Great first day...

Fallon had not had a good trip. Not at all. First, her parents had decided to send her on the same plane as her brother, since her powers had developed at the same time as her brother's. Then, going through security, her stupid gift had set off the metal detectors. Even though they couldn't find any metal on her, and even had her strip searched (a very embarassing thing for a 14-year-old girl), she wasn't allowed on the plane. So, she had to leave her stuff, which was already checked onto the plane, and go home.

Then, from home, she was sent to a boat. She was on the boat for a long time, since it's a crappy way to travel, with only a bit of stuff. The from there, she caught a cab, drove out to the school, and then the cabby wouldn't accept her money. Then she went to her dorm, had a cold shower, because her hot water wasn't working.

On the upside, her clothes were already arrived, so she got to change into some clean clothes. After her hair had dried, she slipped on a black sweater, some jeans, a pair of fuzzy green slippers, and made her way down to the lounge with a book. With any luck, somebody would be around for some decent human contact.

Fallon had gotten knocked over as the other girl had run into her, but she wasn't annoyed. She also didn't bother to get up as the younger girl danced around her. She simply grinned. "I'm Fallon. Who are you?" she asked, before turning her glance to Blu, and dipped her head in thanks. She could have gotten up on her own, but she accepted his offer for help. "Thanks." she said as she pulled herself up with his help. She noticed her book in his hands but said nothing, glancing at two civilized people with gratefulness.

Fallon took the book from Blu's hand with a small smile, then glanced back to Starling. "I know! It's huge. I was just coming down to enjoy it." she spoke with equal excitement as the girl. Mind you, after living in a very large family, your house is pretty big, but also completely packed with people. It was nice to see such a beautiful, large clean area with fewer people.

Topher...I'm here. Where are you? she sent a telepathic message to her brother.

Topher's reply came quickly, as it always did when he was in a quiet place. I'm in my room reading. You? he asked the question, even though he knew the answer. She was always where people were.

In the lounge, talking to people. was her reply.

It figures. I might come down in a bit.
