
He blushed a bit when she mentioned liking his smirk. Unlike her, however, his redness lingered longer. "Well I... I guess I've lost a bit of that confidence." He admitted, making his smile falter. He questioned the words himself. It was like his subconscious was answering her. He smiled again though, answering his subconscious. "I really shouldn't though." His eyes brightened with determination as this clicked. His green eye would seem to have fire in it. "I can't worry so much, can I? It isn't like me! I can't..! ..." He let out a sigh. Too much passion. He had worked himself up quickly. "Can't let 'things' affect me so much, can I?" He asked with his smirk returning.

She shook herself from such thoughts and grinned at him. There was still that odd, lingering feeling over the way he said things. That look in his eye. Shay had to think about this but on her own time.
"That's right. No reason to be nervous, least of all around me." She glanced at the door and went to release his hand. "Thanks for walking me home." She said that every time, she realized.






In front of the television sat a young boy, no older than six. He looked over dully when they entered, but his boredom jumped straight ti interest upon seeing Kenta.
"Ith he allowed to be here? Ith he knew?" The child had a nasty lisp caused by the large gap between his two oversized front teeth.
"It's not against the rules," Shay said irritably.


He glanced at Shay, a smile brightening his entire face. It was the smile of a troublesome younger sibling. "Tho, he'th like your boyfriend! Groth! I bet you guyth kith all the time! Eeeew!"
Shay's eyes widened and she quickly released her hold on Kenta's hand. "We are not."
