The morning had started out slowish, like many Fridays, with one or two phone calls at most to break the monotony of the morning. However, that particular morning, when the clock struck ten o'clock, all of a sudden it seemed like hell had broken loose as phones started ringing and the storefront of Immortal Brews and Spirits became a cacophony of people talking or clerks shouting out orders to the boys in the warehouse to bring out a case or two of some ale or spirit.

The unexpected chaos - or success, depending on who was where and doing what, lasted a good couple of hours, and only slowed down completely around three in the afternoon. It seemed like the good weather and the chatter and rumors around their products (and people) had piqued people's curiosity enough to check out the brewery and buy a few bottles ... or a case or two to try.

In fact, Mathos Sandoval, the owner had come back from the bank just as the chaos had started, and was both pleasantly surprised and smug at the same time that his little enterprise had suddenly become popular.

"If you need help, tell Amos to call in the weekend crew... I will be in my office if anyone needs me," Mathos called out as he took the stairs two by two up to his office to help field phone calls and orders.

Blue hair flipped as Levina worked on a few things at her desk. It was a slow day. Typical morning at the brewery. It wasn't long before things started to pick up. To the point Levina left her desk with a tablet in her hand. The tablet was connected to almost everything in the brewery so she could monitor it. Temperatures. Stock. Employees on and off shift. Even the amount of potential costumers coming and going hourly. Stopping momentarily, Levina tossed her blue hair in a quick ponytail and resumed.
Never being one to stand by or stand still, the personal assistant constantly moved around making sure things ran smoothly even as business seemed to explode from no where. A hand danced over the tablet tracking available stock and what was being bought or consumed the most. Looking up quickly to an employee, Levina scowled as he brought in a pallet that had been manually loaded with Eternal, one of their brews.
"No no no. How many cases did I say to bring up? Because I only count 20 on that pallet. Where's the other 20? You know what, don't give me excuses, just go get the other 20. Time now."
Levina was extremely stern as she spoke. The employees knew that she ran a tight ship. You do as she said, things went fine. Screw up, she'd come down on your head. This was not the time to mess up, especially as the owner, Mathos Sandoval walked in.
"Mr. Sandoval, I've sent you a few things to review, mostly product levels and what is and isn't selling."
She spoke briefly as he walked through and moved to check on something else out on the floor. Shortly afterwards she heard him call back down as he headed up to his office.
"Yes sir. I trust Amos to make that call if we need."

Pietro had mused through the night after his altercation in the Grey Raven - complaining to Natasha and letting her comfort him in his anger. Somewhere in the night, he'd come to a decision. He was not going to let this sit. He was, after all, a petty creature of the night.

So in the morning, while Natasha slept off the rough night they had shared together, he dressed himself finely and called for two of his attendants to come pick him up. While he waited, clad in black crushed velvet and dark red leather, he removed his aging charm. As his body reverted to his younger form, he pulled out his phone and made a call to Immortal Brews.

"Good morning," he began when the phone was picked up, his voice flute-like. He could hear that they were busy, but that was really no concern of his. "My name is Pietro Popov, former city Minister and owner of the dance club Popov. I would speak with your employer, Mr. Mathos Sandoval, if you please. In person - I have much I wish to discuss with him."

Mathos was not the one to answer Pietro's call, but he was promptly informed that the ex-minister of vampire affairs turned nightclub owner and the proprietor of probably one of the most popular nightclubs on the island, wanted to speak with him.

"Levina!" Mathos called out from his office. "Make sure that Mr. Popov is shown directly into my office the moment he steps in that door."

The normally quick stepping and constantly moving personal assistant froze in her tracks a moment before continuing with what she was doing.
"Yes Mr. Sandoval!"
Her voice called back to her boss as she continued to make sure recovery from the busy few hours happened fluidly. Mr. Popov coming was either really good, or really bad. Levina had hoped that Pietro would have taken her up on the offer of the tour, and maybe that's what he was doing.
But there was something that lingered in the back of her mind that made her worry. She looked over to a different employee.
"Daniel...watch the door. As soon as Mr. Popov arrives, you yell for me, then open the door for him and get him anything he needs. Do you understand?"
The employee, Daniel, smiled and nodded to her before moving off to the door. She made a mental note to talk to Amos about him, he was a hard worker and never let her down.

