Dean laid down on the grass, the hot sun shining overhead. He just laid there, picking at the grass at staring up at the cloudless sky. He was so confused; his mind was jumbling with so many 'what ifs' and so many worst case scenarios that he would write a book. Dean took a few deep breaths, trying to convince himself that everything was going to be alright. That everything would go according to plan. Besides, he wasn't alone. Selia would be with him. And she's the main reason he even going on the adventure. Because of her.

The boy sat up, blinking several times to refocus his vision. He couldn't wimp out now, not before the big day. He wouldn't allow himself.

Selia wandered into the lawn, after many hours in the city, started at dawn, she was finally done. "Thank god," she thought, yawning. On her arm were about five bags, most of them full, one with a new laptop in it.

It was odd, seeing her out of her normal clothes, and in jeans and a red tank-top, and her hair loose over her shoulders, and without weapons, she actually looked normal, besides the hair. She noticed Dean and smirked, though stopped a moment, she wondered how he really thought about this little journey that they were going on.

After a moment, she walked towards him, a smile on her face, though, she tried pushing those thoughts away.

"Hi, Dean." She said, cheerfully.

Dean was completely lost in thought, still partially stuck in the whole 'worst case scenario' part of his mind. Aimlessly looking around, he popped back into reality when he realized that Selia was walking towards him. For a split second though, he didn't recognize that it was Selia herself, since she didn't have her knives or anything with her, she looked so normal.

"Hi, Dean."

Dean looked up at Selia and flashed her a smile, covering his eyes with his hand in order to see her better. She looked good. "Hey, Selia. Where have you been?" He asked looking at the several bags dangling from her arm. He completely forgot that she said she had to get several things, and those things were mostly likely in the bag. God what a stupid question to ask.

"Hey, Selia. Where have you been?"

Selia smiled, and then plopped down next to him, and taking the bags off her arm, and stretch a moment.

"Shopping, in the city since dawn, ugh, how tired I am..." She said, with a laugh. And she has been up since dawn, once stopping to talk to someone else who was in the city, then she was busy, going to get supplies, and a few little things.

"Also trying to pinpoint the place my father was last." Selia said in a calm, easy tone

"Shopping, in the city since dawn, ugh, how tired I am..."

"What? Aren't you tired? I mean, we have quite a big day tomorrow, so shouldn't you get some rest?" Dean was quite surprised that Selia had been shopping since dawn.

"Also trying to pinpoint the place my father was last."

Dean looked over to Selia for a moment. He didn't say anything, just looked at her. For a moment, he almost wished she hadn't found anything and that the adventure was canceled. What am I thinking??!! He thought to himself, surprised by his own thoughts. There was no way he could just leave Selia. He promised her. Dean almost hit himself for thinking such things, but then turned back to Selia and asked, "Did you find anything?'

"What? Aren't you tired? I mean, we have quite a big day tomorrow, so shouldn't you get some rest?"

Selia laughed.

"I couldn't sleep well, so I just got up early. I guess I was to excited... or nervous." She said, and looked up to watch two girls go by, talking, and laughing. Everyone here at the school was happy, and cheerful. Suddenly, Selia wondered if she and Dean will ever make it back, or would they both... die? Selia shuddered.

"Did you find anything?"

"Not much, just that he was at the city docks, seeing me off to come here. I might be able to find more out there, after the boat ride." She said, shrugging.

She looked over at Dean.

"Dean... do you really want to do this?... to go on this big adventure, that could.... could lead to even our deaths?" She asked, her voice was quiet, and though it was hard to notice, a tint of fear.

"I couldn't sleep well, so I just got up early. I guess I was to excited... or nervous."

Dean shrugged, understanding what she meant. The previous night, Dean couldn't sleep either, and he probably wasn't going to get any sleep tonight either.

"Not much, just that he was at the city docks, seeing me off to come here. I might be able to find more out there, after the boat ride."

He nodded, knowing that it wasn't much information, but it was useful in some way. "We could find the guy that was in charge of the book and see what he knows. If he remembers you or something - that is, if you remember what he looks like. But then there's the chance that he might not even be there or ..." Dean trailed off, knowing that his suggestion might have been slightly useful, but that his doubts were clearly showing.

"Dean... do you really want to do this?... to go on this big adventure, that could.... could lead to even our deaths?"

Dean remained quiet; a dead give away. But the thing was that he was just unsure. nervous mainly, but he did want to do it. Every time Dean wanted to do something adventurous, fear always got in the way. But not this time, he couldn't let it happen. He looked over to Selia and said lightly, "Selia - I really want to do this, you know? But I'm not going to lie to you, I scared, nervous, always worried about what might happen. But I want to go. Besides...I promised you I'd stick with you."

Selia shrugged once more. "It may work, just have to hope that he remembers... that should helps us a bit, hopefully..." She said, wondering if he would remember, but then there was the thought of herself not remembering the person who was in charge then. "I'm sure we'll find some why to find him."

She watched Dean, as he was silent, and bit her lip.

"Selia - I really want to do this, you know? But I'm not going to lie to you, I scared, nervous, always worried about what might happen. But I want to go. Besides...I promised you I'd stick with you."

She smiled a weak smile, then oddly, took one of his hands, in both of hers.

"Thanks..." She said, though, not really knowing why herself.

"It may work, just have to hope that he remembers... that should helps us a bit, hopefully..."

Dean could tell that she was a bit doubtful, just like he was. He didn't say anything, because he felt like he didn't need to, but most likely they were both thinking the same thing: what if he wasn't there, or she didn't remember?

"I'm sure we'll find some why to find him."

Dean gave a simple nod and said, "Yeah, you're right. We will find him...some how. We just, have to stick together."

There was a small moment of surprise when Selia took one of his hands into both of hers, but oddly, Dean didn't mind. He didn't pull away or anything, he just smiled slightly. Then, without really thinking about what he was doing, Dean scooted over closer to Selia and put his other hand on top of her hands. "No problem."

"Yeah, you're right. We will find him...some how. We just, have to stick together."

"Yes... always stick together." She mumbled, as she was looking down at his and her hands. She had to be brave, her father taught her to fight, track, and to kill, though, she had never killed anyone before, and didn't want to, but there was one thing her father could never teach her, and that's how not to be afraid, to fear.

She feared her father a lot of the times when she would fail a test he would give her, he would get scary, luckily, he had never harmed her, and it once made Selia believed he was kind, but since the fire she accidently started, she believed him cruel for making her life a lie, and for raising her only to kill.

She hardly noticed when he scooted closer to her, but did once he put his other hand untop of hers, then she looked up, looking into his eyes.
