"You have a son?" He sounded surprised. He was surprised. Especially considering what it was he had wanted to ask him in the first place. Still, Hadley supposed he couldn't judge anyone based on the way he lived his own life.
"Didn't take you to be the parent type."

"Yeah, it is an amusing story involving trying to decompile my own data within a school computer... And somehow the computer took it too far. And took other computers with it across Manta Carlos at random. For a whole week.", Neon slowly sunk behind the table, embarrassed about that incident still, "But anyways!", and suddenly he propped himself upright, "I took responsibility for my actions and chose to raise him as my son. Although I was told I'm a little too "papa wolf" with him, wherever he goes I'm right behind. Symlink is a nice boy"

"I see. Never had any myself." He took a drink, pausing again. "As far as I know, at least." He added on with a chuckle.
"Try not to be too overbearing. That's how you end up with him turning out the same as me." He said, finishing another drink and quickly signaling for a refill.

"Oh, don't worry about it much... He's a well mannered child to a T, I don't even need to, as they say "put him in a short leash". Sym has yet to do a single thing to have me lecture him or genuinely upset me. So far the worst "he did" were get a computer virus, which got him bedridden to be treated by me and was something we never anticipated, and he experienced an actual "Sugar Rush" of sorts, which we never knew was even possible at all.", it was very casual how he spoke of both incidents.

"Well, that's good to hear. I figure if I ever had one of my own- counting my blessings that I don't- they'd end up being a little too similar to me to handle." He said with a small chuckle, thanking the waiter as they brought over his next drink.
"Didn't know that viruses actually worked that way when people are.. er.. I don't know the right word, but from a computer."

"Unless they inherited your innate strength, doubt you'd need to be concerned.", or so Neon believed anyways. "Well, Sym is a data being after all, so his data can be tampered from external sources. It's like if you breathed in contaminated air or ate bad food, it would alter things within your body in a harmful way, and your body would try to respond to it."

"No worries there, I don't have any innate strength. Born human, the arm was added on later." He said. "And I suppose that makes sense. I'm still just getting used to all the different ways that people are alive here."
He took another drink. "I should probably be getting back to K.C soon, though."

"So many different species, a lot of which we never heard of in Narrow Reality.", Neon was impressed by that himself, but after being in Manta Carlos for so long he didn't show it anymore. At first however, he would have his jaw drop with each new discovery...

But soon it was coming the time for them to part ways. "You to Kassie and me to see my son, I'd say."

"Well then, I suppose here's where we should call things." He said, signaling for his tab from one of the waiters. He got it paid quickly and stood up, nodding to Neon one last time.

"Get back to your son, good luck with parenting him."

"Ah, yes. I will have my son grow into a fine man, and I was lucky he's a good child... So for now, I bid farewell, Hadley-san. Thank you for your time and for taking good care of Kassie.", and after standing up he gave a grateful bow, before making his leave.
