She couldn’t believe they had sent her here by herself! No horses to ride, no gymnastics teacher, no fluffy canopy bed! It just wasn’t fair! They acted like it was her fault all of this happened! A cold, nauseous feeling swept over her and tears pricked her eyes. No I certainly will not cry in front of that bitch, she thought crudely. She had decided to hate the secretary who was eyeing her now and again from behind her desk. I mean the nerve of the woman to think that she should have to do all this paperwork herself. In truth, the woman was being perfectly nice and really had no idea that she had even offended the young lady.

Her only crime was handing her a clipboard and making sure that she was comfortable and situated. The offensive paperwork was, in truth, very basic, very simple forms since her family had done most of the paperwork and sent it in long ago. Cassandra just didn’t want to be here. She didn’t want to fill out this stupid stuff and she didn’t want to sit in this stupid hard chair. She kept trying to find distractions, watching people that pass by and maybe flashing a quick smile to some of the young men. She looked down at the paperwork. Why did they need to know all this personal stuff about her anyway. She hated this school already. She didn’t want to explain her ‘power’ to this sheet of paper. She just wanted to forget about it!

But alas, she would be forced to deal with it here, since no one wanted her any more. That same sickening feeling hit her and she shuttered. She suddenly realized how much this paperwork was upsetting her.
I shouldn’t have to tell them about it. It’s none of their business.
She wanted to cry. She set down the paperwork and the pen and stared at it, stroking the edge of the paper absentmindedly with her pointer finger. The secretary looked over at her. “Miss Cassanda, honey, are you all set?” the woman asked her kindly. What a bitch. The little lady swallowed her sadness and straightened up. “Ah! Oh! Um…” She stuttered, turning a bit red under the layers of BB cream. “No.” she spat out suddenly, looking away.

The secretary just smiled, speaking softly to the young lady. “Take your time sweety”.

Cassandra felt anger well up inside of her. She felt misunderstood by the woman, rushed, pressured, exasperated. She hated her! She was clearly mocking her. Under her layers of anger Cassandra was surprisingly aware of how silly she was being, but right now she didn’t really care. She was just so scared and uncomfortable; it felt good to blame this poor kindly lady. She shifted around in her chair again and set the clipboard on her lap, looking down at it with her hair falling over the sides of her face. She just needed to get this over with then she could go somewhere else! But still she found herself looking for anything to distract herself from the question that loomed on the paperwork: "In your own words: please define your special ability".

Zachary stepped into the office, this time during regular hours. He had all the paperwork he needed now and it wasn't like they were going to force him to remember everything he had ever done since ever. Still, it was disconcerting that this was now the third time he had been here and there was nothing they could do about helping him during the night time or just letting him mail the forms. To make matters worse he was being forced to fill out yet another paper and all he wanted to do was get out and start taking classes by this point.

"Hello sir, how can I help you?" The woman at the reception desk asked.
"... Okay this is your third time seeing me in here, we've met. Here are my papers now can I please just have the remaining forms so I can fill them out and get this show on the road." He said, starting to let the rage boil up in him. He was Adren now and that meant he was supposed to have slightly better control over his temper but he hadn't quite gotten past a few of his pet peeves.

"Oh i'm terribly sorry. I didn't mean to offend you. I don't really remember that but I assure you that I didn't mean to lock up with someone right there." She responded. That was when he realized that it had actually been another receptionist and he had just gotten short with someone completely uninvolved with that situation.

"Actually my mistake and um... Yeah you weren't the person here that day. I'll just fill this out and have it right back to you." He said with a charming smile that he usually used when in situations with women in general. With a sigh her turned to sit down, his trench coat swishing behind him as he went to sit down. He chose the chair about a seat away from the girl that was there who appeared to be filling out the same papers and shook his head wishing he could have a cigarette while he filled this out.

After working his way down the page he got to the part asking to detail his power. Never one to avoid being a smart ass, or to avoid work, he simply wrote out 'Werewolf' before heading through the rest of it like a man on a mission. He was tempted to start writing it out in kanji but someone probably would have just translated it thus making it pointless.

Cassandra quietly observed the conversation form a distance, unsure if she was interested in the delinquent-looking young man. She always thought dread locks were dirty and gross and the only people who needed trench coats in this weather were thieves. Her father always told her to stay away from boys like him, but still she poked her head up from her paperwork and watched him make the secretary uncomfortable.

