Daenmor was more than used to sleeping in the cold and against hard surfaces. He had spent probably a quarter of his life as a vagrant of some kind. So after he and Ankh had worn each other out and she had turned to stone, he had no trouble leaning back against her and falling asleep.

Waking up to her coming back to life was something else entirely. The sudden change in smell, of stonework becoming flesh. The feeling of the vibrations of her purring and her face nuzzling up against him. And her voice. All in all, a damn good way to wake up.

Daen blinked up at Ankh, giving her a pleasant, sleepy grin as he reached up to stroke her cheek. "I am now. And you were right. You are pretty comfortable to sleep on."

"Hee... well get used to me being right on most things. As well as being comfortable~" cheekily replied Ankh as she pats Daenmor, wearing a stupid looking grin at Daenmor groggy compliments to her.

Now that were both awake, Ankh took this opportunity slowly stood up and stretched out her entire body; giving Daenmor some eye candy to appreciate. Her butt stuck out in the air, front paws reached as far forward as they could, while her arms reached for the ceiling. She even went as far as stretching out her mouth as she let our big yawn. One of her eyes peek over to her fiance, seeing how was enjoying himself before she lays down next him once more now that she felt more limber.

"Mhmmm... now that we both shared a restful sleep, I am curious to hear of whatever wedding plans you might have. I know its early but I am just so excited I just want to talk things out! I understand you not one for large and extravagant festivities so we will try to keep things small. We will have look into an appropriate venue but I think we need to know how many will be in attendance first. Whom do you wish to be at our wedding, if any."

Daenmor stretched as he stood up to get dressed for the day. His clothes were off to the side, folded a bit haphazardly on the floor. He listened to Ankh, enjoying watching her stretch as well as he considered his options for a wedding. "Small works fine for me, and I don't really have anyone to invite to be honest."

Things were starting to mend with the Rukt'ins, but he wasn't there yet. Not in a place where he was going to invite them to something like his wedding. Part of him still didn't trust them not to fuck up and backslide into their old habits. He was preemptively ready to lash out again.

"That said, depending on what you want I can work extra fights to save up the money."

He paused, holding onto the shirt he'd worn instead of putting it on. He probably wouldn't, in all honesty. "What do you want? What would be a perfect wedding for you, love?" Obviously they could talk about it. Meet somewhere in the middle.

Ankh nods her head, for she didn't have many people on her list to invite to the wedding either. She didn't have family and she didn't expect Daenmor to invite his family for their wedding either. Thus a small wedding would suffice. Ankh was charmed by Daenmor's insistence on working extra hard to pay for the wedding expenses even if she could pay for the entire wedding herself if she wanted to.

"Oh don't concern yourself with money, unless you really feel compelled to contribute just to prove yourself to me to which I won't stop you. As for what I want..." Ankh rests her chin upon her wrist, contemplating what things their wedding should include. "... well, I only request that that we try to find an Egyptian priest to ordain us. Otherwise marriages were a simple back in ancient Egypt. Only affirmation of love and agreement to a contract all that is needed for wedding. What about you? Are there traditions from your people that you would like to try to incorporate for our wedding?"

Daenmor waved his hand dismissively as he got closer to Ankh and pressed his body against the fur of her flank. She was soft and warm in a way that a blanket and a bed couldn't be. She was alive, and he could feel her muscles and blood underneath the skin. "Nah, I don't want anything they have."

He paused, considering his words carefully for once as he moved forward until his hand brushed up against human skin instead of fur. He let his fingers trace the lines of Ankh's abs for a moment as he continued. "I'm not there yet. Fweiu finally gets it, why I am - was - angry. But that doesn't mean that anything will change."

"So simple is good. I'm sure on this clusterfuck of an island we can find an Egyptian priest. I'll start looking as soon as possible."

Ankh let out a low purr as Daenmor's hand caressed along the length of her body from fur to skin. Her tail swished excitedly from side to side, stopping only when the subject of Fweiu is brought up. But her tail resumed its wagging as Daenmor seemed to have approved of choose in finding an Egyptian priest to marry them.

"Excellent! I will see about looking into a location for us to be wedded at, as well as look into amenities and services we could consider for the wedding." thoughtfully stated Ankh, wondering where their wedding would take place and what is needed for their wedding. "But... we should have some time to sort that all out in time... we don't even have a date set."

With a brief chuckle, Ankh looked down to Daenmor with her head slightly tilted to her left. While there were many questions she had on her mind, there was one that seemed most prominent to ask.

"Dear I must ask, do you have intentions for you to move in with me? Or I with you? I know your place is... small... but if it is necessary I can come to live with you."

"Mmm," Daenmor said at that question. He looked around the home that Ankh had built for herself, uncertain. He gave a shrug and changed, growing taller until he was nearly eye level with his lover. Daenmor's arms wrapped around her shoulders as he pressed his forehead against hers. "I don't know, to be honest. I've been on my own for a while, and I don't want to impose on your beautiful home with my savagery."

He grinned, clearly joking as he leaned in to kiss her. "It's probably easier for me to move in here, honestly. I know you're not exactly comfortable being human sized most of the time. And if I'm being honest, I think you're at your most beautiful when you tower over me. Why would I deprive myself of such statuesque magnificence?"

"Oh nonsense. Your presence here here would really liven up the place." said the sphinx as the two parted lips. While she didn't want to make it visibly obvious, part of her was relieved when Daenmor seemed intent on moving in with her. As he said, it would be easier on her to maintain her size and grandeur here than in a cramped apartment.

"And I appropriate your honesty, I am at my best when I tower tall. But it can get tiring at times looking down at you... it is nice to have you like this were I can look at you at equal height. As well as having a little bit more for my hands to hold onto." mused Ankh as her hands cup over Daenmor's gluts for moment before the slide up to the back of his pelvis.

After she had her cheeky moment, she rests her head upon her lover's chest as presses an ear close to listen for his heartbeat. While she closes her eyes and relaxes in his comforting grasp she asks "Since you are so concerned of my comfort, how may I in return make my home more comfortable for you? Some sort of refrigerated room for you to relax in? Some refurbishments that would be to your liking? An addition such as garage? I know you like to work on those cars."

Daenmor jumped just a bit when Ankh grabbed him, grinning wider and nuzzling his face into her neck. "You tease," he said playfully as his own arms slipped tighter around her waist.

He let her head fall to his chest, running his fingers gently through her hair. He didn't really need anything. "Oh nah," he said after a moment. "I'm a simple guy. You're the only fancy thing I need. Though a garage might be nice. Not a lot of cars on the island, but I could probably manage one. Give me something to do in my off time."

Daenmor kissed the back of Ankh's head, giving her a squeeze of appreciation. "What about you? Do you need me to do anything to get ready for us moving in together? I can help get the garage set up, at the very least."

"A simple guy with exquisite taste in women." said the mighty sphinx with an added chuckle "As for me, I will have all that I will need now that you will be here."

Ankh continued to rest her head on Daenmor's chest like pillow as each held onto the other. She wonder how this lonely sphinx whom wanted nothing but continue her age long duties has found love in such foreign place with such fine specimen of man. Stranger still that she was she was now his fiance and that he was now moving into her home! It made her wonder about what their future will hold.

"The only thing you need to do is bring over what possessions you wish to keep here. We will find a place for them. As for the garage, well how about we walk around and try to figure out where we should have it be set up? We can start with looking around in that mostly empty room across from us and see if there is enough space to fit everything." suggested Ankh as she slowly released herself from Daenmor and points out the mostly empty room she was referring to.
