Orion slipped through the halls, politely nodding to students passing by, it was all new to him, every last bit. His glowing eyes looking over everything, the magical symbols and data in them swirling.

For the next while this school was his home, and for the first time sense he left the lab, he didn't have to hide his eyes, didn't have to wander and pretend he was human.

As he walked his eyes fell to a girl, probably a few years older. He tilted his heas curiously, she looked human. He stepped over to her and with a calm smile he bowed, "hello," he said in his strange yet soothing accent, "I just arrived, my name is Orion."

Walking down the corridor, Amelia was trying to figure out which way the library was. She had only been on the island for a day and she wanted to find out more about the place. As she searched, a boy came up to her and bowed, introducing himself. Amelia gave a look of slight confusion - people didn't usually introduce themselves whilst they bowed. She didn't care though, she was just glad people could actually see her now.
"Oh, hey, nice to meet you. I'm Amelia, I only arrived yesterday," she said.

He smiles at her "ah, a fellow new arrival," he remembered one of the teachers mentioning that quite a few new students had arrived, "it's a pleasure to meet you Amelia, you have a lovely name."

He rose from his bow, giving her a sight of his unique eyes, "I apologise if I was interrupting anything, I was hoping to meet others my age," he smiled, "you seem very kind." Orion wasn't the most socialized person, which was no surprise.

"Thank you." She looked into his glowing blue eyes, the light and symbols Amelia had never seen before dancing around them. They looked as though they could be mechanical. "Wow! Your eyes are beautiful."

She realized she was staring so she quickly looked away. Amelia had done a lot of flirting in her life, but if her death taught her anything, life means so much more than being with a boy or popular. She decided it was time to turn over a new leaf. No more relationships for the sake of it or for status. "Erm.. I best be going. It was really nice meeting you."

Her calling his eyes beautiful threw him off, "I...no one has ever said that," he had quickly learned to hide his eyes while around humans to avoid fear and unwanted attention. He tilted his head and smiled, "thank you, but they pale in comparison to yours."

His smile faded a bit as she seemed to be leaving, "wait," he said calmly, "did....did I do something wrong? If so I apologise," he hated the idea of potentially offending this girl.

"Oh, no. You haven't done anything wrong. I was just heading to the library." Now she felt guilty. She had made Orion think that he had done something wrong. She didn't want to upset anyone, especially on her second day on the island. "Are you going anywhere? I was just going to read up about this place but it can wait."

He was relieved, she was one of the few people his own age he'd been able to talk to, "I'm exploring the school, getting used to everything." His eyes continued to swirl, "I haven't been to a library in a long time," he chuckled, "I normally just download the data."

It was strange to him, having a normal conversation after spending his life either in a lab or wandering, "I would like to go with you if that's ok." he was enjoying the conversation and wanted it to continue.

"Sure, I'd like that. I don't really know anyone here," she explained. Amelia thought that him accompanying her to the library might be a bit boring; she was only going to have a quick skim through a couple of books. Download data? Maybe he was some kind of robot, that would explain the eyes. Guessing that it could be rude to ask, she decided to let him tell her in his own time, if he wanted to.
"In fact, scratch that. Let's go somewhere else. Have you come across anything in this place that would be fun? All I've done since I've got here is try to catch up on anything I've missed from last term."

He smiled brightly, this was new, this was something he had no experience with. He chuckled a bit, "not yet, but I'm sure we can find something," he said in his strange accent, "it is fascinating though, all the magic, there is much to see and do."

He tilted his head slightly, he could never really spend time with people, let alone a pretty girl his age, "we could try and find something here, or go into the city." He grinned a bit, "I heard there is a lot in the city, even magic shops."

Lifting his hand, he projected a small hologram, it showed info on various shops frin the websites he'd found online. He smirked ever so slightly, "I mean, if we cant find some fun in a magic city, then there's no hope for us," he said joking.

"A magic shop could be cool." Amelia had no idea what wonders would be in a place like that, and that excited her. She loved learning new things, even though she used to act like she knew very little when she was alive; clever people were usually never popular.

Orion projected various places in the city. This guy just kept on surprising her. The sense of humour surprised her too; he initially seemed very serious. "I have no idea how to get there, so you'll have to lead the way."
