Private Fishy Food Stuffs

Sushi had been patrolling around the park for a few minutes already, completely invisible, before suddenly appearing a couple meters away from Apollo's spot. He'd started picking up dead leaves and gathering them in one hand, continuing this until his hand was full before setting the leaves down and dropping down to sit in them.

There wasn't enough of them to function as a proper chair, so it actually hurt when he plopped onto the ground. It didn't seem to bother him though. He just happily sat there and pulled out a bag of pepperettes. He tried to open the bag normally, but after a few attempts, he'd switched to trying to break open the bag with a rock and then a stick. Eventually, he gave up and brought the bag over to the nearest person.

That was Apollo. Sushi appeared before him and stared for an uncomfortable amount of time before announcing "I am Sushi, hello!"

Sushi continued to stare at Apollo as he introduced himself. He noticed the word name, but was unsure of how Apollo had used it. Sushi had just told him his own name, so that meant that he must've been introducing himself, but it was unclear which of the following words was the actual name.

The other word he understood was help, which he did in fact need. When Apollo offered his hand, Sushi placed the bag of pepperettes in his palm rather than shaking it. He then nodded at what Apollo had said earlier about needing help. "Help."

Sushi watched eagerly as Apollo opened the package and handed it back. When he grabbed hold of it, his fishy hand appeared from underneath his raincoat sleeve. Then the fish boy stared at Apollo for a good few seconds, trying to make out what he'd said before giving up and just thanking him for opening the bag. "Thank you."

Then Sushi unscrewed the top window off of his helmet, setting it down carefully on the ground. He knelt down and picked up a stick as he did this, then took out a pepperette and shoved it through the end of the stick. Finally, he shoved the stick down the top of his helmet so that he could get it to his mouth and start eating it.

Before long, he took the stick back out and the pepperette was gone.

Sushi watched carefully as Apollo wrote something down. He'd seen people do this before but never understood why they did it. He curiously got closer and tried to get a peek at what was being written down.

Sushi somewhat understood what was said this time, though not completely. You are welcome meant that he got his thanks. Then the question was maybe half understood. Sushi shook his head. "No, I am Sushi."
