Before I start, I would first like to say, that if you have any questions about ANYTHING, please first read this. If it doesn't answer your question, then please post in the Questions and Comments thread; a staff member or a regular member will be able to answer you. You can also PM a staff member if you want to.
If you need any help with anything, like I just stated above, please don't hesitate to ask for help. Everyone on this site is friendly, and we'll help you if you need it.

Q 1. What is the plot of this board?
A 1. Here is the plot thread.
Q 2. What is this board rated?
A 1. This board is rated PG-13, check the rules for more information.
Q 3. I'm not a very good role player. Can I join this site?
A 3. Of course! All role players all allowed to join this site, whether they be beginners, advanced, or somewhere in the middle. We were all beginners once, and we understand if people can't make five paragraph posts. Not even I can do that a lot, so I completely understand. No one will be asked to leave this board if they haven't been role playing long, or aren't very good at it. Just follow the rules, ask for help if you need it, and all should be fine.
Q 4. How do I become a mod?
A 4. Mods here at MCI will not be just chosen randomly. We will not choose our friends, just because they are our friends — the staff will decide on who should be a mod by the way one behaves, if they follow the rules, know the rules, are mature, helpful, etc. Basically, the helpful, friendly, responsible members will become part of the staff when it is needed.
Q 5. I have a problem with another member/I am being harassed off-site/a staff member is being abusive. what should I do?
A 5. There are a few ways to go about this. Either talk with them privately, or ask a staff member to handle the situation with you. Harassment on or off site is a serious offense and we do not tolerate that kind of uncomfortable atmosphere here. If any staff member starts to abuse their power, or starts doing things unfairly, please contact me. I will take care of it.
Q 6. Someone broke the rules, no staff members are online. What should I do?
A 6. Depending on the offense, please either PM a staff member (even if they aren't online) or be polite enough to tell the person what they did. Please include information in the PM such as screenshots and chat logs so that you have evidence to back up your claim.
Q 7. How should I role play here?
A 7. Here on MCI, we do third person, past tense role playing. First and second person are not allowed here, and it makes it confusing when people keep switching tenses between the two.
Q 8. Where can I find the rules?
A 8. Right here in this forum.
Q 9. What are the rules on advertising?
A 9. I don't have a problem with advertising. There is a forum made for you to post site links, and you can do so.
Q 10. Why doesn't my post count go up in the OOC forums?
A 10. It doesn't go up because they aren't IC forums. This is a role playing forum, and that's what I want the board to be used for; role playing, and of course having fun. The OOC forums are there only because I think they're fun to use.
Q 11. What are the rules on cursing?
A 11. Check the rules, it's the first one.
Q 12. What happened to all the topics?! This isn't a new board, it's been around for a while. What happened to everything?
A 12. This board has been up since July 10, 2005, and I took it offline for a while due to inactivity. However, I brought it back and decided to restart everything with a few other people's, help. Everything has been moved to an archive forum that only members can see. This board is basically starting over. If you want a character back or a certain topic, PM a staff member or post and we'll do our best to search for it. If we can't find it, though, we apologize; some things were accidentally deleted.
Q 13. Is there a limit on how many characters that I can have?
A 13. No there isn't. Have as many as you want. You can keep them all on one count or have separate accounts, it doesn't matter to me.
Q 14. How far are we allowed to go with our girlfriends/boyfriends?
A 14. We are a PG-13 website, so while we allow intimacy to be acknowledged we do not accept explicit sexual scenes in the forums. Please use PM's or other methods if you wish to do so. Check the rules for more information.
Q 15. Are we allowed to role play in more than one place with one character at the same time?
A 15. Yes, that's perfectly fine. I know that it can get boring waiting for someone to reply to a topic, so you can be in more than one at the same time, even if you use the same character for both topics. We have liquid time here.
More questions and answers will be added as time goes on.
