Alice Mordrake hated her dorm. In her eyes, it was a tiny, dirty, filthy place fit only for cockroaches and mice. The bed-sheets where made of "itchy, low-grade, cheap fabric" likely "treated with toxic chemicals" to her. The furniture was "poorly-constructed, hard and uncomfortable." The whole place was "unbearably small...like living in the bathroom of a WWII submarine." That's what Alice thought of it, anyway. In actuality, her dorm was quite -nice-. It was clean, well-kept, comfortable and was even one of the few to actually have a full bathroom. However, to a girl as privileged, spoiled and overindulged as miss Mordrake anything less then a mansion may as well be a grass hut. She was used to luxury, and the school forcing her to live with less for a grand total of five weeks was utter torture.
Only her roomate Soren made it livable for her. Soren was good company, that much was for certain. The boy was one of the few people Alice could hold a proper conversation with, and he even shared her love of technology! However, despite the good fortune of being paired with a ideal roommate, Alice could still not help but want out of that "tiny, dirty, low-class dungeon" of a room. Soren was off doing -whatever- it is he did when they weren't hacking computers or talking business, and Alice had decided to sneak up to the rooftops just to get out of that "terrible" dorm.
She sat totally alone, dangling her legs over the edge of the roof as they swayed back and forth with joyous energy. Her long blond hair fluttered slightly in the afternoon breeze as her amber eyes intently read the pages of the manga held in her delicate hands. Why can't Naruto be more like this? Alice thought to herself as she took in the latest chapter of Shingeki no Kyojin. Indeed, her manga, anime and videogames where some of the only things keeping her sane. Running a multi-planar empire, after all, was trying work. Between minion mishaps, rebellious systems, tratiors within and her pet projects here at Starlight Academy on top of all that, Alice used these things as her means of escape....even if it was only temporary.
Of course, all of the stuff she did would work out in the end. It was all one big game for her...a game that she would most certainly win. After all, if anybody should rule the multiverse...it should be her! Or at least, thats what Alice believed. However, right now, she was just glad to be engrossed with her manga and away from that "nasty, awful" dorm. However, little did she know she would soon have unexpected company.
