“You made it yourself? Wow, that’s really cool.” And it had a really good, ah, track record? Was he using that term right? Well, it didn’t matter that much… did it?

Alfredo watched in awed silence as Alice went right up to a bunch of students and asked them if they could use a certain part of the hallway, and they just did it. The sort of thing he would never have the guts for.

Still, she was really, really cool. He nodded eagerly when Alice offered her hand, and took it with a bright, eager smile.

Such a fool...Heh Alice thought to herself as Alfredo took her hand. Stupidity as a trait Alice had a intimate love-hate relationship with. On one hand, being surrounded by idiots was a major hassle for somebody as intelligent as miss. Mordrake. Yet, at the same time, stupidity made manipulating people much, much easier, and in this case this cute little rabbit boy was enough of a fool to eat out of her hands. Yes...in time, she'd have him being like a trained dog...heck, he already was!

Of course, what truly interested Alice was Alfredo's power....it was certainly useful...while it was certainly not flashy, it had applications, and on a larger scale could be used to do some amazing things. Alice's mind swirled with possibilities. re-constructing enemy spaceships into useless hunks of metal. Shifting entire worlds around to make resource extraction easier and, of course, re-arranging people in the most terrible, painful way possibles. What a wonderful torture that would be! Alice thought to herself. She was so excited by the thought that she had to bite her lip just to stop from letting out a deranged giggle.

Stepping through the portal device with Alfredo, the pair where instantly transported to another SPECTER lair half-way across the multiverse. Of course, to one like Alfredo who is unfamiliar with the mechanics of portals, this fact would remain virtually unknown as the place where they where now looked like it could be anywhere. The surroundings where clearly expensive and it showed. The whole place had a sleek, modern design aesthetic with clean lines and shapes. It was lit just bright enough to see but at the same time was dim enough to give off a shady yet comfortable feel. The colors of the room was a combination of slick black and gunmetal grey, with deep red oval-shaped light fixtures providing the illumination. Walking down a long hallway with Alfredo in hand, the pair where greeted by a man dressed in the cloths of a Butler.

"Lady Alice...I see you've returned with a friend. While I wasn't expecting you back so soon, I am always ready to serve. How can I help you two?" The Butler asked the both of them, remaining stoic and polite.

"Well, Alfredo and I want something to eat. You know my tastes...so just tell the chef to surprise me. As for my friend here, his name's Alfredo!...and he can speak for himself." Alice said happily.

"Master Alfredo? Is there anything in particular you want to eat?" The butler asked the rabbit boy.

Alfredo was never all that good with dark places. His home had always been very well lit, and that was what he was used to, so being in this dark place made him squirm a little. It was very pretty, and it was very neat, but it wasn’t all that comfortable, not for him. He hung close to Alice, wondering just where they’d turned up.

With how empty it seemed, he was surprised when he saw someone else, and even more surprised when they called her “Lady Alice.” “But she’s not a lady, she’s just a girl,” Alfredo mumbled. Weren’t ladies supposed to be adults?

And now he was being called Master, too. Was this just normal around here? “Um… something sweet, I guess. Grapes or something?”

Being still inside Alfredo's mind Alice immediately knew he was uncomfortable. The Butler took down both there requests, but before she left, Alice decided to speak up. "I think a change of scenery is in order for my friend here, so if you don't mind, please deliver our food to the skydeck." Alice said to the Butler. With that she lead Alfredo along to a larger then normal tile on the floor. As they both set foot on it it glowed blue and they immediately where reported to another room entirely. Unlike the previous one, this one was a large, spacious room with a massive concave wall made from what looked to be entirely glass. The view outside was breathtaking, to say the least. Vast, snow capped mountains lay sprawled out before Alfredo and Alice's eyes, with a bright, sunny, blue sky providing more then enough light for Alfredo, along with the actual lights in the room itself.

The furniture had a similar aesthetic to the first room, sleek and modern, with slick black and gunmetal grey colors, yet the seat cushions where plush and white. Alice took her seat at one of the chairs that circled a small table and motioned Alfredo to take a seat at the chair opposite her.

"So...now that we're away from all those mean kids, I'd like to know a bit more about you, if you don't mind telling me? Like...you seem pretty cool...it's not so often you meet a bunny boy! I'd like to know where you came from...like..before the school...that is if your ok with telling me.." Alice asked in a frendly, cheerful tone.

It was lucky for both Alice and Alfredo that his eyesight was pretty terrible and his sense of perspective even worse, because if Alfredo had realized how high up they were and how many bones he’d break if he fell he’d have had a heart attack right then and there and that’d be the end of him.

As Alfredo saw it, they were sitting close to the outdoors, and it was a nice sunny day, and there were some tall hills or something in the distance, and he was quite pleased with that.

Alfredo scooted into the seat he’d been shown and then listened to the girl across from him raptly. “Well, I am pretty cool,” he said, brushing his ears down pridefully. “Where I came from? Well, Lyla said sometimes that it was America! Or the USA, apparently. I got moved from cage to cage sometimes, but mostly I was in Lyla’s bedroom or the living room.“
