Graduation Day.

Starlight Academy spared no expense for this important day. The Ballroom was decorated with wall decorations and curtains of red and white. White flowers in tall pots sat in every corner. As a finishing touch, the Graduation March played softly in the background, giving the event a feeling of official authenticity.

The room was completely packed with students, teachers and proud family members alike. A noticeable thick air of tension clouded the entire room as the nervous students awaited their much anticipated Graduation Day – the first step into a new stage in their life. Their nervous chattering progressively grew louder and louder until… everyone heard the Headmistress’ high heeled shoes walk across the wooden stage.

The crowd fell silent.

Headmistress Cordelia Moor presided over the podium. Her sharp pantsuit and formal posture were impeccable and commanded nothing but respect, but her eyes looked upon the shining faces of this year’s graduates with nothing but pride and affection. It was no secret that the Headmistress considered the students of Starlight Academy her own. She cared deeply about everyone gathered here today.

She cleared her throat.

“All of you were brought to Starlight Academy for being very unique individuals. Although the world around may not have appreciated your talents, shunned you or made you feel unwelcome, we never stopped believing.”

A thoughtful pause.

She gestured to everyone in the room. “Look at all of you today. When I look at your shining faces, I see strength, determination and competence. I see an inner fire that burns brighter than any sun. All of you can do anything. Be anything. This day – this Graduation Day – is nothing but a testament of your inner strength. When you take your diploma from my hands, I want all of you to remind yourself: You can take on whatever life throws at you with your head held high.”

An applause.

Headmistress Cordelia Moor left the podium and stood next to the table with diplomas.

“Elementary. Octain-Fallon, Lexi.”

Lexi was standing first in line from the others. He blue dress hung off of her like a princesses Dress as she gulped a bit. She was worried that her father wasn't going to show up as her ears sunk a little bit. He promised he would be there regardless but she had heard that a lot and he never showed up.

Though she saw Kimiko who walked over and gave her a kiss on the forehead which reassured her that at least someone was there for her as she walked from the audience to the stage. Walking up the steps as she went from dimly lit light to bright light of the Auditoriums Lighting instruments. She looked around the stage that was decoratively made to suit the situation. She loved it.

Eventually after playing with her hair band to get her pony tail all set up she was called out onto the stage. She smiled gleefully as she walked out to take her diploma. Walking out onstage towards the Headmistress with her bright smile as she grabbed the Diploma. Holding it for a bit as she could hear someone call out her name. Looking into the audience as she looked around. Along the lines of seeing people take pictures the first person she saw was her father. She almost cried out to him. Instead. She smiled at the audience even brighter and shook the headmistress' hand. The looked at Octain as she could almost hear on how proud he was of her.

Even if he was wearing a suit for the occasion and his mask. He was a teacher of high standing. Could have had other things to do till she thought she also saw Genesis in the audience as well.

Lexi Octain-Fallon. Of course Headmistress Moor knew about her personally. She was the daughter of one of the Academy's respected teachers, Professor Octain. She was glad that the professor trusted the Academy enough to enroll his precious daughter to the school.

Headmistress Moor gave a quick nod at Professor Octain at the crowd before beaming at Lexi.

"Congratulations, Ms. Octain-Fallon. I hope Middle School treats you just as well."

She handed her her diploma and shook her hand.

"High School. Cheska."

Lexi was almost intimidated by the Headmistress, the person who was his fathers boss as well as her intellectual superior. "T-Thank you Ma'am.. I'm Happy I could graduate.. I'll make you proud!" She said with a big smile. Almost fearless in her standing as she took her hand and smiled as she walks off stage. Looking for her father who came up to her and went on his knees as she hugged him. He showed up...

Daddy showed up....

She cried lightly in his arms. She was so happy as she looked up at him with a smile. "I-I did it daddy..."

I know little one.. I am so proud of you.

he eventually let go and patted her head as he escorted her back to her seat and stood back in his own seat.

Headmistress Cordelia Moor

The organizers near the stage began to usher the others at the side to fall in line. Headmistress Moor watched as they were called one by one.

"High School. Bellamy, Pollyana Eve."

After her,

"High School. Blake, Invidia."

And then,

"High School. Cabyll-Ushtey, Lochlann."

Cheska had not been paying attention when her name was called - so when she did realize it, she rushed forward - practically tripping over her own two feet as she moved to get in front of the three called before her.

She gives a breathless apology, "I am sorry, Headmistress."

Headmistress Cordelia Moor

Headmistress Moor understood why any of her students scrambled when they climbed up. It was an important day. The Headmistress has been through such things in her childhood too, as imposing a woman as she was today.

She smiled warmly as the girl entered the stage, shook her hand and handed her her diploma with no mentions of the slip up. "I wish you luck on what lies for you after this, Ms. Cheska."
