Silas acquired his precognition powers when he was six, from the ghost of a human sacrifice at a Mayan temple right next to where he lived. He lived with his mother and grandmother until he was eight, and when his mom died, he went to live with his dad.
His dad was incredibly neglectful, but rich. It was a terrible childhood.
He shipped Silas off to Starlight Academy so that 1) Silas wouldn't be his problem anymore and 2) so Silas could meet other people with supernatural abilities.

Silas puts up this front of a nonchalant, suave, cool guy that doesn't care about a lot. He doesn't execute it very well, and he's actually a nervous wreck that will babble and mutter until you gag him. He's actually a goofball with a really good heart, but he's vulnerable and doesn't like to let people see that side of him.
