He was right. Most people she had seen with animal based mutations, had colors and patterns that directly related to their natural hair color. Even her own white scales with red pattern was, in her own mind, a reflection of her pink hair. She reached out while he spoke, touching her fingers gently to the furry tail. Normally there were rules with such things, one of which was do not touch a tail without permission. Aylin however was so used to getting touched, stepped on, probed and even pinched that she often forgot that rule about touching.

"I was new here once too. It's rough getting set up and comfortable." her own arrival was different than his she had been alone with no memory, and was younger than he was. But the feeling's of loneliness were the same. "Don't worry. you've always got at least a friend in me."

As soon as his tail was touched, a tingling feeling raced up Sean's spine. "I'm really happy to hear you say that. That reminds me, you mentioned having fun, but you didn't specify how. Anything specific that you'd like to do today?" Sean was becoming more nervous by the second. On one hand, having his tail touched unexpectedly was something that he wasn't exactly familiar with. On the other hand, he wasn't exactly complaining. "Oh, um, by the way, did you really think the pork was good?" Once again, Sean's face began to redden. "I mean, I can make more next time, if you'd like."

There was nothing specific she had in mind for the day. Playing in the water, laying on the sand, and enjoying Sean's company was all She had thought about up until now. "That all depends. I mean If you don't have to leave early id love to watch the stars later on." She had no idea what he had planned, aside from eating out, and enjoying the sun, but if he were interested she always enjoyed the stars, so staying out late was a great idea in her books.

He had also asked about the pork, which caused her to giggle again. 'yes it was. it was juicy and tasty. I'd love if you made more for next time.' She was easy to please with food, as long as it was meat she could eat it, but his pork recipe was actually really good, and had left a pleasant taste in her mouth. She could definitely enjoy more.

Aylin had also begun to absent mindedly begun to stroke the soft fur of Sean's tail. it was soft and full like what she would have expected it to be.

"Thanks.....um....Aylin, this seems like kind of a public place. I mean, i'm not really asking you not to do what you're doing. It's just, well, this doesn't seem like the place to be doing it." Sean's face was about as red as it could get without giving off radiation. Having his tail stroked was sort of stimulating, and he was kind of shy about that sort of thing. He was far from showing the slightest interest in exhibitionism. "I mean, I like you, but maybe we should wait until we get to the beach. Maybe somewhere that people won't see, or judge us. Speaking of which, shouldn't we be pretty close by now?" Sean wasn't trying to turn Aylin off, he simply wasn't one for certain things, and in certain matters, he was somewhat of a traditionalist. "Oh, and I'd love to stay and watch the stars with you. Sounds like a lot of fun."

Suddenly it clicked in what Aylin may have been doing here. She knew her own tail was very sensitive, and she wasn't keen on people just randomly touching it like what she was doing now with his. "Oh geez. Im sorry. I wasn't trying to.. I mean.. I just ... It's really soft and really nice and I like it." She had begun to blush a deep scarlet now as a feeling of embarrassment swept over her. She had lost herself in the moment and made a mistake. granted it was not a terrible one, but it was one that could be a problem.

In a swift change of subject she cast a look over her shoulder out the windows to see where they were. She had used this tram before and was familiar with it's route. The downtown core had just been left, meaning that Sean was right, they were only 5 or 6 minutes or so so away from the beach stop. "Your right. Were not far off now. It should be the next stop." She said with a smile turning back to face him. Everything would be easier once they got out off the Tram which had become a little more crowded.

"Oh no, I didn't really mind it, just that there's a lot of people around. You know, I'd love to hear a bit more about your life before the academy. Personally, my story is sort of boring. Do you have any relatives here?"

Sean liked to listen to other people. It meant that he didn't have to do much talking himself. He wasn't exactly good at talking to others, and he was running out of things to say that others might be able to understand.

"For example, what was your favorite thing to eat growing up? I might be able to make it for you, or we could make it together some time."

Her own story was pretty simple. She woke up one day and she was here. She was lost and confused but welcomed with open arms and give a place to stay. Everything after that was simple, school, and work. Nothing more. Most people expected her to have some dramatic story of being chased by angry mobs and fighting for her life. In truth she was just a girl. As for family, Nothing here. Nothing at all i\for that matter. Nothing that she knew of anyways.

"There isn't much there. I can't really remember anything before 11th grade. I kinda just woke up one day and was here. I stayed at the Academy most of my life that I know. I mean now I have my own place but I still study so yeah." She hesitated a moment choosing her words to answer about family. She was ok with having no one, or at least had come to terms with it. But speaking about it was difficult. "I'm... I'm alone here." That was really all she could say on the subject.

"As long I've been here I like to eat meats. If I eat too much of other things I actually can get pretty sick. Eggs are great though too." In many ways her diet wasn't very exciting, and her lack of taste allowed her to fully appreciate anything else. "How about you? What do you like to eat?"

When she stated that she was alone here, Sean was compelled to, and acted on the compulsion to hug Aylin.

"I'm sorry, it was insensitive of me to ask such a thing."

He had never been so impulsive in all his life, yet something about Aylin made him act differently than usual. After realizing that he had hugged someone without asking first, he quickly separated himself from her.

[sub]"Sorry, I don't normally hug without permission. It's just that you seemed like you could use one, and I like to help people....and I want you to know that you don't have to be alone anymore."[/sub]

Focusing back on the food, Sean recalled being asked what his favorite food was growing up.

"Well, I guess I'll have to make you some Hagus some day."
