Private Finished Freeloading with a Buddy

From Jackie's once over, there wasn't anything else she could detect wrong with it. Just a little extra cleaning once the new capacitor's set and she'd be ready to give it a little test drive. "'Holy' huh? Well if that means you're a lot more approachable than you would have been, then I guess all for the better." She waved her hand dismissively. "There were a few stuck-up angels in my time. Forgive the tiny bias." She turned towards Orogo. "I see. But are you all the same element, or are you guys a guardian of the elements style with each having different domains?"

"Whoa. I mean, I guess a big plus for that happening would be you can safely date vampires and demons. And without worrying if its your red day, eh?" With a cheeky grin she fired off some finger guns before slowly assembling her deck with the finesse of an amateur mechanic and the confidence of an F1 pit stop worker. She was careful of course, knowing fully that the deck was built for rough handling. "Hmm, I see, you've got a thing for serpents, don't you, Bas?" She scurried over to a free socket and plugged the deck in. She pushed the power and the deck lit up. "Okay, looking good." She sat back down and flicked a few of the switches and tested the launchpad she mounted onto it. "Nice! Amazing! Perfect! Bri-Bri-Bri-Brilliant! Yeaaaahhhh!" came the sounds of different voices sampled and programmed into the device. With a wide grin, she looked at Bastet. "It's perfect." She flicked some more switches over and the buttons now played synthetic sounds that were prominent in her music. Another combination and it played piano sounds. "Everything seems to be in order. The levels work as they should, the buttons flash as programmed, and the sound packs are all intact. Which means problem solved!" "Wah hoo!"

"Just a hunch," she'd coyly say. Bastet wasn't hiding the fact that she was looking at Jackie's body, and the naga just grinned. Yeah, she had that effect on people. "You have to let me know when you can turn into a danger noodle so I can teach you the most important things any serpentine-bodied individual should know." She turned off the deck and unplugged it. "Oh yeah, now that this thing's back in operation, want to go with me to the club downtown this Friday? Got a gig there, and I'm kind of trying to avoid a regular there, and with you acting as my date, he might stay at bay, at least for the night."

She grinned and gave them a thumbs up. "I knew you guys wouldn't let me down! Alright, it's a date then! I'll come over around 7-ish. Eat light. Just enough to last a few hours because they'll be having a buffet backstage, and they never skimp on that, especially since the owner has a special friend coming for a visit. Oh, and you didn't hear that from me." Jackie winked and did a final look-around for anything she might have forgot to plop back into the deck. "Wait, that makes me wonder, do you and your brothers eat, Orogo?"

"I get it, Bastet's like a battery for you guys then. I thought as much, kind of like the majority of the witches' familiars. Or, well, the ones I know from DCA at least. "Well anyway, don't be shy in helping yourself with the food and drinks then." Jackie tucked her deck under her arm and stood up. "Well, I suppose I'll get going now. Don't want to distract you with your own repair job. Oh and I'm sure I've said this before, but feel free to drop by my room if you guys want to hang. No need to call ahead of time either."
