This is a new variety of contest, one built based on suggestions from our previous Contest Survey responses! It's a contest in three parts, with part two starting on July 1st, and part three starting on July 21st. In this contest, you'll be suggesting alternate universes which will then be used for an AU contest, where people will design characters for that universe!
What Kind of Contest is This?
In this contest you are tasked with suggesting alternate universes which will then be used for later contests. Universes should be distinct from SA's own universe, and provide an interesting base for people to build off of. The AU doesn't need to be complex, and generally should not be. If someone has to read multiple paragraphs to understand the universe, it's too complex. On the other hand, please don't make them too specific either. If the topic is one that isn't broad enough for most of the site to participate in, it probably is too specific.
How Do I Enter?
No form for this contest! Send your suggestions to Romi directly, sending it via the conversation function. Anyone can enter as long as they have at least one accepted character (if you're accepted during the contest period, that's fine), but since mods will be doing the judging, mods cannot win.
Players can submit up to three AUs.
The recommended format is a 'title' with a summary paragraph giving an example of what you mean. For example:
Zombie AU
Post apocolyptic, the world is over and everyone's a zombie now... except your characters. This could have powers, or it could not have powers, but either way it's a recipe for some top class angst. Who survived? Who doesn't? What kind of life do people make for themselves in the wasteland?

Any Other Restrictions?
Please don't use any copy written material in your suggestions. No "Harry Potter AU" or "Lord of the Rings AU".
Zombies and Soulmate AUs have already been used in the past and are not valid suggestions.