Inwardly, she mocked him for his mistake with the secretary, but didn’t even have the guts to make eye contact or show she was looking at him until he had sat down and began to write. She slowly started to raise her head and peek at him out of the corner of her eye through the long strands of hair that fell over her face. He didn’t seem dirty, but she could smell just a little but of the ever-lingering smell of a smoker, but that only made him more interested. She lifted her head from her papers and slowly began to look at him more obviously, still not turning her head entirely.

The boy was scribbling furiously, but had a uncaring expression and the bad boy vibe was rather prominent. She just couldn’t help but look. She glanced down at his paper, seeing he had the same forum as she did. She used this opportunity to look back down at her paper, sliding her hand casually over the part where it said her age and what year she was in school. She sighed and whispered to him so the secretary couldn’t hear. “Are you new here too? Why do they need to know all this stupid stuff?” Her words seemed perfectly casual, though the girl was clearly somewhat nervous due to being in a new place.

Oh how she hoped he wouldn’t be a jerk to her. She tried to win him over with a sweet smile, her absolute best feature, and tucked a bit of hair behind her hair.

“Are you new here too? Why do they need to know all this stupid stuff?” He heard a female voice next to him ask. He immediately stopped writing and looked at her, fully prepared to start laying on the charm. Then he noticed she was obviously under age and switched to a more practical tone.
"Yes I'm just signing up for college so I'm new. And I would imagine they need to know this because if someone came through here with the power to touch people and make them die we'd want to maybe not shake hands with that person." He suggested. In hind sight the commentary was rather lame, not to mention extreme but he figured he'd be polite and flashed a smile as he spoke the next few sentences.

"You're not one of those killer power kids are you? He added with a grin to make it obvious he was joking.
"My name is Zachary by the way. What's yours?" eight years of business practice and dealing the with public had forced him to adopt a certain demeanor when dealing with new people, especially in a public situation excluding bars and private meetings. He was a little curious about the girl, after all any student here could have any power or amalgam of powers. He was even looking forward to experiencing the college atmosphere but helping out some of the younger students didn't seem like such a bad idea to him either.

This guy was definitely a weirdo. Bringing up something like that stirred up a little fear in her, but she was pretty sure he was joking. Pretty sure. The way he worded things threw her off and his hesitation when speaking to her didn’t sit right with her. ‘He is pretty cute though,’ she thought. ‘No,’ she interrupted her own thoughts. ’this guy is super weird. He’s probably a delinquent!’ She was already regretting speaking to this guy.

“Y-yeah… I guess that’s a good reason huh?” She laughed stiffly, looking a little overwhelmed. His question was certainly a weird one. “Uh… No.” She looked back down at her paperwork and started scribbling. She thought she might be able to get away from this weirdo quick, but she was disappointed to see she had a page and a half to go. She quickly answered the question she had been putting off: Detachable Limbs. She wasn’t sure what the boy next to her had wrote for the question, but it couldn’t have been more than a word or two, so she figured she didn’t have to give a big detailed explanation, which was a relief to say the least.

She jumped a little when the boy she now knew as Zachary spoke, using a rather attractive voice. “Oh uh… I’m Cassandra…” she trailed off for a moment before squeaking out another sentence. “It’s really nice to meet you Zachary!”

Zachary wrote out the rest of his paperwork quickly and wordlessly. He didn't mention any of the extraneous details to being Garou but moved on and handed the paperwork in, getting ready to head out the door when he stopped and turned back to Cassandra.
"If you want we can grab some ice cream." He mentioned before turning back to the door. Normally other students hung out with people their own age, but some students formed groups and older students would teach others how to better use their powers... or at least that's how it worked in werewolf sects. It also seemed like new students needed to stick together and the thought of having a protege seemed like fun. That being considered he wasn't sure what her powers were and if it was something like causing static cling she wasn't going to be able to use them most likely for combat.

Then he snapped back to reality, all he had done was ask her if she wanted to get some ice cream. And for all he knew his appearance and mannerisms could scare people, especially younger students.
"Um.. only if you want to." He offered.

