Assan turned and walked through the portal, looking around. With a tilt of his head, he smiled. Now this was his element. Literally.

Assan turned and walked through the portal, looking around. With a tilt of his head, he smiled. Now this was his element. Literally.
"Next!" Laetus quickly chimed in from behind yet another portal. Through this one, one would end up atop a rather high building in town, looking about would give a good view of most of the city, from the shops uptown to the suburbs in the distance. One problem, however; there was no railing, and no obvious way down except... well, down. It was obvious this rooftop wasn't meant for sight seeing.
Assan, slowly, stepped through the portal. He frowned, he was scared, but refused to show it. He glanced around, staying away from the edge.
"GRAND TOUR!" Laetus yelled happily from behind him before drifting into yet another portal. Clearly the coffee finally got to him... Or maybe all the sugar he dumped in it to make the 'nasty water' more bearable. Through the next portal, one would find themselves in the art room, surrounded by incomplete paintings left by the previous class.
Assan followed, confused. "Are you crazy? Or are you on some type of medication?" He was startled, and freaked out. He wasn't used to this kind of behavior at all, he was used to calm and quiet.
"To be honest, I'm more freaked out. I didn't even know I HAD powers. I just found out a few months ago." Assan answered honestly, looking at the boy in front of him. He himself had his head tilted to the side. "And I have never met anyone like you before."
"Oh..." Laetus sighed out. The idea... never really occurred to him. Being a fairy, his whole life had involved magic and oddities. This was his normal life. A world he was born into.
"Must be some crazy culture shock, right? Just relax though. People here are just like anyone else. Some are bad, some are good, and all have flaws. We're just..." He smiled and patted the boys head. "More interesting."

Assan looked away, annoyed. "I barely am able to understand what skills I have. I can do a few simple things, and it's still probably not enough."