To anyone unaccustomed to Pietro, the sight of what could easily be a girl of twelve dressed immaculate and gothic and flanked by two obviously older and equally well dressed individuals could be seen as an eccentric family taking a stroll.

But the care with which his assistants held their parasols to block any sunlight from their charge, the subtle bump of firearms under their coats, and the obvious air of superiority with which he carried himself told a different story.

Pietro waited patiently outside of the building, rapping on the door with the gold, rampant lion on the handle of his cane. A symbol he'd come to love since Natasha had begun calling him her lion.

When the door was opened and Pietro was greeted by Daniel, he smiled with thin lips and barely concealed fangs. "Pietro Popov, here to speak with Mr. Sandoval. I would appreciate an invitation out of this oppressive sunlight, if you please."

Daniel, being the great employee he was, did exactly as told. At the arrival of Pietro, Daniel yelled for Levina and without hesitating, opened the door for him and stood to the side to allow him and his own assistants to come in.
"Of course Mr. Popov. Please come in. Ms. Cromwell will be right with you to take you to Mr. Sandoval."
As if on cue, Levina briskly walked up, hair still in a ponytail and tablet still in hand. She bowed courteously to Pietro, a friendly smile on her face.
"Mr. Popov. Pleasure to see you again. I won't delay you. If you would follow me."
Levina turned to Daniel smiling, thanked him, and told him to take a 15 minute break on the clock. She then turned on her heel and lead Pietro up a set of stairs where she stopped and knocked, knowing not to enter before being told in.
"Mr. Sandoval? Mr. Popov here to see you. "
With that she stood to the side waiting for the cue to open the door and allow Mathos guest inside his office.

If Mathos Sandoval had not spent time as Tomas Del Bosque on the Island, he might have been totally caught off guard by the young cherub type figure that entered his office on the heels of his assistant, Levina.

Thankfully though, Mathos was well-aware that Pietro Popov could often be seen as an achingly lovely, but very pretentious and temperamental, child.

"Mr. Popov, please come in," Mathos said in a welcoming tone as he stood up and moved around his desk to greet the ex-minister.

"It's nice to finally make your acquaintance," he stated.

"Mathos Sandoval," he added as he held out a hand in greeting.

Pietro was quiet on the walk up to Mathos' office, his thumb tapping silently against the lion on his cane. One of his assistants remained down at the bottom of the stairs while the second followed him up.

Mathos smelled dead, that much was certain. But Pietro couldn't be entirely sure what kind of dead he was. Not that it mattered much to him. He extended his silk-gloved hand and laid it delicately within the other man's, smiling up at him with a conniving twinkle in his eye.

"It is a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance, Mr. Sandoval. I have heard many good things about your business from your assistant, Ms. Cromwell. Speaking of which..."

Turning to look at Levina, Pietro's smile thinned and he gave her a very pointed look before returning his attention to Pietro.

"There was a bit of a situation the other night, and I hoped that before we talk business that we could... discuss it in detail. Clear the air, as it were."

Levina stepped just inside the office last. Moving to beside the door, she stood with the tablet and her hands behind her back, waiting for anything they needed and trying to portray an air of openness by not crossing her arms.
Pietro opened up by mentioning the good things he had heard from her. Maybe this meeting wouldn't be that bad. That was even the look came. Welp, always darkest before the dawn. Levina sighed internally and made no outward indication of how she was feeling. It took about everything she had to do so. Levina usually wore her emotions on her sleeve.
She remained quiet and allowed them to continue talking. Ready for anything that might come up. She figured there was no use in trying to defend herself before accusations were made.