Finally! Cassandra looked down at the paperwork with a sigh, crossing the last t and dotting the last i of her girly handwriting. She smiled at the paperwork. Not so bad after all! Suddenly she noticed the boy next to her wasn’t where he was just a second ago! She could have sworn he teleported to the counter, and suddenly he was leaving! She realized she was staring, wide-eyed, and snapped back to reality, shaking her head just as he posed his question. Her face fell. Oh my god that was so rude! She thought, her stomach sinking. She jumped up, on her feet as quick as lightening. “Oh! Yeah! Sorry yes! Sure!”

She scuttled to the desk, dropping her papers and turning gracefully on her heel to march behind him. “Oh no no! Of course I do!” Wait did she really want to go? Her stomach sank. She forgot in her excitement how much of a weirdo this guy was. At least he was handsome, and nice, she thought wearily. She would have to meet with her mentor later but she still had a few hours to kill, so if she didn’t agree to tag along she would probably just be wandering around lost until then. “I mean, I have to be in the courtyard in a few hours to meet someone though, but I’m free until then,” she assured him with renewed interest. At least she wouldn’t be the loser sitting around by herself for hours on end.

Zachary smiled and headed out the door, assuming Cassandra was in tow. Truthfully he had no idea where to go for ice cream but that was what the social application on his phone was for.
"That will be fine, I'll give you a ride there if you don't feel like walking." He offered. Then he thought back to his dreadlocks. He had grown them to help with training because they helped him track the circular movements and measure the distance to the ground. Now that he had mastered the Houzuki Ryu he no longer needed to have them, but couldn't find a way to justify cutting them off just yet. He shrugged mentally and continued on. When they got to his car, a 2013 Fiat Abarth, he opened the door and tossed his trench coat in.

If he was going out in public he wanted to be at least semi professional, and threw on a nicer black velvet, waist length coat which he grabbed from his trunk quickly before getting to the other side to open the door for Cassandra.
"Any particular favorite flavor of ice cream." He asked as he got in the driver side.

She followed after the boy. As he towered over her tiny, frail form she wondered if she had made the right decision. After all, she didn’t know anyone at all here, and if he was like super evil or something no one would go looking for her if she ended up in a ditch somewhere. She tried to look over his shoulder, but at 5’1 there was no way she was seeing anything but perhaps his torso.

“Oh… Okay” she squeaked in response to his inquiry, her nervousness becoming apparent. She could see the edge of his face and he seemed to be lost in deep thought. He was so intimidating. She didn’t have much time to think, however, since they arrived at the car in to time at all. She looked around. Surely this wasn’t his car? But sure enough he opened the door. Hey, it wasn’t a convertible or a viper or something, but it sure was expensive and therefore cool.

She had made the right decision. He must be cool if he’s rich like this.

“So uh… Do you parents make a lot of money or do you have a job or something?” She smiled up at him sweetly, most of her fear forgotten. Her smile faltered as he grabbed a velvet jacket from his car. Definitely a super weird sense of style, she though, but he seems kinda nice… She moved to the opposite side of his car, grinning when he opened the passenger side door for her. “Hmm… I guess I like Blue Moon the best. What flavor do you like?” She conversation seemed forced. She needed to think of something else to say. “So what kinda stuff do you normally do around here?” she chimed happily, waiting patiently for him to enter the car before shutting the door. After all, she didn’t want to cut him off.

He laughed when she asked about his parents making money or if he had a job and smiled just a little.
"I'm an executive in charge of business and special operations for a multinational conglomerate based in Tokyo, Japan and Destrudo, Nevada." He explained, though it would probably leave questions such as why he was dressed the way he was and how he could have a position like that with dred locks.

“So what kinda stuff do you normally do around here?” She asked. He paused at the question but decided to answer honestly even though it might not help his image.

"I work out at home a lot and I'm something of a martial artist. Besides that I meditate and I'm probably going to be studying ridiculous amounts of text here pretty soon as a hobby." He explained, starting the car and drove forward, heading towards the ice cream parlor. At first he considered getting new clothes but they would just get shredded if he was forced to transform for whatever reason, at least until he could treat them. Besides they were on a time constraint.

"what do you do for fun? I don't know of much to do around here since I just arrived maybe a week ago, but I have a pretty good amount of free time at the moment.
