Natasha pursed her lips together at Officer Vatar's pointed question about her own personal safety. She had, in fact, over the last week, started to receive threats... some veiled, others quite obvious.

"Yes, I have... Officer Vatar," she admitted with a sigh as she took a seat at her desk, a tired look on her face.

"They started last weekend, Sunday, I think... " Natasha explained. "First it was just hang-up calls. I thought, at first, it was maybe a wrong number or something, but then I started getting the texts," she said as she opened her purse and dug out her cell phone.

"Here..." she said quietly, trying not to act as unnerved as she felt, though her hand shook a little bit as she handed over her phone so the officers could see the messages in her inbox.

Messages that included warnings and threats. Ones saying she should close the MCSS, others about leaving the island in a silver coffin, and ones that called her a bloodsucking whore.

Vatar took the phone and scrolled through a few of the messages before showing it to Auspex. " These are a lot of messages for just one week...we need to get this information back to the branch." Vatar frowned at some of the wording used in the messages. It was clearly bothering Natasha to even show them to other people so he felt a tinge of anger at the people responsible.

Auspex put on a consoling face as he said " Would you mind if we took this and uploaded the information to our database? The investigators on the case and the technical division might be able to do a lot with it back at base. "

Vatar slid the phone back to Natasha as not to give the impression they would just take the phone without express permission. The law of the world was quickly changing and with the speed at which the island changed the MCPD constantly tried to ensure the populace felt safe.

"Of course you can always come down to the base yourself and submit it. If we can find out the phone that sent the messages we may be able to find the person harassing you and get a lead on the source of the letters."

"Of course, take whatever you need," Natasha replied, grateful that both officers seemed to understand how distressed she really was even though she was trying hard to hide how much it was affecting her.

"Can it wait til this evening to go down and report it? I'd like to ask a friend to come down with me for moral support," Natasha explained, thinking she'd like to ask Pietro to come along if he could. She could really use some emotional support right now.

Vatar took some minor notes in his notepad that he would report back to Auspex later when they were alone. His eyes remained on Natasha as his shorthand filled the paper. It mostly pertained to the options they had going forward in helping Natasha specifically given her reaction to the harassment she was facing.

" That'll be just fine mam, as long as its within the day." Vatar said, tucking away his things.

"Again we are really sorry for what you're going through miss Lockwood. If you come across anything that's out of the ordinary please relay the information to the department. Me and Officer Tor also walk this route several days a week so if you'd feel more comfortable relaying information to us you can find us around as well." Said Auspex who had made his way directly next to Vatar.

The two of them would stand patiently to see what Natasha planned to do or if there was anything else she wanted to bring up. In truth, Vatar was the only one waiting for a response as Auspex had a stare Vatar had seen a number of times now.

Auspex had a way of reading people and their emotions. If Natasha looked like something else was bothering her he trusted his sergeant to bring it up.

"Thank you, officers... Everyone here will definitely feel a lot safer knowing that there are police patrolling in the area day and night," she admitted, feeling both grateful and relieved by their reassurance.

Getting to her feet, Natasha straightened the front of her skirt as she tried to pull herself together. Natasha didn't want to upset anyone any more than they were and preferred that people thought it was just a routine follow up by the MCI.

"And I promise I'll stop by first thing tomorrow morning to file a report at the station" she assured Vatar and his superior as she opened the door to show them out.

Vatar gave a polite "Thank You" as he stepped through the door. Not far behind was Auspex who'd given a slight tip of the hat as he passed. There was still a lot of work to be done here from what he could see and hear. While the outward appearance of everything was returned normal the underlying damage was still very present. The Investigators on the case would surely need to do a follow-up interview with Natasha but for now, the evidence would have to be enough.

The two lead themselves back to the entranceway in silence as they put on their best face that everything was okay for the members walking around. They fully expected Natasha to do the same given her carefulness earlier and thought to make her position a little easier was the least they could do.

Turning back at the front door Vatar would say "I wish you the best Ms.Lockwood. We're going to get whoever did this. These people rarely ever turn out to be clever enough to escape us for long."
