Despite their fumble, Cyril still felt pretty confident in landing that after being a bit rusty. Ice skating for them was exceptionally difficult, since Cyril’s center of balance was always off and they had the extra weight. Still, because people told them often that they couldn’t do certain things, they had the incentive to always go higher.
”Thanks.” Cyril said, confidently. But of course, it was then Azu’s turn. Instead of going with a dangerous jump, she instead looped the twins elegantly, matching her grace with her speed. Even though theoretically, he could try to top it, Cyril didn’t want to strain his brother any further. Though Lyric didn’t often visually express discomfort, Cyril’s twintuition told him it was time to stop.
”Alright alright, you win.” Cyril said, impressed audibly but also a bit bummed he couldn’t go further. Story of his life, really. ”You’re really good. If only the school did actual sports teams. They could probably coach you to go onto the Olympics.” He was sincere, for once. ”You know, being a normal or whatever, I always thought physical feats you had to train for are so much more impressive than waving around magic.”
Lyric looked up, still steadying himself by clinging onto Cyril’s shoulder. ”Yeah Azu, that was really great. We haven’t done that in awhile, I’m surprised Cyril could keep up.”
