Another day another disappointment. Samuel shivered as he stepped out into the open air and bundled up. Recently he had begun to notice that his single jacket was not enough to deal with the progressively lowering temperature that seemed to permeate through all of the Manta Carlos island. While he was sure that there would be those on this island that could go out into this temperature in a tee shirt and shorts, he definitely and sadly could not count himself among them.
Samuel had just finished a later class that detailed itself and focused on the nuances of magical contracts and wishes when concerned with powerful entities like Djinni or summoned beings with malicious intent and he had found that with each passing hour the lecture turned from something that could be interesting and fun to the equivalent speech of a Charlie Brown adult. He had become lost after a while and just decided to give up and zone out, pondering something else that plagued his mind. The constant theme that seemed to drive his every academic move. His mother.
Eventually, the class was dismissed and he ushered himself out quickly, pushing towards an open area outside the class building that he was currently in. He managed to exit into the outside and caught a glimpse of someone he had remembered meeting in the M3C. Standing seeming to be waiting to be picked up, she was an interesting Demon of the Goetic nature. While she had not promised anything, she had revealed an interesting practical application of disruption of a demonic hierarchy, or at least, that’s what he understood from his brief talk with her.
That being said Samuel could not let this, what he considered, stroke of luck pass him by. He had to lightly press her to see if he could maybe learn more. So instead of beelining to his home, he made his way to her.
Sam tapped her on the shoulder lightly and smiled brightly.
“Uh, Hi! Violet right? I remembered seeing you the other day so I thought to say hi!”
