Vinanye looked at the flyer he held in his hand. To be fair, Vinnie had several flyers in his hand, and not all of them were for jobs. If Manta Carlos were a tourist-heavy location, one would see people who looked like Vin right then.

Dressed in bright, attention attracting clothing, with a thousand and one things in his hands, pockets, and backpack -- things that ranged from cards to stones, to flowers--, and looking around at everything like he may never see it again.

Stepping into Gomorrah, Vinanye's mouth fell agape as he tried to find his way to this job meeting. Vin didn't know enough about interviews to be nervous by the prospect, or the way he was dressed (nothing professional here, sorry). Vin had never had a real job in his life and didn't understand them the way normal people did. Where Vinanye was from, people just seemed to have their place...of course, that could have also been privilege speaking. Ignorant privilege.

Vinanye tapped a few peoples' shoulders to ask where he was supposed to be heading to, exactly, but most of them weren't staff members, and so had no answers for him. Finally, one of the staff pointed him in the right direction and Vinnie was off with his usual pep.

He was five minutes late, but that wasn't his fault. This place moved so fast. Very very fast.

Gomorrah wasn't hiring. Mikhainon had a full staff imported straight from hell and other dimensions. That didn't mean there wasn't a job interview happening.

Conversations with Klaus always took an odd turn, and eventually they came to the conclusion that they were going to open up a brothel at the old abandoned church in the Strip called Temptations. Mikhainon could just as easily import another set of workers, but he was trying to look good by opening up job opportunities. Mikhainon had recently expanded to the newspaper and LuxTV, and now, he was going into the Brothel business. He was a man that made wishes come true. Going into pimping seemed appropriate.

Mikhainon was a formal dresser on his normal, albeit he traded the red dress shirt for a black one and switched the black tie for rose patterns. He didn't look like a business owner, but he certainly carried himself like one.

As soon as Vin knocked on his door, Mikhainon had a waitress open the door to let him in. He recognized his scent as soon as he stepped in.

Fae. Mikhainon adored the fae, identified with them at times even. Did this little fairy understand where he was?

Could he understand?

He found that to be a much preferred circumstance. He wore a smile but his aura was thick, mixing in a confused manner with his. Mikhainon gestured to the chair. "Welcome to Gomorrah. I'm sure you've heard of me. But I haven't heard of you. Why have you come here, if I may ask?"

Vinanye hadn't been around Manta Carlos long enough to understand any other type of creatures other than the Fae. To Vinnie, everything was more or less Fae. When Gabriel mentioned that Vinnie likely knew who he was, Vin held up the flyer and pointed to the name printed there.

"You are Gabriel Baltimore, I hope! Uh, besides that, I hope I was not supposed to know more about you." Vinanye paused, considering the possibility that this man was a big name something. That was likely. The Gem was quick to move on, bouncing forward to plop down into a chair and lean over, hand out for Gabriel to shake.

"It is nice to meet you, Gabriel! I am Vinanye Reed, but you can call me Vinnie or Vin if you like." No, Vinanye was hardly a professional. He was cheerful, bubbly, some might even say charismatic, but professional was not among his list of perks.

"And I am here because of this," he again held up the job flier. "I have here for the," it took Vin a second. He was better at reading the common tongue than he was speaking it. Sometimes it took a second or two for him to remember pronunciations, "interview!"

Vinnie watched the man, trying to get a feel for him, as some might have said. While many did this as a method of reading people, Vin was trying to figure out which gift he should have bestowed upon Gabriel.

This did not feel real. Mikhainon was well aware that fae didn't have emotional responses like humans, but to be this peppy in a prostitution job... He wondered if Vinanye understood the sort of job he was applying for. Moreover, if he could even register it as shady at all. Mikhainon shook his hand with a crooked smile on his face, laughter threatening to burst.

"Uh... huh... It's good to meet you, Vinanye. I'm glad you can join me tonight." He wasn't professional in the slightest, but his peppy attitude was almost infectious. Mikhainon could see why there would be a market for that sort of man. He took the flier, squinting at it. "Yes, well, it's very clear on the flier that our upcoming brothel, Temptations, will be hiring staff. Are you aware what kind of staff a brothel would be hiring?"

Mikhainon stood up, circling his desk so he could stand casually next to Vinanye, arms crossed. He was going to spell it out for him. "Sex workers. Prostitutes. You'll be servicing people sexually for money." He rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Truth be told, I am attracted to you, Mr. Reed, so you'll fit in the staff just fine. But do you really want it?"

It would have been completely understandable if Gabriel was confused by Vinnie, even if he was intimately acquainted with Underhill. Vinanye did not act like many of the Fae, even if his magic suggested he was among them. Because Vinnie had never truly been Fae, and that wasn't a fact that bothered him at all.

Now, something felt awfully familiar here to Vin. The way Gabriel smiled, the way he walked, spoke, acted. Yes, Gabriel reminded Vinanye of the most powerful of Fae. Haughty, proud, and easily offended. The kind of Fae that had Vin using Underhill's magic in the first place. It didn't irritate or make Vinanye nervous, per say (as things so rarely did) but he did know how to deal with these types of threats better.

That was if Gabriel were Fae, which he was not. Vin knew the magic of the Fae, whether they were from Under the Hill or not. Gabriel did not possess that imprint.

Vin was just about to answer Mikh's question when the other man stood and walked around his desk to stand in front of the Gem. Vinnie looked up at him, politely waiting for him to be finished talking. The whole time, the little Fae was wondering why Gabriel had put so much emphasis on sex workers. Was that something with this culture?

"Thank you," Vin said, though less peppy than before as he was distracted trying to understand the subtlety behind Gabriel's words. Vinanye wondered if he oughta tell Gabriel he was pretty, too, but thought not. It wasn't completely a compliment, but rather a statement of fact.

"Yes?" Vin answered. To the Gem, this was a strange question to ask! He was here, no? Did Mr. Baltimore believe he did not know what sex work was? Was it some big deal around here? "I do know what brothels are. And of course, I want the job, sir! That is why I came here." He didn't say so, but it was pretty clear by Vinnie's tone of voice that he thought this was an odd question to ask someone.
