"No, I wouldn't send you away," he'd say, shaking his head. "Even if I didn't want to bond, I'd still want you around," she was his mom's friend, probably the closest friend she'd ever hand. "My mom....she never told me anything about her past.....except for you, she said you'd always been by her side."

In a way she'd known his mother better than he'd known her. "I want to know about this bond thing," he was guessing it was magical in nature. "Will we be magically connected."

He'd sit on the boulder he'd been leaning against. "And....and later you can tell me about you and my mother....but first...the bond."

He'd listen as she explained the nature of the bond, and then he'd watch her shift. He'd seen swords before, seen enchanted ones, but he'd never seen one quite like this. The dragon would take a step forward, his blue looking over the enchanted weapon, "amazing."

"My mom's experience and memories," he'd say quietly, thinking over the bond and everything that came with it. Reaching out he'd run the tips of his fingers over the hilt. The memories, the experience, his mother's legacy, all the answers and a partnership with Glade.

The young dragon would take a breath, and he'd grab the hilt. He felt the bond form, the tingle of magic connecting them, he could hear her thoughts, sense her emotions. Then the memories kicked in, he saw flashes from his mom's perspective, training with Glade, then to their first battle. He saw blades clashing he hurt screaming, saw blood.

He'd hold his head, his breathing getting heavier, it was a lot and it wasn't all pleasant. Finally the flashes of memories faded and he was in the present, he'd take a big breath. Looking down at the sword he'd pull it from the dirt, holding it up to examine. "That was....something...," he'd adjusting his foot, his legs feeling a tiny bit weak.

He'd actually jump a bit when the voice popped into his head. "That's....going to need getting used to," he did have animal based telepathy, but having someone always connected to his mind was different. "So you'll always be able to hear my thoughts and feel my emotions and vice versa?"

"I'm fine," he'd say, though it was hard to say right then, "there was....it was just a lor." He'd look at the hilt, feeling as it changed to perfectly fit his had. "Guessing you don't recommend taking it all in at once.....," it was tempting, all that knowledge, all that skill.

Taking a breath he'd swing the sword a few times, already he could feel a difference in his posture in the way he held the blade. "It feels good....maybe you were worrying to much." He was a confident young dragon, but a part of him knew that he should listen to the elder being.

He'd hum in thought, taking a few more swings of the blade. ""Your sword form, its different than any sword I've ever seen," he'd bring the blade close, examining the material, running his fingers over the flat of the blade. "It's.....is it not metal at all?"

The dragon would lean the flat of the blade against his shoulder. "Well....looks like were stuck with each other," he'd say with a chuckle.

Eein would lean the sword against a tree, letting her shift back to humanoid if she wished. "Well you'll need to meet my family.....the ice dragon side that is, and then there's the giant tree."

"I'll tell them first," he believed preparing them might be a good idea. "Hmm....I'll take you to the sparring club I'm a part of two, see if any of the sword users will want to spar with me now," he'd say with a chuckle.

Then a thought occured to me. "Wait....where do you live?" he'd ask. "Do you have a place in town?" He assumed that the government had apartments set aside for newcomers.

"And do you have a phone?" he'd ask. "I know we have a mental link but having your number would be handy.
