Garden Playtime

After an absolutely boring time in the Admissions office, the third year college student stepped out and took in a breath of air. The day was bright and slightly warm, despite a cold breeze that occasionally found it's way to the island. Aislin Finley, a short haired student was ready to continue her studies at what she called home for the past three years. Her real home was off on a vineyard in Ireland, but she wasn't counting that at the moment. For now, she just wanted to walk and take in the sites of her campus.

The courtyard was busy, as usual. Students fluttered around the area, chatting with groups of friends and studying under tree shades. Some joined groups in the small fields to play Frisbee and catch. As she walked, a small shadow caught her eye. It bounced along the tree trunks and disappeared in the shade. Aislin smirked a little and shook her head and she chased after it.

"Ailill! What are you doing? You know I hate when you disappear like this!" She called out, chasing it into the garden area of the court yard.

Aislin stopped near a patch of lilies and put her hand on her hips. She pursed her lips as she looked around the area for any unusual shadow. Just then, she noticed a tiny tree had a few too many shadows. She pointed at Ailill and laughed as she dashed foward. Ailill made a gasping motion and rushed off toward her next hide out.

"Come on Ailill! Let's just sit and rest for a while! It's such a beautiful day out!" She called, stopping at a near by bench.
Ailill sighed lightly and returned to Aislin's feet, "I can't help myself... Being a shadow is sooo boring."
"Well, let's just relax. It's a beautiful day... we haven't been on campus for a while. So, let's just take in the sun?"

As the sun peered down over the gardens, Aislin rested on a stone bench. Her shadow was just opposite her, pacing back and forth. Ailill was always very impatient, wanting to move or do something. At least she was a big help in the kitchen. Aislin opened one eye and stared at her shadow for a moment before smirking and shaking her head. Just like a child waiting for her mother, Ailill looked up at her and made an excited gesture, as if asking if she was ready to leave. Aislin sighed and nodded, standing to her feet.

All of a sudden, however, Ailill froze in place, her head snapped in another direction. At first she was confident, moving forward along the ground as if protecting Aislin. However, getting closer only made her want to move back. And that's what she did. She moved behind Aislin and pointed into the trees. Aislin raised a brow and looked off into the trees, only seeing a black mist.

"Fog?" She asked, mostly to herself, "No... that's not fog. Another student, maybe? A very... dark student?"
"I don't know... he has a strange aura. Don't go near him, Lin..." Ailill spoke up, "I don't trust it."

Of course, however, when you tell Aislin not to do something, it only makes her more curious. And so, she moved forward, toward the man in black mist. As she got closer, she could make out a form. She leaned a little, trying to get a better view before finally calling out.

"Hey. You uh... you gunna show your face? Or just creep in the darkness, eh?"
