Ah food, something that anyone can love. As Claire entered the room, she smiled a bit at the welcoming scent of different food. What would she get? It was around supper time for her, so maybe something around that? She wasn't sure, nor was it important. As she walked to the semi filled line, she looked around at the people in the room.

All of the different types of people, with different personalities and powers, it was a bit crazy in a way to her. That she had only met a few people, and liked even less of them, and still there were more people to meet. Claire looked up cautiously at the menu above her, thinking about what would be good. She quickly looked back, seeing if there was anyone behind her, and to her surprise, there wasn't. As the line got smaller, she was still contemplating as to what she wanted to get. Soup? Salad? Meat? Claire shook her head, thinking as to how stupid it was that she didn't know what she wanted to eat. Pizza. Claire nodded to herself, and waited for the rest of the people in front of her to order.

Abigail steps into line behind Claire, keeping her wings folded close to herself so they don't take up too much space in front of the counter. She's not too picky, so she looks at all the different choices closely, staring intently at them like a predator watching its prey. She then turns her head toward Claire and smiles.

"Hi," she says. "What are you having? I can't decide. I mean, I had the ham yesterday so I should probably have something else today." She goes back to looking at the food once more, thinking again.

Claire could now feel someone behind her, but she didn't really turn around, feeling uninterested in the thought. As she got closer, Claire thought of which type of pizza she wanted. Greek. That sounded good. It would be nice to have something not too meaty for once. A few seconds later the person behind her started to talk to her.

To her surprise, it sounded like a girl. She did not turn around though, not until she was done talking to her. At that moment, she half turned to the girl behind her. "Hi." She paused, making sure that she wasn't a threat. "I'm having pizza, Greek pizza." She nodded a bit at the girl. "Did you have anything in mind?"

Abigail shakes her head, looking from Claire to the pizza. "Oh, I see. I guess I'll have that too then," she says cheerfully, half to Claire and half to whoever is handing out the food over the counter. She then looks back at Claire, somewhat curiously.

"Hey, you were new here this year weren't you?" she asks. "I'm surprised we never got a chance to talk. I'm Abigail, but you can call me Abby, or Gale. Because you know... bird... air... wind... gale." She grins. "Pretty clever huh? I think it is."

Claire quickly picked up her food and thanked the person who gave it to her, then quickly waited for the girl she had just met. It was strange to see so many new faces everyday. Seeing her friends though, that was a joy in itself, even if they didn't really have a conversation. It was just nice to know that she had some friends here, people that she could talk to and hang out with. That was something she was still getting used to. "Yeah, I'm new. I came here in November." She paused for a second, making sure she had a good grip on the plate before starting to walk a bit.

She stopped, realizing that the girl was introducing herself. She had a pretty name. Short and sweet as well as a bit unique, or at least that is what she thought. Claire opened her mouth a bit, then paused before asking as to what the girl was talking about. "Is that a reference to a movie or something?" She was not even close to up to date with everything that had happened in the world for a past few years. Because of this, it was most likely that she had no idea what Abigail was talking about. "I'm Claire." She smiled a bit and tilted her head a bit, starting to walk towards an empty table, motioning her to join.

Abby nodded. She was always glad to meet new people, especially those who didn't seem to care so much about her species- which happily, at this school, was most people. She laughs a bit at the idea that her introduction was a movie reference. "Oh, no, it's just something I say sometimes," she says. "Nice to meet you, Claire." She gets her food and starts following Claire toward the table. "You... did notice the wings and claws and stuff right?" she says as she sits down, raising her wings and wiggling her clawed fingers to illustrate. Just making sure!

Claire nodded a bit and smiled. SO it wasn't a reference to a movie? It sure seemed like it. Maybe it was just to compliment her species, whatever her species was. She sat down at the table and took a bite of her pizza, cautiously, not wanting the toppings to fall off. As she thought and listened to the girl, Claire wasn't really sure as to if she had really noticed the wings and other things right off the bat.

Of course, she knew they were there, but it bothered her a little that she hadn't noticed then earlier. "Of course I did. I just don't make a big deal out of it." She paused and looked up. "What are you anyways?" Even though that sounded a bit harsh, she liked it.
