Upon being told that they would be getting food after, Alby let out a small snicker. "Sounds good." He then watched as he was raised and placed on the dragon's back. He opened his mouth to add something about Eein sure needing to eat a lot, but was beat to it by Eein himself. He'd smile, instead saying "Makes sense."

With yet another lift off and an excited squeal, the two began working their way past the woods and above the forbidden forest. Upon seeing the darker thicker forest, Alby called out to the driver. "That's it isn't it!?" He considered accidentally falling off, but once again Eein seemed to read his mind, warning him against it. He didn't really want to cause Eein more trouble than he already had, so he figured he's stay put. "I would never, don't worry."

It was hard to see anything through the trees, but eventually they came across the clearing and Alby got a great view of a chimera. He didn't say a word, but his mouth opened in awe.

"Huh?" Alby felt like they had just begun. "Not yet, we haven't even seen any hydras or reptilian bears." He could've just stayed there, flying through the air forever, but he knew Eein was hungry. "How about we find two more residents of the forest and then we can head back?""

The dragon would sigh a little. "Fine but I can't promise it'll be either of those," he'd sniff the air, his wings taking them a bit further in, "I smell something this way." It wasn't one of the creatures he was hoping for, but it'll be amazing to a human newcomer anyways.

They'd come a grouping of trees slightly taller than most of the others. Curled around it was some sort of fury serpent, with spines running down it's back, the young dragon made sure to stay at a distance. "Not a hydra....but definitely weird looking," the serpent would raise its tail and shake it at them, try to intimidate them.

"Moving on," he'd fly to the left, following another scent. "Ah, look there," he'd point to a gap between the trees, there was a reptilian bear, it seemed to smell them and was shaking, its scales making a rattling sound. "So whatcha think?"

That was fine, Alby wasn't too picky on what he saw, he just wanted to see more.

When Eein said he smelt something, Alby perked up as much as he could without falling off. He looked around trying to spot whatever it was Eein was picking up on, finally finding a strange and large serpent. He let out a silent but stretched out "Whooaa." Clearly content despite the fact that it wasn't a hydra.

It wasn't long after that Eein spotted another creature. A reptilian bear! "Huh!" Alby darted his eyes around trying to see where it was, finally spying the bear through a small opening in the trees. It wasn't a great view of the bear, but one could still easily tell what it was. Alby noted that everything in the forest seemed to be putting out warning signs. Just like Eein had said, these creatures were unlikely to be friendly.

When asked what he thought, Alby grinned. "That was awesome, this is awesome, the bear was aah, and the serpent, not to mention the chimera! He took a deep breath in and out to calm himself, then continued. "Thanks Eein, we can go get food now."

With their brief tour over his wings would take them away from the hostile forest, landing in a clearing a safe distance away. "Well....you've seen monsters now," he'd set Alby down, and shifted to his human form. "Now you don't have to risk getting eaten just to sate your curiosity."

His stomach would growl loudly. "Was gonna go hunting but I doubt you'd enjoy raw venison," pulling out his phone he'd look at something real quick. "There's a small restaurant near the edge of this clearing," he'd motion in the proper direction.

"So, besides getting chased by wolves whatcha been up to?" he'd ask, "hopefully staying out of trouble besides what happened today."

“Yes! And it was wonderful, thank you!” Alby was very happy with what he’d seen. Though, in a way, it made him want to see more of the forest. What he’d seen was incredible, and he’d only just scratched the surface. Still, he couldn’t admit this fact to Eein, after all, he’d made a deal.

If it meant getting to watch Eein hunt, he probably could’ve stomached raw venison. But he’d been through a lot already and was pretty hungry himself, so a restaurant made more sense. “Okay, let’s go there then.”

“Of course, of course.” Apart from the wolf incident he really had been pretty good. “I’ve mostly just been going around meeting with people and learning. Some exercise too.” Alby would flex his rather average arm as he spoke of exercise. “I was only here in the woods cause someone told me a white stag helped people who were lost in the woods.” He then made a confused face “But I never saw anything like that.”

The dragon would look at Alby when he flexed, snorting, a little amused as his somewhat small human friend. "Keep trying," he'd say, flexing his own arm, Eein had quite a lot of muscle, definitely more than the average teenager.

He'd let out a thoughtful hum. "While that does sound like something that this forest would have.....its also possible they were just messing with you." Eein would motion for him to follow, "you're knew so they probably meant it as a prank, probably didn't think you'd actually go looking for him."

Eein would scratch as his cheek. "Who told you about the stag?" he'd ask as they walked. He knew most wouldn't try to harm a newcomer, but there were a few assholes who would.

Alby would shrug. "I never really ended up getting lost enough to start finding my way back before those wolves interrupted, so I never really got far enough to tell." He couldn't really see why someone would lie about that, seemed like a pretty pointless prank as far as Alby was concerned. Having lived a life surrounded by honest people left Alby being a pretty gullible person.

"I was told about that one from one of the workers at a fast food place. I was wondering if they knew of any cool stuff around the island and they told me about this stag." As gullible as he was, Alby did sense something was off about the island. "That being said, I've been hearing all sorts of different stuff about people on the island misbehaving too, this stag thing is just one of many rumours I've been hearing. Do people usually tell newcomers random stuff to throw them off?"

"Most people wouldn't," he'd say, his stomach would again growl, "but theres a few assholes who probably would, a few that like messing with the new arrivals." He doubted there were a lot of them, but he was enough of a realist to know that there were at least a few of them.

"In conclusion.....don't believe everything people tell you....especially when they're a stranger." He'd always viewed that as common sense, yet here he was, lecturing someone.

He'd sigh and scratch the back of his head. "Just don't get maimed....or killed....or eaten....or all three," by then they were nearing the city.

Alby walked and listened as Eein basically told him not to be so gullible. The big issue Alby found himself with was that almost everything seemed far fetched here, but a good portion of those things that would normally be considered impossible were totally true. This left it very difficult to tell what crazy stuff was a lie or a truth.

He'd chuckle at Eein telling him not to get himself killed. "I'll try my best, or at least better than I have been." Whether he actually would try harder was questionable at best.

"So, where are you taking us?" Alby would look over at him curiously.

"To get food," he'd say as they finally exited the fields and entered the outskirts of the city. "There's a burger place nearby, they have venison burgers, gonna get a medium rare one, probably with extra onions." Honestly the need for extra food was a bit annoying, but it wasn't as if he could just stop eating.

"Anyways we'll eat and find something else to do," he'd shrug, "maybe explore the city a bit unless you have other plans." He was free the rest of the day but he didn't know if Alby had any plans or not.
