Private Fungus among us

"Funny. If I see something I want to do I just do it too! But its not always to make people laugh like you." Myca chirped back as she wove her way through various branches.

Most definitely they had to have gone in at least a couple circles but just when it might have seemed like she was lost... there it was. A huge, well still pretty small for someone of non-sprite size but still impressive, series of fungal mounds stood before them. Some in hues of lighter blue that match myca's but also a variety of other fun colors brightly displaying the inherent fae magic in the area. Naturally most of the mushrooms had a healthy (or unhealthy) dusting of snow white fuzz and spots.

And each and every mound had a myriad of little doorways and windows grown into them. Dozens of other sprites buzzed around as they went about their business

"Ta-da!" Myca shouted out in her tiny enthusiastic voice and twirled in the air like a dancer. With a flick of her wrist she displayed her staff and utterly blasted the whole area with uncomfortably bright light. "Hey EVERYONE, I found a huuge mushroom person to come say hi!"

An outburst which immediately drew the attention and curiosity of quite a few sprites- who zoomed in to inspect Champie.

A veritable buzzing chorus of tiny voices called out as there was suddenly a chaotic flurry of activity. Some called out in greeting to Champie or Myca, some laughed and joked and jostled and played in the air, and some simply called out to others to draw even more attention. Still others remained ad they were, occupied with their own business or lounging amongst the fungi.

It was honestly a lot to take in. Probably more than any one person should be expected to deal with at once. But such was the life of a colony of fiercely free spirited sprites.

Eventually, after laughing her butt off at the spectacle for a bit, Myca shooed some of the more inquisitive sprites away from Champie's face and hovered around to keep at least a little bubble of personal space for the golem.

"Isn't this place great? You're mushrooms too so I bet you can be an honorary member even if you're not a sprite!" She seemed to vibrate with enthusiasm and excitement before pausing.

"Well... maybe I should make sure the others agree first. I'm getting too far ahead of myself."

"Of course it's pretty! We're a magical colony of adorable sprites in the prettiest and bestest mushrooms around!"

Myca laughed and patted Champie on the shoulder, although given the size difference that was more of a visual gesture than anything truly impactful. "Give us... a couple minutes. Don't let anyone lead you anywhere until I get back"

Leave it to some of the more tricky sprites to lead Champie into trouble while she was busy. No way was she gonna let that happen to her new friend.

The sprite fluttered off to the side into what was rapidly turning into a large cluster of sprites all talking at once. Like a swarming beehive of tiny high pitched voices laughing and yelling and nearly entirely unintelligible to anyone who wasn't used to such a cacophonous caucus.

Sure enough, after a few loud moments, the cluster exploded out into various directions as the sprites went back to doing what they wanted to. And Myca returned to Champie's face with a cheer. "Ok! You can live here as long as you keep the spot a secret and don't break anything!"

"Oh! Of course I can, silly." Myca laughed and swirled her tiny staff around before pointing it at Champie. There was a faint pulse in the glowing top of her staff and then suddenly the golem was shrunken down to match the sprites around them.

"Ta-daa! Perfect social size. Now you won't need a giant pool for a teacup and nobody'll forget you're not just funny scenery." She landed next to the golem and grinned as she put away the staff. "You can't really get to the high spots without wings but that's OK. How's it feel being not-ginormous?"
