Private Finished Getting out

Diego literally grimaced, when Aj told him he couldn't drink anything cold anymore. The thought of it made him straight-up uncomfortable.
"Dude, that's just cruel."
Diego said with a small shake of a head, and now he also looked at Aj's coke sadly.
"Coke's the best when it's cold too..."
Diego pulled a similar sad face as Aj, only his was only 70% as a joke. But eventually Diego grinned again and snickered.

"Dang. Oh well, there's always next time."
Diego laughed a bit and took a bite out of his quesadilla. He looked at Aj's coke, leaned closer and stage whispered
"Wait for me, my love"
All dramatically, barely able to keep a straight face.

When Aj commented on the joke Diego had pulled on the guy's coke he broke and started cackling, barely swallowing his last bite of quesadilla on time. Diego took a minute or so to stop, wiping away a laughter tear from his eye.
"Bro, you're a riot."
Diego said with a grin, delighted that Aj was joking back at him. Humour a big part of Diego's personality and interactions, after all.

"You want a moz stick? It's the last one so you can't change your mind later!"
Diego offered and pushed the little paper boat where the moz sticks were towards Aj. There was just one left. It hurt Diego's heart to think of giving up precious food, but Aj had proven himself to be a good guy and Diego kinda wanted to be his friend. Giving food to someone was a big gesture for Diego, though Aj didn't know that.
"Also what class do you got next? I've got art, if your class is close to the art rooms we can totally walk part the way together!"

Diego let out a fake scandalized gasp when Aj turned down his food offering, and he looked at Aj with feigned shock.
"You won't accept my food? Cold, so cold..."
Diego said with a slow head shake, every word and gesture was exaggerated so it was clearer than day that Diego was joking.
"But oh well, more for me!"
Diego said cheerily, suddenly shedding all the dramatics. He grabbed the moz stick and ate it with good appetite, enjoying the cheesy goodness.

"You will? Awesome!"
Diego smiled and ate the last piece of his quesadilla, washing it down with the last of his coke.
"Then when you're done let's go~"

They were both done, it seemed, and when Aj started collecting his things to did Diego. Diego had only bought the mozzarella sticks so all he had to do was throw away the paper boat and empty coke bottle, the container that had housed the quesadillas and carrot sticks went into his bag.

"Imma wait over at the exit."
Diego said and floated away over the crowd. And once he met up with Aj at the exit the two boys walked most of the way together. Diego chattered on about this and that, telling Aj about the art project he'd been working on, and when they parted in front of the art rooms Diego was in fantastic mood, ready to work on some art.
