strength. Each dragon experiences their growth differently, and unstable abilities were my burden to bear."
Huilu explained, and after she was done she got a sly expression in her eye. Huilu took a firmer grip on the frisbee.
"Let us try and make this slightly harder. Catch this, and do not break the disk."
She said, and following her words she threw the frisbee almost as hard as she could and half a meter or so above Eein head. Huilu was guessing doing something not so active was boring Eein, so she was attempting to spice it up, so to say.

The younger dragon would listen as she explained how her powers had changed and grown in time. "Wonder if my freezing fire will change next," becoming stronger was one of his goals in life, it was so he wanted, "getting more powered elements would be cool."

He'd raise an eyebrow as a sly look appeared on Huilu's face. Indeed he was the active type, he'd always enjoyed running about, being physical active when many his age stayed inside. Eein would smile a bit at the increased challenge, jumping up and catching the ice disc, he barely managed to keep from breaking it.

He'd return the disc with a throw, doing his best not to throw it as hard he can, he didn't want to break the disc or potentially hurt Huilu.

Eein seemed to appreciate the challenge, which had been the plan. He caught the disc without breaking it, that was good as well, and returned it with a slightly stronger throw than earlier. Huilu thought it wouldn't hurt to try and be more active once in a while, so she hopped up and caught the disc with a smooth movement, doing a little spin in the air. She was smiling and exhaled, observing the disk for a bit. It had some cracks, but wasn't broken.
"Now let us see how well you will fare with even thinner disk. And if you can do not hesitate to throw the disk with more force, unlike the disk I will not break."
Huilu said with a challenge in her voice, and made the disk just a bit thinner again. It was about the same thickness as a plate now. Huilu threw the disk, this time with full force and significantly higher, giving Eein even more challenge. He would see that even though Huilu didn't show it often she had power too.

The young dragon would jump, his hands reaching up at the ice disc. It'd slide into his hand without damage, landing he'd glance at it, making sure it wasn't damaged.

"Hopefully my strength keeps getting boosts like this." He liked getting stronger, liked being able to fight better.

Looking back to his elder he'd flash a smile and throw it, putting a bit more force in it than before. He was enjoying this, it was a fun game as well as an exercise in control. "So, uh, how's things going with you and your boyfriend?" everyone had been rather surprised when she announced she was dating someone, him included.

This time Huilu had to jump to catch the disk, and she showed off just a bit by doing a backflip when she did and she landed smoothly. The impact of the disk hitting Huilu's hand, now with more force, felt nice and distinct and she smiled over at Eein. And naturally the disk wasn't broken, Huilu could play this game with a disk that was paper thin and not break it. Her touch was light as feather.

Huilu looked at Eein with slight surprise when he asked about Irso, and how their relationship was going. It felt slightly strange to hear Eein call Irso Huilu's boyfriend, as she didn't refer to him with that term. Huilu personally preferred partner, as that was what they were. Both romantically and intellectually.
"It is going quite well, I dare say. I am very lucky to have him in my life."
Huilu said and smiled happily, and while she said that she made the disk just a bit thinner again. The disk was starting to be so thin that even Fweiu or other adult dragons would have trouble catching it without at least cracking it.

With that Huilu threw the disk again, setting her hands on her hips, still smiling.
"I do believe Irso could have ideas for your training as well. He has lived a very long life and must have insight on what you are going through."
And it might be a good way for the two to bond. Huilu loved Irso very much, and to have him get along with the family she loved very much was ideal. Huilu didn't want her family just tolerate Irso, but genuinely like him as well.
